Hi there! I'm the blogger behind SeeitORreadit. I'm a Canadian high school student. I love reading YA and teen books. I also love shopping (for books and more!)

The Interview

1.-In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
*sigh* I want to say something super interesting but I'm a bit of a stick in the mud! I really don't get much spare time after school...but I LOVE shopping and going to the movies with my friends!!!

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
SeeitORreadit is the place to be with daily reviews and giveaways to meet your daily book needs! (I'm not a big Twitter user LOL)

3. A Plant. A Movie. A Candy.
Plant- A rose!!! When I was younger I adored Beauty and the Beast!

Movie- hmmm I dunno I've seen a lot of good ones. It's do hard to choose! How about this: which movie can you not wait to see? The Hunger Games!!!!

Candy-SKITTLES!!! Can't get enough of those rockin' colours. I've been known to have some crazy mood swings so I let the different colours represent the different moods I'm in.

4.-What's the Upcoming Release you are most exited about?
Honestly I'm looking forward to a bunch especially Pandemonium. I really enjoyed Delirium so I can't wait to read the sequel. Highly recommended!

5.-Best Part Of Blogging?
I would have to say the comments! I love receiving comments on my reviews and visiting other book blogs. I think creating my own book review blog is the best thing I've ever done (I'm only in grade 9 so I haven't done a lot yet but still!). I think the blogging community is really nice and I've made so many new friends.

6.-If you could invent a Holiday Book Related, what would you call it and what would we do?
Okay as a highly uncreative person this is gonna be complicated!!! How about ReadNShare Day! On this holiday everyone gets a day off from work and school to read! In celebration of this holiday everyone shares books with one another like Christmas! Also the day before there are major sales at book stores and everyone visits the library!!! A celebration of all us awesome readers :)

7.- and now a detailed description of your blog ;)
SeeitORreadit is a blog I originally planned to make with my bff. We were both super excited to get started but before we could we both ended up moving. Now remember we are only in high school (grade 9) so we didn't have much of a choice. So over the summer I figured I would try to make my own blog and after two months of trial and error I created SeeitORreadit.

SeeitORreadit is still a fairly new blog but I have a lot of reviews and exciting stuff up. I review teen books that I buy, receive for review, and borrow from the library. I also host giveaways, cover of the weeks, polls, and feature books and authors.

The Interview

1. In Between Writing and Reading What do you like to do?
Another passion of mine, besides reading, is drawing. I'm always trying to get better and improve my skills. My older sister is an amazing artist, and I hope to be just like her! I also love action movies, and constantly bruise myself when I try to recreate them in real life. I'm a pretty active person and am currently taking dance classes that kick my butt on a regular basis, but I enjoy them... when I'm not out of breath.

2. Convince me to join your Blog Twitter Style. 140 Characters or Less. GO!
Hey! Do you like reading? Are you a fan of Young Adult books? Or just books in general? No? Well, come by Understanding Shae’s Story anyway! (140 characters on the dot. Pretty good, huh? This doesn't count lol)

3. A Color. A Fruit. A Candy.
Light Blue. Strawberry. Anything with chocolate!

4. Lets say Hypothetically that you are abducted by Aliens. And they are generous enough to let you take your favorite book. Just One book. Which book would you take?
Well... I don't think they're THAT generous if they're abducting me in the first place. Unless of course, they're taking me to an island and forcing me to live with Taylor Lautner for the rest of my life :) And hmm... probably, The Host by Stephenie Meyer because it's an awesome book, and I love irony.

5. V-day is coming soon. Biggest Book Crush?
All the brothers from the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward.

