Hey there!
I'm just popping in real quick to share the second card that I've made for this month's digi release at Moonlight Whispers. This beautiful gal is called Jukebox and Milkshake for pretty obvious reasons, LOL! You know she got all dolled up to hang out with her friends at the malt shop hoping to flirt with some of the cute greasers who stop by after racing their suped up cars. Just look at her acting all coy as she leans up against that jukebox. Why I bet she even has some classic Patsy Cline playing "Crazy" behind her. Both she and Happy Days are now available for purchase and you don't want to miss adding these fun retro images to your digi collection. :)
Later gators!

Rock around the clock...
Hello, hello!
I'm here posting on the weekend because this month's Moonlight Whispers digital release is now available in Annie's Etsy shop. This month's theme will have you rockin' and a rollin', movin' and a groovin'! For my card I have colored up Happy Days in all her beboppin' glory, isn't she a beauty?! Of course I couldn't resist going with a traditional pink poodle skirt with some black accents thrown in for extra sass. And wouldn't you know I had the perfect accessory stamp to go with her... the ol' MW juke box from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I'm telling you, this is why I don't get rid of stamps... you just never know when they are going to be perfect on a card again. ;)
Alrighty, well I hope you enjoy checking out the new stamps at Moonlight Whispers and find some time to get your color on this weekend!

Thinking of you...
TGIF!
I've been getting ready for releases which didn't leave me with a lot of time to make a card for today. I was trying to think of something quick and easy to color when I ran across the 12 Days of Coloring challenge over in the Some Odd Girl group. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to play along this go round but it did remind me that I have a bunch of SOG images already colored up from the previous challenges. So I grabbed that stack and flipped through until I found one to turn into a card. Swing Mae caught my eye and all I had to do to finish her off was color in a simple background then pair her with some pretty papers... voila! another stamp finally fulfilling its crafty destiny. ;)
Alrighty, well I hope I see you back here tomorrow for some Moonlight Whispers fun!

More than friends...
Hi friends!
I am over on The Greeting Farm blog today and I simply could not resist coloring up a couple of cuties from the brand new Hairoscope kit that I got in the mail Monday. The kit includes 12 little Beans and their hairstyles play off the 12 different signs of the zodiac. Now when the pre-order for the kit first went up I read a lot of comments from fellow crafters who just aren't into the whole zodiac thing, so even though I enjoy astrology as a theme myself I figured it would be fun to show how easy it is to change up their hairstyles and make these little sweeties even more versatile. I ended up grabbing Capricorn and Cancer because I liked the way these two interact with each other, I mean come on with that side eye... you just know these two are plotting some shenanigans. Because I decided to give Cancer dark hair the change was as easy as coloring blunt ends onto her pigtails, letting the marker colors mask the original claw like ends. Capricorn took a bit more work to get rid of her hair 'horns' by wiping the ink off the 'horns' before stamping then using a black pen to complete the missing hair lines on the back of her head. Now it looks like she simply has her bangs pulled back away from her face. I hope this might inspire some of you to look at your themed stamps with an eye towards the simple tweaks you can make opening up the possibilities of your stamp collection. :)
Have a colorful day!

The brightest stars...
Hey there!
So I did something a bit different with my card for 7 Kids today. As I was stamping up these tiny fairies from the Mama Elephant Little Fairy Agenda set I had the idea of making them glow like fireflies. To do this effectively I knew that I would have to color them into a relatively dark background but I didn't want to have them floating in a solid dark void. So I compromised a bit and imaged a dusky evening just after the last strong rays of sun have set over the horizon. There is still that slight glow but everything around you is hazy and indistinct. Once again I pulled out the much used flowers from the TGF With Love set and stamped a few right up front in the very close foreground of the scene. Then I took advantage of all the different poses these little fairies come in and started stamping them on like they are flying in to land on the flowers. The coloring was actually pretty quick and easy as I worked with a very limited palette of yellow and purple, the only tricky part was making sure I left space on the flowers to reflect the fairies magic glow. I'm thinking that I probably could have gone a bit bolder with the darker colors in the sky but all in all I'm super happy with the story this card tells. :)

