The Cuttlebug Spot ~BLOG HOP~ Challenge 40

Happy Monday everyone~ I am so excited to be back to normal... sort of! Well, at least having some supplies unpacked and the time to get back on track with our fun challenges at The Cuttlebug Spot! This week we're showcasing past techniques per each design team members choice in a BLOG HOP! I am excited to see what everyone chose and know I'll be inspired.

This week I chose to make a Pop Up Card using the tutorial at Slipcoast Stampers. I am an avid fan of these babies... I love how they present themselves when they're done.

All of my supplies are from the Basic Grey Lime Rickey collection. I think this set is so darn cute. I embossed the stem for my flower with Cuttlebug Border: With Love and the edge is Border: Frills.

Have fun with the Blog Hop.

Hop on over to Marcy's blog to view her project, and she will direct you to the next link. Click HERE!
This week's winner will receive an adorable set of clear stamps from our sponsor, katzdesignz.

A Great Weekend on the Lake

Today we spent the day in Hope, Idaho on Lake Pend O'rielle on a house boat with my aunt and her man Bob. My Liam is in LOVE with Bob! Nobody really matters when he is around and when he is not around all we hear is "where is Bob?" It's super cute. We had a great day. I made a few cards while the boys swam and we all chatted. Thought I'd share a card and some pics of our day...

This is my favorite... Safety first!!!! Swim trunks last :) When we said it was time to swim Liam stripped down and made sure his life vest was "securely fastened", LOL. Too cute.

Cuttlebug Spot ~ Challenge 8 & 9

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot we all made pop up cards with a little embossing for the 9th challenge. I love these. They are so fun to look at when you're done. You can find a tutorial at Splitcoaststampers. I am sure once you try it you'll be hooked. Be sure to stop by The Cuttlebug Spot and leave us a comment with a link to your creation. We'd love to see what you come up with!

Cuttlebug embossing folders used: Borders: Frills
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo with Brown Staz On ink
Paper: Bazzil cardstock and Me And My Big Ideas
Flowers and leaves are Primas with rhinestone brad.

Last week, Challenge 8 was to alter something using anything cuttlebug. I chose to alter a paint can for the holidays. I'm not sure if this is finished yet. I plan to add a cut from the Cricut Christmas Solutions cartridge (Santa with reindeer flying over the town.) I will have to post a final results after I toy with it a bit more. Christmas Ornaments folder was inked with Versamark pad, then heat embossed with Blue Tinsel powder. Winter House was also inked with Versamark pad, then heat embossed with Kaleidoscope powder. The town is colored using prismacolor pencils and blended gently with odorless paint thinner. Snowy bottom was flocked in white, then applied a layer of white pigment ink over top and clear embossing powder. The snowy texture is the result. This was totally an accident but I love how it looks now (thankfully)! Thanks for looking!

Cuttlebug embossing folders used: A2: Winter House and Christmas Ornaments.
