Hoopoe, Polgigga, March 2014

Again I haven't posted for ages and thats mainly due to me not actually taking many images over the past few months. I never got around to posting these images of the Hoopoe at Polgigga back in March.
Having just pulled into the large lay-by just out of Polgigga we were surprised to see the Hoopoe picking in the short grass right next to the car. We had pulled in to check for any news of the bird and didn't realise for ages that it was right next to us. It spent a while happily feeding until more people turned up and was eventually pushed off into an adjacent field.
I spent the last week of May in the Cairngorms National Park so will post a few images from then in the next few days.

Doubt ill upload images tonight as I've just finished editing and yet to resize them.

As you can see the lighting was a little dodgy!!!!