True friendship...
Hello, hello!
Ok so I have been totally dying to ink up the Forest Friends stamp set from Craftin' Desert Divas ever since it came out. By now I'm sure you all realize that I am a huge fantasy/fairy tale nerd so this set was a total must have from the moment I first laid eyes on it. The variety of mythological cuties and little forest critters just make me unbelievably happy. I have SO many ideas for this set but the first one that I wanted to translate into a card was this scene between the pretty leaf sprite and that cute little wooden boy. I stamped the sprite high on the card because I knew that I wanted to color her into a big leafy tree looking down on her friend standing among the flowers. I actually borrowed those flowers from another great CDD set called Make a Wish, I just love how all the accessory stamps are so easy to mix and match between these sets. The friendship sentiment is by Mama Elephant and I just thought it brought together these two quirky cuties in a really special way. I love how this looks like a chance meeting and you can only imagine all of the adventures these two will go on together from here. :)
Well thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a good one!

You make my days brighter...
Good morning!
After being sick last week, I'm relieved to be starting this week off feeling almost like my old self again. I've got more pep in my step and my creative mojo is on the return so you will hear no complaints from me. In fact I was eager to tackle a more intricate scene so I flipped through my newest additions to my Dreamerland stamps collection and was inspired by this pretty girl and her little bunny. The stamp is called Pleasant Fragrance and is part of the January 2019 release. There are so many different directions I could take this and in the end I saw her idling her day away in a charming park, picking flowers and daydreaming of fantastical things. I had a lot of fun adding a creek into the scene along with a quaint footbridge to add a bit more interest to the background. :)
Alrighty friends, talk at'cha later!

Have a great day...
TGIF!
It's my day to post at 7 Kids and when it came time to decide on which stamps to color up these little Sunshine Friends from Picket Fence totally won me over. I'm pretty sure that I added the one peeking from behind the heart hedge to my collection first but when I got the tall standing cutie I could just see these two interacting really well with each other. All I had to tweak in order for the scene to work was make sure I didn't ink up the bottom half of the heart hedge so that it looked more like it is growing directly out of the ground. Then I masked off the taller flower sprite and stamped the hedge again to stretch it all the way across the card. Now they look like two friends chatting with each other on a lovely afternoon. I'm such a sucker for these fun Sunshine Friends and I can't help but hope that Picket Fence will introduce more so this little circle of friends can continue to grow. ;)
Well, I hope you all have a beautiful spring weekend to enjoy. See you on Monday!

Happy Easter...
Hey there!
I've been sick as a dog all week but I finally think that I'm on the mend. My energy has been so zapped but luckily most of my cards for this week were already done and ready to be posted. These two were actually colored up last Saturday during my Live coloring videos in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group when I was just starting to come down with this nasty cough. Yesterday I finally had the energy to get them on card bases and snap some pics so I would have a post for today. And it all works out with pretty good timing because I can remind everyone that the Sweet November Vault is only open for a couple more days. Come Saturday morning these Bunny Babies will be hopping back into the Vault for good. :)
Alrighty, I've got this one last day to rest up before heading back to work. Later gators!

Pink and Main's 5th Birthday Blog Hop!
Hello my crafty friends!
I'm super excited to be celebrating Pink and Main's 5th Birthday as one of their guest bloggers for the big celebratory blog hop today! Five years of cute stamps and fun dies is quite the accomplishment and we think that is something worth throwing a party for! And what's a party without some gifts? Well five lucky Pink and Main friends who leave some love on every stop in the hop will each win a $50 gift certificate to the store. Now that is totally worth making the time to oooh and awww over all the amazing cards that have been made by my fellow crafters using the brand new March release! There is a whole lot of inspiration to be found in this hop and you've got until the 24th to complete it, then the winners will be announced on the Pink and Main blog March 25h.
I decided to make a fun shaker card with the new Bee-Day stamp set for the hop today. Aren't they just as cute as can bee? LOL! I stamped and masked all three of the darling bees on the bottom half of my card leaving plenty of room for the large Birthday Script sentiment up above. I love the coordinating Happy Birthday die that works with the stamp set creating a pretty outline effect on each of the letters. All together they make for a very cheery and playful birthday card.
Alrighty, so to keep this party moving the next stop on the hop is Dana at Got Joy Creations. If you get lost on the hop you can always refer back to the Pink and Main blog for the master list.

