Walk the walk, love the mural

We took a nice walk in Clarksville today. Here you see my backside in a photo taken by my wife, Linda Ball. The mural on the side of Nau's Drugstore says, "Love is the question, love is the answer." Hard to argue.

Coke signs stolen!

Two of the three Coca-Cola signs on this historic Austin drug store were stolen during the night a few weeks ago. The owner took the third one down because she was fearful they would come for it as well.

Moving the church

This quaint west Austin church is being shifted on its site to make way for condos. I think it was called the First English Lutheran Church.

A quiet walk

We were on one of our usual treks through the dog park off West 9th and I caught this shot of Linda walking in front of me. We love our walks.

Lots of good words here, in perfect order. Lots of good lessons here, too.

It's been a while -- wanted to say hi to Freddie Kruger who is still hanging out on Elm.

Yard art -- strutting around

We saw this cock of the walk in a Clarksville yard the other day. He is eyeing that bug next to him!

Book promotion

The author of this book must live in this Clarksville bungalow. Or maybe the owner here is just a friend.

Guarding the Street

We walked down a dead-end street the other day and these two promptly came to the window. One barked vociferously while the other looked out for other interlopers.

Clarksville Untamed

We walked down one of the dead end streets in Clarksville and, yes, there is a manufactured home neatly perched there. Gentrification is not yet complete.

Yard Decoration

This is a detail from a yard on 12th Street in Clarksville showing some of their outdoor decoration. There is a nice spirit in this area's private homes.

Outdoor Study

This house in Clarksville has some colorful porch furniture including a desk. Now that the weather isn't so blazing hot, it might be nice to sit outside and do homework or write a letter.