6. Upcoming Release you are most exited about?
The Golden Lily (Bloodlines #2) by Richelle Mead! Love her!

7. A detailed description of your Blog :)
Understanding Shae's Story is a completely fiction book blog. It centers mostly around YA, but I'll read anything that sounds good. It's still a relatively new blog, but I'll be hosting author interviews and giveaways soon! Come on by, and I'll give you a virtual hug! Okay, maybe not. But I'm friendly... just don't pet me :)

Hello, my name is Sarah. But online I am known as Bunny or Book Bunny.
I’ve loved reading for as long as I can remember. I didn’t start off reading book after book, it was a gradual thing. And my reading habit started with the Uglies Series by Scott Westerfeld back around the time that they were released. I loved those books (and still do) and I have been reading everyday ever since. My list of books to read has grown, as well as my love of books. So stick around, check out some of my posts, to find out what I’m all about.

The Interview

1. In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
I love my family so I love to do family oriented things, (For example Boat Rides, Swimming, Movies exc.) but in between Writing and Reading by myself, I very much enjoy photography. There is just something about taking a picture and being able to keep the memory. (corny, I know.) I love Sign Language, it is a passion of mine and I plan to continue with it and hope to someday be fluent. I love anime, and tv in general, although my book obsession has taken the lead over the past few years.

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
Books of all kinds, all the time. So seriously, You, Me Let's Tweet! #Nerd

3. A Pastry. A Cookie. A Chocolate.
Croissant. Coconut Macaroon. Anything White Chocolate

4. If [Hypothetically] you where abducted by Aliens to do some research and they'd ask for a good book recommendation, what would you recommend :)?
Hmmm...kind of a hard question. So many good books, naturally I would say the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld, but I would also probably say the Hunger Games series because I have been recommending it a lot lately. (not that there are many people left who have not read the Hunger Games) Both good series, if anyone hasn't read either of them yet, and is a fan of dystopian, I recommend them. If not...I recommend them anyway. =]

5. Upcoming release you are most exited about?
I am most definitely excited about the Uglies Graphic Novel! As I said in the previous question, when I mentioned the Uglies series. I am super excited for this due to the fact that is in a different characters perspective. (and I just found out that my best friend pre-ordered it for me for Christmas so I am even more excited) Another book would be Someone Else's Life by Katie Dale, or Glimmer by Phoebe Kitanidis and more. There are quite a few interesting novels coming out this year. At least by the synopsis' that I have read.

6. Reading Goals for this 2012?
My goals for my blog this year is to post 50 posts, read 25 books (I am starting college & I am a slow reader) and to read 10,000 pages. I'm pretty sure that I can do it. I'm determined.

7. and now a detailed description of your blog :)
An Adult & YA book blog, I read & then review the book, I participate in (monthly) weekly meme's, and write and talk about all things bookish. I plan to do giveaway's in the future but after I get more established as a blogger. I started my blog the end of this past year when I accidentally came across a book blog. Wow! Was I missing out, I wish I had started a blog years ago, and so here I am! Now blogging and sharing my love of books with people all over the place. As I said, I'm new and I plan to keep on reading and keep on reviewing so be sure to check out my links. Don't be shy just say hi! ;] I don't bite.

The Interview

1.-In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?

I love spending time with my family and going to my son's baseball games but I also go to many book signings. It's so much fun meeting and talking to the authors. You get lots of insight into their books and sometimes extras. It helps you get a clear vision of their world and characters. I've actually had lunch with Simone Elkeles and it was such a dream come true. She is so awesome and down to earth. I had the best time.

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
Look for the next great read and the best giveaways? Then there's no better place to be in the blog-o-sphere than A Book-Lovers Review.com!
(this is harder than it sounds.lol=)

3.- A Season. A Day. A Month
Fall is my favorite season. I love to see the different colored leafs and the temp is just right. It's a good time to read a book outside.

I say Friday is my favorite day of the week. It's the beginning of the weekend *shrugs* what else needs to be said=)

October is my favorite month because of Halloween. There is just something about dressing up and being someone else for the night that I have always loved.

If you are wondering, I'm the one in the middle in red with the Afro.

