Treehouse Stamps - Challenge #41 Thank You

Time for another Treehouse Challenge and this week our featured Team Member is the super sweet Yaneri from Scrapy Crafter Creations
This week she challenged all of us to make "Thank You" cards, something we can all do with having a small stash of.
So we'd love to see what you can do with this theme too!

Paper Garden had a Sketch which I turned a 1/4 turn and I dropped it on top of the sketch from Kl Stampin Scrappin. I never combine sketches but these two worked so I gave it a try.
One Stop wanted Spots and Dots
Paper Play had a Thank You theme
Saturday Spotlight wanted something Slick and I used Glossy Accents on the Umbrella, the Puddle and the Boots
Stampotique have a Spring has Sprung theme
The Cuttlebug Spot were going Digi (and some CB too)

Card Recipe:
Image - Stars and Showers digital collection from Treehouse Stamps
Paper - DCWV Flower Shower and My Minds Eye Summer Song
Die Cuts - Spellbinders
Border Punch - Martha Stewart Around the Page
Ribbon - American Crafts
Medium - Copic Markers
Shine - Glossy Accents
Sentiment - Printed in CK Diva font

Hopefully you can see his "shiny bits" on this close up.
Now we all need to remember to write more Thank You notes so use our challenge as an excuse to get one ready for that time you'll need it next.

Easter Blessings - Tilda and An Easter Basket

Hello and Happy Tuesday!
I'm looking ahead to the next holiday and so today's project is my first Easter one for 2010.
There was a super challenge at Just Magnolia with a tutorial to make a cute Easter basket and I decided to give it a try.

There are more challenges helping me along the way:

Allsorts want you to "Get Distressed with Buttons and Bows"
The Secret Crafter wanted Monochrome tones of one color and white
Saturday Spotlight wanted Teeny Tiny
Just Magnolia had a special monthly challenge of an Easter Basket
Magnolia Stamp Lovers wanted Buttons or Bows
Raise The Bar wanted a Heart to Heart
Die Cut Dreams wanted you to Have a Heart
Stamp With Fun wanted Hearts
Cutie Stampers wanted Hearts
Cute Card Thursday wanted Spots and Dots
Lucys Cards wanted Polka Dots (some on the ribbon)
Etsy Inspired had a photo store for inspiration and I chose this photo to draw the colors from
Pinkle Art had a Rose theme
Crafty Angels want your Favorite Color
Tellens Place are playing Tic Tac Toe and this is my Hat Trick with my 3rd entry! I chose Flowers, Punch and Bling!
Sketch Saturday had the sketch I used for the matching card

I want to apologize for the shadows in the photos, it's a very dark day and no matter where I stood I got shadows, I hope it doesn't spoil it too much.
I used the super sweet Jam Tilda from the Yummy In Your Tummy collection. I colored her with Copic's.
The dp is My Minds Eye.
The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls are Queen & Co.
I sat Tilda on the edge of the basket and then added a double mat behind her.
The bows are Offray.
The border punch is Valentines Lace by Martha Stewart.

The eggs were paper mache that I spray painted and then added ribbon around the middle.
The felt flowers on the handle were from Hobby Lobby.

I used the same products on the card with the addition of the Hearts "Punch Around The Page" set of punches from Martha Stewart.

The card opens a little differently than usual, I'm not sure what the "fold" is called but I think it could be an Envelope Fold as it looks like an envelope from the back when it's folded closed.

Here is a close up of cute Jam Tilda.

I'm ready for Spring to get here as we are having some cold, grey days here in Texas so be on the lookout for more bright and cheery projects coming your way!

By The Cute and Girly Challenge - Love - And blog candy as well!

