Wrapping up with Spike and Scotch 👋

On day seventeen, they were hanging out in my mermaid stocking on my craft room door. Maybe they were trying to meet some mermaids in there?

On day eighteen, they decided they wanted to come with me on my trip to Pennsylvania with Cori, so they hopped in my luggage.

On day nineteen, they enjoyed see the lights.

They were a little cold, so they borrowed my mittens.

And then they had a little swing in the hanging basket.

On day twenty, they found another reindeer to ride with.

They relaxed in a red wagon after the ride.

Then decided to climb a tree just for fun.

On day twenty one, they were wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Then they joined Cori and I watching The Santa Clause, but they hogged the popcorn!

On day twenty two, they wanted to be a two headed gingerbread man before we left to go home.
And Nathan didn't even miss them while they were gone! 😢

On day twenty three, hide and seek was the game they were playing.

Found them!

On day twenty four, they tried to help DH and I wrap presents. Unfortunately, they didn't do a very good job and we had to do it on our own. So much for being a wrapping elf.

On day twenty five, they wished Jesus a Happy Birthday.

And finally, on day twenty six, they almost went out with the wrapping paper!

So who know if they'll be back next year, it's a lot of work keeping up with them!

Another Week with Spike and Scotch

I was down with that darn flu about a week, with a few extra days of still needing to take it easy and nap. DH and Gman2 also ended up getting it, but thankfully Nathan didn't! He's the only one who had a flu shot so I guess it worked!

On day nine, they still weren't feeling well and decided to hide out with the meds.

On day ten, they moved over to the tissue box because it was more comfortable.

On day eleven, they got into the good stuff and finally started to feel better!

On day twelve, they ventured outside for some fresh air and a ride with a reindeer.

On day thirteen, they found my stash of Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Nutcrackers to share with the real Nutcrackers.

On day fourteen, they went outside again, this time to chill with the snowmen.

On day fifteen, they got into Gman1's gift from work - just their size! Scotch was a little disappointed his namesake wasn't there.

On day sixteen, it was 67° (19°C), and absolutely beautiful! So they decided to relax outside and enjoy the weather. I think they needed a day of rest after their shenanigans.

Even though it was nice today, I'm ready for it to be cold again since it is December and Christmas is so close!

The Return of Spike and Scotch 🐶

Well, Spike and Scotch have decided to join us for another year. Sadly, Nathan doesn't seem to be very interested this year. I think they came back just for me!

On day one, they brought Nathan an advent calendar, and one for Chewie too!

On day two, they tried the dog treats and while Scotch liked it, Spike was thankful for a chocolate snowman.

On day three, they met some new gnome friends.

On day four, they decided to visit their old friends before they went on display.

On day five, they waited for Ming and Maximus to snuggle with them, but had to find them on their own.

On day six, Spike tried to play Santa and got stuck.

On day seven, they hung out with Santa to try and get some tips.

On day eight, they caught the flu that's going through the house. Gman1 and C were visiting Oma and Opa this past weekend and had to cut their trip short because Gman1 wasn't feeling well. He got tested for everything and it came back positive for flu. Thankfully, neither Oma or Opa got it. But, C and I did, ugh, this one is nasty!

Hopefully we'll feel better tomorrow, at least it's before the holidays!

Spike and Scotch, the month flew by! 🌠

This is a little late and a bit of a jumble, but here are the rest of Spike and Scotch's days with us.

On day eight, Spike was so happy to see his girl Dolly again, and Spike was having fun with Charlie.

On day nine, they found the Star Wars gummies and decided to enjoy them. And hey, Baby Yoda was eating a frog!

On day ten, they chilled with Gman1's Mandalorian legos.

On day eleven, they wandered to the basement and chatted with Nathan's Star Wars creations.

On day twelve, they got into the sock advent box and pulled all the socks out to pick their favourites.

On day thirteen, they pulled out Nathan's annuals to have a day of reading.

On day fourteen, they shared some of the socks with their friends.

On day fifteen, they went back upstairs to Gman1's room to see Bobba Fett.

On day sixteen, it finally snowed! Sadly, it also rained later so the snow was a bit crunchy and slick. But they had their shovels ready to help out if needed.

On day seventeen, they wanted to play outside even though it was icy.

On day eighteen, they had enough of the cold and were already thinking about the beach.

On day nineteen, they gave Nathan a mini Baby Yoda, complete with bowl and frog!

On day twenty, they pulled out the red fabric to make Nathan a new mask for school.

On day twenty one, they found Nathan's Jurassic Park Legos, big mistake!

On day twenty two, they got away from the dinosaur and found the right Legos!

On day twenty three, they thought Nathan needed a Bobba Fett face mask and now all the boys want one!

On day twenty four, they joined the gnomes and "grew" beards!

And on Christmas Day, Gman1 gave me this Baby Yoda which they thought they could get a ride with. Um, he's living in my craft room so he won't be going anywhere!

Who knows what next December will bring, Nathan certainly wasn't as interested this year. I think Spike and Scotch hung around for me this Christmas! Maybe I should teach them to stitch for me, that should keep them busy.

Oh, why do they have to grow up so fast?!
Nathan that is, not Spike.