4.-Lets say Hypothetically that you are abducted by Aliens. And they are generous enough to let you take your favorite book. Just One book. Which book would you take?
Well I have so many to choose from and I do have a lot of eBooks but I'm going to assume there is no way to charge my iPad so I have to go with a paperback copy of something. Let's see. Right now I would say

5.- Upcoming Release you are most exited about :) and best book of 2011 :) [there's no need to answer the last question if the answer to number 4 is a book from 2011]
Jeezz there are so many. Here is a small list:
TBA (Fullriders #1) by Simone Elkeles
The Girl I Used To Be by Meranda Kenneally
Noah (5ht Steet #1)by Elizabeth Reyes
Black Heart by Holly Black
City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare
Lover Reborn by J.R. Ward
I'm missing so many but these are all I can come up with right now.

6.- Now the Holiday Question: if you could create a Book Related Holiday, what would you call it and what would we do?
We have a Drop Everything and Read Day at the elementary school I work at. We have tons of literacy activities with the kids and it's so much fun. It would be cool to make it an official holiday.

7.- and now a detailed description of your Blog :)
I started my blog in 2009 for a school project not intending to expand my followers beyond family and friends. They ALWAYS saw me with a book and would often ask me about it. I got a little tired of always repeating myself so I told them I was going to start a blog and they could sign up for email notifications. But, as time went on I started getting more and more followers I decided that this was truly a great place to share my love of book by not only posting reviews but sharing some great signed books and posting interviews with authors. The Genres I support on my blog and post reviews for are as follows:

Any YA: Fiction, Romance, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Science Fiction, Romantic Suspense, Steampunk and Dystopian.

Any Adult: Fiction, Romance, Erotica, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Science Fiction, Romantic Suspense, Steampunk and Dystopian.

I have been known to dabble in other genres (classics, legal thrillers, memoir)but for the most part I read and review (mostly) YA.

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me better. I look forward to seeing you around the blog-o-sphere.

Book Briefs

I am a 2L at Florida State Law School. I spend most of my time reading and studying law. In law school I have to write case briefs for all the cases I read. Here, I get to write book briefs. A much better (and more fun) use of my time.

The Interview :D!

1.-In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
I love to hang out with my two Dachshunds, Harry and Ron, and when I am away at school I like to play trivia and hang out with my best friend and sister.

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
YA book reviews, blog tours, and giveaways- oh my! Plus some ramblings from yours truly. What is not to love?

3.- A TV Show. A Movie. A Song.
Storage wars. Inception. Say anything by Kate Voegele

4.-What question would you like to be asked in an interview?
ooh good question!!

Q. What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?
A. I LOVE quotes! I used to keep word documents full of my favorite quotes and whenever I would come across a new quote that I liked I would add it. I also used to follow quote "blogs" (although they were more like tumblr) and I would spend A LOT of time just scrolling through and reading quotes.

5.- If a certain someone came out from under a rock and asked you for the Best Book Recommendation you could give, what would you recommend?
Oh man, It is a toss up between The Hunger Games and Harry Potter. I think I will have to go with Harry Potter. (how long have they been under this rock??)

6.- Now the Holiday Question: if you could create a Book Related Holiday, what would you call it and what would we do?
National Share a Story Day. I would have people either donate books or go to their local library and give book recommendations to kids that didn't think reading was for them (or kids/teens that just wanted some new books to read)

7.- and now a detailed description of your Blog :)
My blog is called Book Briefs, named after the case briefs I make for my law school classes. I review (mostly) YA books, and host as many giveaways as I can. I love to meet new book lovers so come on by and say hi. I always try to respond to comments and follow back if you leave a link. :)

Books Are Vital
Well she's this blog author. She's 19 going on 50. No, really; she's the kind of girl that when she finally gets a day off she likes to stay at home and read for pleasure, sometimes she even knits and she has even...
listened to Celine Dion a few times while doing all this.

