A Tween Journal

My Granddaughter's birthday is coming up and I wanted to give her something I'd made.  I decided since she's a tween she could use a journal to record her thoughts, pictures, doodles, etc etc etc.  So here's what I came up with.  All papers and stickers are from Me and My Big Ideas So Girly Collection.  I used my Cinch and bound the side with 12 rings and ran a ribbon from front to back through eyelets to tie.

Hoggy Birthday

Oh what fun is the Create a Critter! I just love Ms Piggy. Background paper is from the Sunshine Paper Pad by me & my Big Ideas. Little birthday hat is K & Co. The bottom sparkles are from the rub in set mentioned below. Hoggy Birthday printed on my computer, font Scrap Kids.
I used my Peachy Keen stamps for her face but didn't care for the way her snout turned out so I used the one the Cricut punched out and just kept trimming it until it fit, still didn't look right so I painted it with my Copics and added Glossy Accents over top.

Did this ribbon of candles on the bottom of the inside of the card, it's a rub on from Imaginisce call Cake Walk Rub ons.

Just Smile

This is my June Swap card for the Crafty Card Creators Yahoo Group. You were to use the word 'smile' somewhere on the card.  Stamps are colored with Copic markers.
These darling faces are from my new Peachy Keen Stamps. Aren't they adorable? I was so delighted when I ran across a blog that had used them, I'm so horrid at drawing faces and these stamps open up a whole new avenue for me. As well as the faces the flowers and pot are also Peachy Keen, there Happy Flowers and Cheerful Phrases collection.
The hummingbird was an added bonus after I bulked him up with some Glossy Accents. It's actually just a single sheet of paper from the me & my Big ideas 10th Anniversary collection. Ribbon is American Crafts, little flower pop ups are K & Co.

Peace - Pop Up Card

This card is entered in the following challenges:
Lucy's Cards: Challenge 6 - Inspiration.  - My inspiration for this card was created by Mary Jo, you can view it here.
SCS Friday Free 4 All -

I saw this video at Splitcoast Stampers for a Free Standing Pop Up Card and had to try it. I must admit mine was more freestanding the first couple of times I popped it up, but I kept playing, adding a little ,popping up, popping down, well you get the picture so it's not as straight and sturdy as the one my friend and I made together yesterday, of course it was hers and I was showing her how to do it so she took it home, lol. But this will give you a good idea of what you can do, easily, with this card. The first picture above shows it almost fully closed.
When you pull the tag up by the curled ribbon it begins to 'pop' out of the base and appear.
Fully extracted this is the end result a darling card that has popped out and stands freely. Cool huh?
The chipboard pieces are from Me and My Big Ideas, the beautiful flower shown here is from Petaloo, called Mulberry Street
The chipboard bird is from Maya Road, covered in the same cardstock (which was from Costco) and a bead added for the eye.  This is an extremely fun card to make, very simple, the hardest part is trying to decide which paper to have out, which to have in and how you want to decorate it.

Just 4 You

Isn't this little bird just the cutest! I found him on Lost in Paper Scraps Blog site, he's called Bird Flower and is a free digital download. (wonder why I think it's a he? must be the expression, like I'm trying to get myself out of trouble????)
The Just 4 You chipboard are from a 3Birds set I've had for eons that I bought from HSN. Glossy Accents applied to flower petals and his beak.
The top two papers are from Me and My Big Ideas 10th Anniversary value pad. The bottom stripes is from a wallpaper book. Circle cut outs are an EK Success border punch.
