This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite: Pastels or Brights (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Pastels are my favourite colours, and in particular pinks, blues and purples. I think they're easier on the eye and pretty.  I've used lots of pinks on today's card, even for the little koala critter for a bit of fun.

I love the soft look of pastels and feel they lend a more vintage look to my journals.

I have chosen pastel colours for this card. I think pastels can give an elegance to a card with their subtle hues.

I love the look of both pastel and bright colours, but when I make a card it is almost always in bright colours. I love how bright the colours look and how much they pop.

I like to make brighter colours for young people, especially against a white background, as it makes them stand out.

I LOVE a bit of colour and like to make sure my cards stand out on the mantelpiece. I think this one might just do that!!

I love bright colours. They make me happy.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Die (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I've recently had a bit of a rummage through my craft stash and reaquainted myself with some of my older dies. I really love this daisy border die which creates such an effective frame around an image, adding a lot of interest and texture while still keeping it fairly flat for postage!

My favorite die right now is one I received as a Christmas surprise.  I not only love it because it was such a very sweet gift, it is very versatile and I no longer have to cut my own "seed packets" for junk journals.  The set includes so many other useful dies.

I have so many dies I love. This heart die is one I use often for a CAS card. It is elegant and suits a DL size card perfectly. I also love die sentiments.

For many years I have been a big fan of the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL dies by Crealies. These are all kinds of basic shapes, and some of the dies have a lovely decorative edge. I use them very often on my cards, so for today’s challenge I made a card using these dies.

I do use many dies, but I really like my postage collage die.  It can be used as it is or cut up to create any style you wish.

Like Annette, I used this theme to have a look at my stash and make use of a die that hasn't seen daylight for a while. This one's been used a few times and makes a lovely feature on a fairly simple layout.

I love letter dies and these are my new favorite. I like the type! They have the perfect height and width and are so versatile.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Ribbon or Twine (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Ribbon is one of my favourite embellishments, and I have boxes of it in dozens of colours and shades.  My favourite is satin, but today I've used a gingham one which tones better with my card colours. I love the 3D effect on a card which makes it look more handcrafted when it's gifted.

I tend to use twine more that ribbon.  I like that it is easy to tie into a cute bow and it fits a little easier in an envelope for posting.

I don't use ribbon or twine very often. I do like a little bit of ribbon when grouping a few flowers together. I think it is useful to add a small tag to complete the card.

I can't pick, because I really love the combination of ribbon with a little bow made out of twine. I love adding it on tags or on little treat boxes, like I made today.

I use twine a lot more than ribbon.  I can make smaller bows with it and it's not so bulky as ribbon.

Ever mindful of the cost of postage these days, I am more likely to add twine to my cards. It adds just a little touch of texture and dimension without the bulk.

My favorite is twine. I do have enough ribbon but seldom use it, because my bow doesn't look right and neat or am I too picky? With twine my bows looks like I like it.

It's over to you.