Happy Monday and February too!
It's a new month and that means a new challenge at By The Cute and Girly and this month we are helping St Valentine spread Love to all!
Now my project is not the traditional Love you expect in February but it is a very special kind of Love.
When I started making cards in September 2008 I was a complete novice and didn't own any image stamps.
As my journey continued I discovered the world of card maker blogs and soon after saw people using these wonderful images they loving called "Maggies".
Of course it was all downhill from there, only joking, and I was collecting these super stamps whenever I could.
I loved all the challenges people played along with and so in May 2009 I started a blog so I could join in the fun too.
My first card on there starred Tilda and today she's starring in the biggest Magnolia project I've done to date.
I was inspired by the Christmas Countdown made by the fabulous Barb Hardeman where she used a different Tilda every day.
Now I didn't have as many spaces to fill but my project features 15 super cute Tilda faces for you to enjoy.
When you've seen the project be sure to continue reading as there is a little contest with a Tilda blog candy for the prize!

Obviously I had some other challenges that helped me create this little beauty.

The Secret Crafter wanted Hearts
Etsy Inspired had a hat store for inspiration and it was easy to find inspiration in this piece as it looks like something Tilda herself would wear!
Incy Wincy wanted you to "Put Your Hat On" and Tilda definitely likes hats!
One Stop Craft wanted you to "Make It Personal", and there's nothing more personal than my love for these cute stamps!
Saturday Spotlight had a "Bigger is Better" theme and what's bigger than one image on a card?, 15 on a house!LOL
Fussy and Fancy wanted Hearts
Lil Red Wagon wanted to see Hearts
Just Magnolia wanted Hearts and Flowers
Paper Popsicles had a Love theme
The Paper Garden wanted Love and Ribbon (there's a bow on the top of the house ;))
The Pink Elephant was "All About Pink"
Inky Impressions want Pink and Hearts (lots of that! LOL)
Pixie Dust wanted a 3D project

I bought the house at Hobby Lobby in the unfinished state.
I spray painted it with Krylon.
I used the Martha Stewart Valentines Lace border to extremem and then added strings of pearls from Hobby Lobby too.
Each Tilda was colored with Copics and then they each have a little "stand" on the back of them so they stand up like a photo.
There is dp in the top "shelf" part but you can't really see it in the photos.

Tilda's 1 through 5.

Tilda's 6 through 15.

All of them together.

I don't know if you can read it but the sentiment says "I could not bear to be without you" and I'm sure if you're a Maggie Lover you'll know that's a very apt one.

Now on to the fun stuff.
I have a little prize for anyone that's interested....do you want to play?
If you are a Magnolia fan this will be easy (or maybe not so easy).
I just need you to send me the stamp names of all the Tilda's in this project.
From left to right, top row is #1 through 5, 2nd row is 6 through 10 and the bottom row is 11 through 15.
When you've got the answers leave me a comment including "I've emailed you the answers" (or words like that) and then send me your answers using the email link at the top of the right sidebar.
Don't leave your answers in the comments but do leave a comment so I can keep track of who to expect an email from.
On Friday I'll draw from all the right answers and post the winner and answer for all to see.
Now what do you get for all this hard work?
Well, you'll get this!
(I don't know why Blogger turned the image, I've kept trying again and it just turns it so you'll have to turn your head to see! LOL)

Tilda With Strawberries stamp (hint she's NOT one in the house)
Clear stamp set
4 large flower brads
1 yard of pearls
5 paper roses
2 handmade flowers

Even if you have the stamp and don't want to be entered for the drawing I hope you'll play along for fun as it will prove whether you're a Maggie Expert or not! LOL
I hope you'll join in and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Treehouse Stamps Challenge- Flowers and Butterflies

Happy Thursday everyone!
It's time for another challenge at Treehouse Stamps.
This weeks featured Design Team member is Kelly and you can see her wonderful creations at Kelly's Stampin Habit. She's a little "creatively challenged" at the moment as her right arm is in a cast but she still made a wonderful card for the challenge this week!
This weeks challenge was to included both Flowers and a Butterfly (or two) on your project and it was nice to get in the mood for the upcoming Spring season.

I found a few other challenges that helped me create this card.