My love language...
Hello, hello!
You know we couldn't wrap up this personal challenge until I had also shared my altered version of Uptown Zodiac Girl Pisces. Half of the fun was coming up with little tweaks to these Zodiac themed stamps to help stretch their versatility for more everyday type cards. So yesterday I shared my Pisces card as is, and while I know it would have been super easy just to use her as a mermaid with no altering necessary I wanted to show how simple it is to give this mer her land legs. By wiping the starfish from her hair as well as a bit of her tail just below the fins at her waist before stamping, then using a Copic multiliner pen to draw in her missing hair and a new front to the skirt she becomes a pretty, every day kind of gal. Sure, if you are feeling brave you could even draw in legs but the easier route is to simply cut the scene off just above her knees. So even though I chose to do that to make the transformation easier, it also gave me room to play around with pretty papers and embellishments in my card design as well. I would call that a win/win! ;)
Well thanks so much for sticking with me through this fun challenge. I'm thinking I just may have to tackle all the sweet garden girls next... what do you think?

Pisces...
Good morning!
Whew! I made it. It took 12 whole months but I have finally completed my personal challenge to create a birthday card for each of the Stamping Bella Zodiac Girls. This month I am wrapping it all up with Uptown Zodiac Girl Pisces. Pisces is the sign of the Fish and she is intuitive, emotional, imaginative, romantic, impressionable and mystical. She is also adaptable and very changeable. Her signature colors are pale green and turquoise, the dreamy colors of the sea. I gotta say, it feels great to have seen this all the way through. As I have a tendency to collect stamps faster than I can get them on cards it becomes a small victory to see all of these stamps fulfill their stampy destiny. ;)
Tomorrow I will have the altered version of Pisces to share so be sure to check back then!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
stamps- Stamping Bella (Uptown Zodiac Girl Pisces), Papertrey Ink (star gazer and star gazer additions)
ink- Memento tuxedo black

It's a Bunny Baby vault release!
Hello, hello!
Today is the day we are opening up the Sweet November Vault at 7 Kids and reintroducing you to some classic SN images. And even though there is still snow on the ground in my neck of the woods Easter is right around the corner so we figured it was the perfect time to bring out a few of the Bunny Babies that were first released back in early 2010. The Bunny Babies are playful tots ready to celebrate spring in all it's wonder and glory. You won't find an ounce of mischief in these little ones... they are just as sweet as can be!
This first Bunny Baby has come eye to eye with a delicate little butterfly pausing to rest on the tip of her nose, so she holds ever so still in hopes of making this magical moment last as long as she can.
And finally this little cutie is busy coloring eggs for the big egg hunt Easter morning and he takes his job very seriously, making sure that each one is beautiful and unique.
The March SN Vault will be open all week so there is plenty of time to get your hands on these cuties. And I will be coloring Live in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group today at 11am and 3pm PST so I hope to see your there!

Hats off, you did it!
Hey there!
Are you ready for the third and final day of the Greeting Farm's March release previews? We are wrapping up previews with a new clear set for the upcoming graduation season called, Graduation. This set includes five fun graduates all decked out in their caps and gowns as well as a handful of sentiments and accessory stamps. Graduation will be available for purchase tomorrow, the 15th along with the other new stamp sets. For my card today I chose the two grads in the set who have excitedly flung their caps in the air at the end of the ceremony and colored them into a simple outdoor scene. They have worked hard for four years and now it is time to celebrate their achievement and look forward to the future.
Ok, be sure to head on over to the TGF blog to see the celebratory cards that my fellow Farmers have created using the Graduation set. I will be back tomorrow for the official blog hop and a chance for some lucky individual to win the entire March release! :)

You're crushing it...
Hello, hello!
We are back for day 2 of the Greeting Farm's March release! Next up we are introducing the strong and determined new Go For It Anya single which will be available for purchase on the 15th along with the other new stamp sets. For my card today I stamped Go For It Anya and colored her into her best Lululemon athletica wear. This girl is definitely working it while working out. She's a little ball of energy and to help convey how hard she has been exerting herself I added a few drops of glossy accents to her brow to look like sweat beading up. The stencil in the background adds more energy to the overall design and yellow is always a high energy color, which is just what I wanted. :)
Now get moving and head on over to the TGF blog where you will find plenty more Go For It Anya cards from my fellow Farmers. I will see you tomorrow for the final day of sneak peeks before the big release! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
