TGIF my friends!
I made this card for the TGF release this month pairing this sweet gal from the Miss Anya Crop set with the classic Home Sweet Home pooches. I had been wanting to add the Home Sweet Home set to my collection for years and when I saw that it was part of the last Farmer's Market I snapped it up. Then when it came time to create for the release I knew that this cute Miss Anya would tell a really fun story with these naughty pups and that torn up couch. She's come home to find a mess but instead of getting mad she knows the best thing you can do in such situations is just try to laugh it off.
Alrighty then, I'll see ya tomorrow with a weekend of new release fun at 7 Kids!

All the fish in the sea...
Hello, hello!
I'm still working hard behind the scenes on this weekend's Sweet November release so today I'm sharing one of the cards from the May release Lives. This version of mermaid Loire found her playing in the shallows with pretty red hair to match the orange hues in her koi tail. Later I finished off the card by adding this great sentiment to the new Mama Elephant 3D arch banner die. I think it is a nice touch and something a bit different from my standard stamping directly on the background itself. :)
Laters!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press it
digital stamps- Sweet November (Loire and Surfacing background builder)
stamp- Picket Fence Studio (Vitamin Sea)
ink- Memento tuxedo black
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax set 1
Mama Elephant 3D arch banner die
Nuvo cloud nine dream drops
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
Sharpie extra fine white pen
Copic markers:
sorry, I don't have a list but you can see the colors used in the video here.

Stolen chip...
Olo!
Just a quick post as I am off and running this morning. I've had this card actually printed out and started since the first of the month but I just now finished it up. I knew I had this fun sentiment in my stash so I printed out a bunch of Gully the seagulls from the Sweet November Surfacing release, then drew in a little chip in the one's beak to play out the fun scene.
Alrighty, time to scoot... have a good one!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
digital stamp- Sweet November (Gully)
stamp- Essentials by Ellen (Stay Salty)
ink- Memento tuxedo black
Sharpie extra fine white pen

Hello...
Hey there!
It's time for me to gear up for the June SN release which makes this week the perfect time to post some of the extra DT cards that I did this month. Like this one for The Greeting Farm featuring the new Hi/Hello die set. I love these oversized sentiment dies and how easy they make a big impact in your card design, plus Marie's script writing is to-die-for pretty! For this card I doubled up the Hello die and glued the black and white layers together just a bit off set so that the black created a nice drop shadow. I chose to ink up Smile Anya to go with the sentiment and I added some glasses from the Spectacular set just because I thought her raised hand kind of looked like she was adjusting her specs. And I think it all came together to make a simply sweet card for a friend. :)
Alrighty, back to the grind. See ya in 24!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Catherine Pooler

In a sea of fish...
Good morning!
I've got another lovely Some Odd Girl mermaid to share from a past SOG coloring challenge. I feel like I am doing pretty good this month with getting a bunch finally on cards. I actually did some stamp altering by mashing up Little Black Dress Mae with Mermaid Dakota's lower half in order to create this beauty. For that reason I had to do some fussy cutting for the first time in a long while. So I colored in a quickie kelp bed then glued her into place, along with a sweet little fish friend from the MFT Gill Friends set. I think they make for a cute pairing. ;)
Ok, I'm off to work... hope your Monday is off to a great start.
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
digital stamps- Some Odd Girl (Little Black Dress Mae and Mermaid Dakota)
stamps- My Favorite Things (Gill Friends), Colorado Craft Company (Be a Mermaid)
ink- Memento tuxedo black and Papertrey Ink ripe avocado
Ranger liquid pearls
Ranger glossy accents
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
Sharpie extra fine white pen
Copic markers:
sand- E30, E31, E33, E23, E25
water- B000, B00, BG53
seaweed- YG01, YG03, YG25, YG95, YG97, YG99, G94

Moonlight Whispers May release!
Hello, hello!
I'm back today with a handful of new cards to help celebrate this month's Moonlight Whispers digital stamp release which is now available in Annie's Etsy shop. There are three new images being released today, each one of them capturing those wonderful carefree summer days; Fresh Limonade, Puppy at the Beach and The Sandcastle.
First up is Fresh Limonade. Ahhhh, to be as relaxed as this stylin' beach resort babe. It doesn't get much better than a warm tropical breeze and a cold drink in your hand with nowhere to be and all the time in the world to just sit back and chill. Everyone else on that beach may have headed back to the hotel but there is no rushing this pretty gal as she basks in that glorious sunset.
Next we have Puppy at the Beach who seems to be getting into all sorts of mischief. All this gal wanted to do was walk back to the resort in peace but her playful pup has other ideas. Perhaps he wants to stay and play in the waves some more or maybe more sniffing of those palm trees is in order. Either way he has grabbed hold of her wrap and he isn't letting go! ;)
And finally we are wrapping up this release with The Sand Castle. This sweet father/daughter duo are enjoying a fun beach vacation with plenty of sun, sand and sea to inspire good times that will become life long memories for each of them. From the look of things an attempt to build the most epic sand castle has become more of an exercise in burying pops neck deep in the sand and she is looking quite pleased with herself.
Alrighty, well I hope you've enjoyed this summer fun release and head on over to the Moonlight Whispers shop to create some summer fun of your own!