Mojo Monday gave me the sketch
Frosted Designs want to see Chipboard
Cute Card Thursday had a "Blooming Gorgeous" theme
Die Cuts R Us wanted to see Ribbon
Saturday Spotlight had a Sunshine theme
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle had a Spring theme
Corrosive wanted Fancy Folds
Cupcake Crafts wanted a Matching Set
Practical Scrappers wanted Patterned Paper
Flutterby Wednesdays had an Open theme as long as it has an Angel, Fairy or Butterfly on it
Quixotic had a challenge of Flutterby

I made an easel card with a matching bookmark using the Tulips from the Spring Blessings digital stamp set
I printed two of the images in a large form for the card and 3 smaller ones for the bookmark. I colored the images and cut out one of the large ones and popped it up on to the one on the card.
The Copic colors I used are G82, G94, Y11, Y15, Y21, Y35, Y38 and YR65. I outlined the images with W1.
The green dp is Love Elsie and the yellow polka dots is K&Co.
The sentiment is K&Co too.
The chipboard butterflies are American Crafts.
The border punch is Martha Stewart.

I used dewdrops on the top of the message mat to make the card "stopper".

Here you can see the depth on the flowers.

I put the bookmark in a bookmark cover and added a ribbon to the top.

So dust off your Spring supplies, find a blue sky for inspiration and create a design for us all to see!

La La Lands Guest DT - Pink and Green for Christmas

Happy Wednesday and my 2 post of the day!
It's time for another challenge over at LaLa Lands and this week the theme is "Pink and Green for Christmas".
It has been a great color combo amongst the paper companies for this Holiday Season so you should have no trouble joining in.
Actually I didn't use any Christmas dp on this card, I found some from a Summer stack that I loved and thought worked great for this theme.

I have a few other challenges with this card too:
Cute Card Thursday had a theme of Swirly Girly
Frosted Designs wanted to see Scallops
Saturday Spotlight wanted to see Christmas Flowers
All That Scraps wanted a Christmas Card
Corrosive Challenges had a great sketch

As I said earlier, these are Summer papers from My Minds Eye but I still hop it has a Holiday feel.
I stamped Sitting Lala and colored her with Copics and then cut her out. I made a big present for her to sit on and she looks like she's guarding it with her life, maybe it has Zhu Zhu pets in it! LOL
I used a Martha Stewart punch for the scalloped border and added gold faux stitching to the pink panel and to the swirlies.
The flowers are Prima and the sentiment is from Walmart from last year.

Inside is a message mat with more faux stitching.

I think LaLa is very lucky to have such a big present, I wonder if she can wait until Christmas to peek inside? :)
Have a great rest of your week!

La La Lands Guest DT - Buttons, Buttons, Buttons!

Here's todays 2nd post!
The challenge over at La La Lands this week is to use Buttons! If you are anything like me then you have lots floating around in your room/supply so you have no excuse not to join in this week!
I've kept with the Christmas theme but you can chose whatever theme you like and you could be a lucky winner!

I added a few other challenges along the way.

Truly Scrumptious gave me the sketch with an option of a "Sparkly Flourish"
Paper Cutz had an "Anything Goes" theme
Handfull of Stamps wanted "No Plain Jane Ribbon"
Paper Maniac wanted you to use a fancy cardstock so I chose the metallicas by American Crafts
Allsorts wanted to see Buttons and so did Anns Creative Nook
Crazy 4 Challenges want to see you get "Punch Happy"
Saturday Spotlight want to see Hats!
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle had an open Christmas theme as did Creative Card Crew and Practical Scrappers too.
Corrosive wanted a Red and Green Christmas card
365 Cards Day 275 wanted Red and Green too and so did Cupcake Craft

I chose to use Winter LaLa this week and to make her extra Festive I added a pom pom to her hat!
I colored her with Copic's and added Prismacolor gold pen for her buttons.
I used Jess James mini button to edge the scalloped oval Nestie that she is popped up on.
I used American Crafts foil cardstock for her mat and the side panel, I love this cardstock and think it adds so much to a Holiday card.
The dp is from the Peppermint Forest Stack from Joanns.
The border punch is Deco Fan by Martha Stewart.
I made the rosette from ribbon from Michaels "Celebrate It" ribbon from this years selection. The sentiment is from this years "Christmas Crafts" selection at Hobby Lobby.

