Friendship

Isn't she just the cutest little girl?  I took her from the Uptown Girls Digital collection from Cottage Arts.  She comes black and white when printed and I used my Copic markers to color her in.  The little chipboard heart is one I've been moving around for quite some time now.  I used Candy Apple Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels and love the effect it produced.
The background mat is from Prima's Pulse Collection.

It's Only Numbers

Great digital masculine card.  I printed the watch twice and popped one above the other and covered with Glossy Accents to give it more distinctive look.  All supplies from Cottage Arts.

I Can't Imagine

Flutter By Wednesday has a challenge #98 right now to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card. I thought this would be perfect.

I've also entered this in the Raise the Bar Challenge where you were to use NO Stamping except for the sentiment.  Well I made it with no stamping, lol since this is a rub on.

This butterfly is a from the digital kit called Butterfly Wings 3 and is sold at Cottage Arts All I did was enlarge it to fit the front of my card. Then I took Glossy Accents and colored the body and stuck the hemp string into it to create the antenna, I also put a few dots of Accents down each dot on the wings to bring them more to life.
The sentiment reads I Can't Imagine ... & on the inside  ...in all the world a better friend than you. This is a rub on from My Sentiments Exactly.
The card base front was embossed with my Cuttlebug and the dot folder.

Blessings Swap Card

Made for the Word Swap at Crafty Card Creators Yahoo Group. You were to use the word Blessing. The dotted paper is from a new paper pak from Ancestry.com (it was a gift from my Secret Santa :-) I used one of my new Fancy Folders corner Cuttlebug embossing folders to make the embellishment next to the greeting. It was embossed, colored with my Marvy Markers and then the outer edges were covered with Glossy Accents. Florish on sentiment is from the digital kit Butterfly Wings 3 Element Pak from Cottage Arts

Elf Town Christmas Cards

Beth Ervin has created a kit being offered at Cottage Arts called Elf Town. What fun whimsical elves are in it! As soon as I saw it it screamed Cards, Cards, Cards. Here's the first 3 I've made with it.

Moon Lottery

I joined Art Haven Creations Yahoo Group. One of the things they do is have a card lottery each month. A theme is picked, this month it was Moon, and each person who wishes makes a card using that theme. The winner recieves all entries that were posted. Cool huh?

I used a new digital kit for this card from Cottage Arts called Return of October Element Pak and Paper Pak. These were designed by the very talented Julie Mead.

I printed the image for the front then selected it (using PS CS3) and contracted the selection by 99 and duplicated to a new layer, repeating until I had six layers, they were adhered, one on top of the other, with foam pop ups. Inside I took two background papers and blended them together, added the smoke image from the elements pak, reduced the opacity and added the quotes.

Love how it turned out, hope the winner likes it as well!

Girl Talk

Love the fun stuff in the Garden Surprise Kits at Cottage Arts. I made this one and then started looking at some Beth Ervin has made that are posted in the Card Gallery and I think I'm going to make a whole set of these, the colors are so bright and sunny, just make you happy looking at them.

Guess What!

I needed a Get Well card so started hunting in my digital supplies. I settled on a couple of kits from Cottage Arts, Garden Surprise Elements - I took the Bird 35, printed and cut him out and then drew the legs and tail back on.
I also used the Daisy Dreams Pak - I just loved the Magnifying Glass so I printed it on the Paper Daisies with the text underneath and then reprinted it again on white card stock.
I cut the middle out and replaced it with a circle of transparent film --
For the inside I used the Paper Dots and colored the dashes with a pink glitter pen from American Crafts. I inked all the edges with Color Box, added a ribbon l bought from Michaels, and used the glittery flowers and brad from 3 Birds for embellishment. The font is Pea Kate downloaded free from Fonts for Peas.

Pleated Valentine

I saw this idea on a Webinar for Paper Wishes showing how to make a card using Coin Envelopes and a Manila file folder. It really didn't seem that hard so I tried it and this is the outcome. I printed papers from Cottage Arts
Hearts of Love Page Pak - and In My Pocket Page Pak w/Alpha.

These were a great start but needed something to jazz it up a little so from the local craft store I bought some Valentine Rub On's and added them, some glitter, ribbons a brad etc to complete the look. I really am happy with how it turned out and need to churn out at least one more like this to get into Monday's mail.