Just keep swimming...
Hello friends!
I'm up on the Blogabella with another Scenic Saturday card today. I couldn't let MerMay come and go without inking up the beautiful Tiny Townie Mermaid. She is definitely one of my all time favorites and making an under the sea scene with her is super easy because of all the fun little element stamps that come with her. With a bit of masking I was able to have her floating right among all that seaweed and her special treasure chest. But I didn't stop there, I also grabbed the Under the Sea Backdrop set while I had everything masked and by strategically inking first one side and stamping then shifting the stamp and inking the opposite side then stamping, I was able to make a long stamp, designed more for horizontal cards, work on my vertical card because where the lines would meet is hidden behind the treasure. For me that is part of the fun of stamping, seeing how I can work with the stamps I have in different ways like masking, layering and selective inking, to really stretch how I can use them on various cards. So as always I encourage you to look at the Bella stamps you have in your crafty stash with fresh eyes and an adventurous spirit as you come up with new and fun stamp combinations. :)
Toodles!

Wide open spaces...
Hi friends!
I am over on The Greeting Farm blog today and the third cutie from the new Miss Anya Crop set has been pretty adamant about getting on a card of her own. So I started to look her over and see where her fun look would lead me in coming up with a scene for her. Right off the bat I pictured her in a jean jacket, which then led me to the floral print mini skirt. Add those tall cowboy boots to that ensemble and I had a down home country cutie standing before me. So of course she needed some farm land to live in as well as a friend from the retired McSplendid Farm set to keep her company. It's always fun to see where a stamp takes you and just how versatile these characters from The Greeting Farm can be. ;)
Stay crafty!

Lots of sunshine...
Hello, hello!
Have you seen the newest Mama Elephant stamps to arrive at 7 Kids? They are SO cute! I just got my hands on a couple of the new summer sets and I couldn't wait to get these cute Beach Chickies on a card. Because they are on the smaller side I wanted to change things up a bit and instead of coloring in an entire card front I cut a skinny strip and contained my beachy scene within it so it reads as more of a snapshot. This left me some room to play with a stenciled background as well. Rather than color them up as traditional chicks I thought it made more sense to have a bunch of seagulls playing at the beach so out came my grey markers. From the looks of these pudgy little seagulls they certainly don't miss many opportunities to steal a french fry or two, LOL! All in all this turned into quite the happy little card. ;)

I miss seaing you...
Hello friends!
So I got this sweet Little Coral Girl mermaid from Picket Fence Studios late last fall and she has been waiting ever so patiently for MerMay. Now here we are and it is time to get her on a card. I stamped her in desert sand for some no-line coloring along with some of the extra accessory stamps like the seaweed and hermit crabs. Once I had them and the
background colored up I grabbed the little fish silhouette stamps and added them to the water in a light blue ink along with some of the larger, more detailed fish from the I am a Mermaid set in a darker blue. I thought the sentiment suited her demure look quite nicely and pulled the whole scene together. :)
Alrighty, I'm off for a fun day of crafting and coloring, catch ya in 24!

A smooth sea...
Hey there!
Yesterday was another busy day with no time for coloring which made today the perfect day to share this card that I did during Saturday's Live coloring video in the 7 Kids Customers Create group. We were celebrating the Sweet November Vault release for May, which is still available at 7 Kids until Saturday the 25th, and the gals voted on coloring up Shimmer Redkelp and her pal Otto. We had so much fun getting carried away with the whole pirate theme, first by turning her bandana into a pirate flag then dressing her otter pals as little deck hands and finally by adding in the pirate ship and stormy sky for extra drama... I'm telling you, we had a blast with this one! The rest of the card I put together after the fact by finding the perfect sentiment in my stamp stash and some washi tapes that matched the clothes my characters ended up wearing. I can't even tell you how happy this different tke on Shimmer makes me, I smile from ear to ear every time I look at it. :)
TTFN!

Simply wonderful...
Good morning!
How about a bit of Dreamerland fun today? I've had this Happy Together stamp sitting on my desk for a while now just waiting for the right inspiration to come along and spark the perfect scene for these two pals. Sometimes that inspiration comes in the form of another stamp set. I recently added the Lake house Try Folds set by Art Impressions to my collection and those little row boats where just what I needed to get me to see these two looking out over a lake on a beautiful early summer afternoon. I did alter the girl just a bit as the original image has her holding up a hand to catch a leaf but by simply wiping the ink off of it before stamping she now looks to be leaning back and resting on that hill. Did they just row in from the other side of the lake or are they thinking about jumping into one of those boats? Who knows? Either way though I think this turned out pretty darn cute. :)
Laters!