The inside is a decorated message mat.

Here I hope you can see I cut out Lala after coloring her and popped her up for dimension. I love how these stamps are designed to have enough design to make them fun and interesting to color but they are easy to cut out giving you more options for your card.

So please go and grab and a button or 5 and join in this weeks challenge at La La Lands

Let's Get Punchy and have your Die Cuts at the Ready!

Here's todays 2nd post!
It's my 2nd week as a guest at La La Lands and this weeks challenge is to use your Punches and Die Cuts.
How more perfect for me could that be?
Also if you are in the Carson CA area this Saturday and Sunday be sure to check out the Stamp in the Hand show where you'll find La La Lands stamps (and examples ) at the Stamp On Over booth.

Of course I had to add more challenges to this super cute card.

Etsy Inspired had a photographer's store for inspiration and I chose the Haystack Series of photos to work with the cute Maya image.
One Stop Challenges wanted a Card for a Child
Saturday Spotlight wanted you to be "Repeatedly Useful" and use an image more than once on a card
Scrap Stamp and Doodle wanted to see "Special Folds" so I did another of my new favorite Easel cards
Charisma Cardz gave me the sketch
Allsorts wanted you to "Bring Out Your Bling!"
Alphabet Challenge wanted to see Decoupage so I stamped and colored two Maya's and decoupaged her.

I chose super sweet Happy Maya for this card and I'm sure she'll bring a smile to anyones face.
I colored her with Copic's and chose a few parts to decoupage to add more depth.
The papers are old from my stash. I used a QK circle to cut out Maya and matted her with a scalloped Nestie.
I used the brand new deep edge garden lattice punch from Martha Stewart and the green "pearls" are from Martha too.
The yellow buttons are from The Paper Studio and the ribbon is Michaels.
I faux stitched at the edges wih a Prismacolor pen.

This is my second easel card this week and I just love how this style of card showcases the wonderful image.

So grab your punches and dies and come and play over at La La Lands!

La La Lands Guest DT- Pink Challenge

Happy Wednesday!
I was very honored to be asked to join as a Guest Designer at La La Lands for November and December!
If you're a follower of mine you'll know that most weeks I join their challenges and have won on a few occasions too!
So it was easy to say yes and today is my very first card in my guesting role.
And the challenge was a super one for me as it was to use the color Pink!
Of course I had to add a few other challenges along the way.
Three Clovers wanted a card/project for a Teenager.
Stamps and Smiles gave me the sketch
Hand Full Of Stamps wanted 4 of something
Daring Cardmakers wanted you to Get Punchy
Fun With Shapes and More wanted Frames and Borders
Die Cuts R Us wanted you to "Nest Something"
Kraftin Kimmie said "Tag You're It!"
One Stop Craft wanted to see you use Text Paper
Saturday Spotlight wanted the theme of "In So Many Words" and I think the background text paper works here :)

I used the super cute Sweet LaLa and in fact she's the first LaLa Lands stamp I've created a card with!
I colored her twice with Copic's and cut out and popped up on image on the other for dimension.
I've used 3 different dp, 2 are DCWV and the other is a Paper Pizazz. I love that with card making you can use papers from years ago and as long as your style and design is current it all works!
I used fabric brads for the "4" challenge and I framed LaLa with a Nestie and added a border using the wonderful Valentines Lace border punch from Martha Stewart.
The sentiment is from The Paper Studio mounted on a vellum heart tag from Making Memories.

Inside is more dp and a message mat.

You cna see the shadow formed by the "popping" of LaLa and I hope you like her.
I'd love to see your Pink Creation so be sure to drop by La La Lands and join in the fun!
