I noticed this in the window of a shop near the University of Texas. FFP was trying to figure out why I thought it was so funny and then he noticed the Longhorn logo on the shoes.

Chic Shoes

We walked to a party the other day. It was about a mile over there I guess. Unfortunately, we tried to go down the trail at one point and it was closed so we ended up just going out of our way. We had on dressy but comfortable shoes. The people at the party which was a mostly stand-up affair outdoors were dressed in very chic outfits. But I'm guessing the gal in these shoes (and maybe even the guy in the great spectators) drove to the party.

High Glam, High Energy

Last night we attended a high glam fashion show at The Driskill Hotel given by a friend of ours, Stephen Moser, who is terminally ill.  It was a chance for him to show off his designs, a collection which he has been working on for something like nine years.  Here you see some shoes by another local designer who was also showing his creations on the runway.

Another entry in my "abandoned shoe" series.  I saw this silver high heel on a morning walk to an appointment a couple of days ago. When you see just one like this, you wonder what happened to the mate.

Fashion Pumps

At the fashion show at Neiman's the other night I turned my camera briefly down to the feet of the front row spectators. Swinging in time to the driving fashion show music were the heels of some very fashionable ladies.