It's time for a Sweet November Vault release!
Today is the day we are opening up the Sweet November Vault at 7 Kids
and reintroducing you to some classic SN images. We are continuing to celebrate MerMay this month by bringing back three of the original Sweet November mermaids that were
originally released back in 2010. So for the next week Shimmer Redkelp, Bubbles Lostlagoon and Pearl Tidepool will be available in the 7 Kids store. :)
First up is Shimmer Redkelp... most of the year Shimmer makes her home off of the Pacific Coast. She travels with her sea otter pal, Otto, to all the best kelp beds from Washington to California. Shimmer has a chill, laid back attitude and she is always up for a fun game of tag or hide and seek. And if you are ever driving up the Pacific Coast highway and see a flash and sparkle out on the water it just may be Shimmer waving a quick hello.
Next we have Bubbles Lostlagoon. What can I say... she's just a bit scattered and gets easily distracted on her journey, LOL! Bubbles is a ditsy, giggly, sweetheart of a girl who makes her home in the Caribbean where she travels from island to island with her octopus friend, Palu. Bubbles is a good times girl who loves to laugh (which I suspect is why she and Palu are BFF... no one can tickle quite like an octopus can)
And finally our last finned friend to arrive is Pearl Tidepool. Pearl has traveled all the way from the Indian ocean and her little pal, Seamoor decided to tag along. This fun loving pair of friends love to ride the currents and dance through the waves. Pearl is always the life of any undersea party... all the fish love her! It must be the hilarious jokes she always tells... fish just love to laugh, ya know!

Swim hard, play hard, love hard...
TGIF!
Since I am busy gearing up for this month's Sweet November Vault release tomorrow I didn't have time to work on a new card for today. But as luck would have it, I still had this all colored up from the SN release Live coloring video earlier this month, all I had to do was find a sentiment and get her on a card. Mermaid Talise got paired up with two little seagulls this time around and the colors are all nice and bright.
Ok, I've really got to run but I will be back tomorrow with a whole lot of Vault release fun!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
digital stamps- Sweet November (Talise, Gully and Surfacing Background)
stamp- Picket Fence (Little Coral Girl)
ink- Versafine onyx black
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax set 1
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
Sharpie extra fine white pen
Copic markers:
I didn't keep a list but the video can be found here

The world is her ocean...
Olo!
After this brief release hiatus I am back with another MerMay card and once again I am getting a previously colored SOG mer onto a card. So far there have been four beautiful new mermaid digis released at Some Odd Girl this month but before I can add them to my collection I am challenging myself to get some of my older ones finished first. Mermaid Bath has been waiting a year to get a background to live in and now she finally has a scenic view to enjoy from her tub. Rather than enjoying tropical waters this particular mermaid looks to be calling the Pacific Northwest waters her happy place.
Ok, well I should get this day going. TTFN!

For my card today I paired a guy and gal together for some flirty fun, just look at him checking her out, LOL!

Yass Queen...
Hey there!
We are picking back up with day three of the Greeting Farm's May release and we are introducing the new Minkie character with the Minkie #1 set which includes this quirky little gal in several different poses. Being on the small side these little stamps are perfect for planners and journals as well as a variety of cards. For my card today I was drawn to this little queen yelling at the top of her lungs and all I could hear in my head was "Yass queen"! And if an idea like that makes me chuckle then it's pretty much guaranteed that I will run with it. So I printed out the sentiment nice and big then used a border die to create a giant speech bubble floating above her. Talk about being small in size and BIG on attitude, LOL!
Be sure to check out the TGF blog to see all of the fun cards from my fellow Farmers using the new Minkie's #1 set. Then check back tomorrow for the final day of previews. :) Supply list:

I am my mother's garden...
Happy Saturday!
I'm back on the Bellarific Blog today with a Scenic Saturday card and this is a special one that I made to give to my Mama for Mother's Day tomorrow. She loves puttering in her garden, growing flowers, fruits and veggies so I knew that Curvy Girl Gardener would be perfect. To fill out the scene I grabbed the Garden Backdrop and it was a match made in heaven. The Backdrop stamps are great for creating an instant scene without all the pressure of coming up with something from scratch. And while they work great as-is, you can also embellish them and make them a bit more customized for your card just by how you choose to color them. For instance, I wanted this scene to be chalk full of bright, colorful flowers so instead of coloring in the entire fence in a light wood grain I only colored in the tops of each plank then in the white space I free handed in rows of colorful flowers and dark green leaves and because I had stamped in a brown ink the darker Copic colors hide the original fence lines. Talk about easy peasy!
Alrighty, well much love to all the amazing mamas out there. I hope you are completely pampered and showered in love from your families tomorrow!