But now, Melannie is older and wiser and has stopped putting herself through dangerous situations.
NOT REALLY. She actually decided to apply for med school and got in. She's about to start her third year there and has never been happier. When naive strangers have the nerve to ask Melannie how is it possible that she has time to read FOR PLEASURE while also being in Med School, she always answers with the same sentence: BOOKS ARE VITAL. You can't go on everyday without them, so you better find time for them. So if you ever happen to see her in person, don't be scared of the huge purpuish bags under her
blod-shot eyes, she probably comes from an all-night date...
with her 1000-something pages med books.
The Interview :D!

1.-In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
What I do is study. A lot. However, what I would like to do is watch movies all the time. I love movies as much as books. Wait, or maybe shopping!
or book/movie shopping!, OH HEAVEN.

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO! *uses the force* You will join my blog because you agree about books being vital to someone's health. And you like fun reviews with pics!

3.- A Color. A Candy. A Car.
Blue, Twizzlers, smart for two.

4.-You are in Med School, you run a book blog, and your policy is Books Are Vital. You still have a life right?
Life? what is that?
I'm not going to lie, I don't go out much, I have to study a lot to keep up with my classes, and when I have time, I'm usually tired and the only thing I want is to read in bed or take a nap. There's also the thing that a lot of my friends are from med school too, so they're in the same position. But it's not so bad, it will have its rewards. I hope. Let's be possitive.

5.- If you could prescribe one book for the whole world, which one would it be?
For a healthy state of mind and illness-free body I would advice you to read...
I don't know, whatever you feel like reading. Don't be ashamed if you like romance novels, magazines or Don Quixote. Books Are Vital, remember?. ;)

6.- Now the Holiday Question: if you could create a Book Related Holiday, what would you call it and what would we do?
Mmm, this is a difficult one. Let's call it "Huntatonofbooks" and we will all have to buy books and then one person will hide them in our backyards then everyone else will have to look for them and read them that same day, whoever completes the task gets a free blizzard from Dairy Queen.

[In Between Note: Sign Me Up O.O]

7.- and now a detailed description of your Blog :)
My blog likes to wear gifs and other fun stuff, although it is never fully dressed, if you know what I mean. My blog only allows me to publish reviews for YA books because it cannot stomach something else. It also likes pictures, so I post a lot of them.

Thanks For Being part of Blogger Lift Melannie! :)
PS for Mel: I'm sorry! D: [hehe, she gets it]

Paper Cuts

The Interview :D!

1.-In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
Well I'm a full time student, so I don't have much free time! Yet, when I manage to slip a few moments of free time in, I like to hang out with my friends and play around on my laptop! Or talk to my brother! I spend a lot of time doing that!

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
You want fun books to read? A teenagers perspective on the latest and greatest books all here in one little amazingly amazing pile!

3. A Song. A Series.
Song: American Girl by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
Series: Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
A movie: The Hunger Games ;) Does that count??
Truthfully: Mulan :)

4.-The Upcoming Release You are most exited about
Definitly City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare...
Wait scratch that. Anything by Cassandra Clare, her books get under my skin with those cliff hangers! [Agreed!!!]

5.-How did you came up with the title of you Blog?
I was in Language Arts with my co-blogger when we started brainstorming ideas. I came up with Anne and Sam's blog, or D&G blog, and Anne countered with Pages, (Something that actually had to do with books!) I really wanted Glowing Ponies, but that didn't happen! We eventually settled on Paper Cuts, which was Anne's idea!

6.- Best Book of 2011?
DIVERGENT~ By Veronica Roth!

7.-and The Holiday Question! if you could create a new Holiday what would you name it and what would we do :)?
The Hanukkah Horror! It would be about you only have the eight day's of Hanukkah to save someone's life and when the candles ran out what would happen!
Muhaha! I'm Jewish and it took me about 5 seconds to think of that.. Now I'm gonna go write that! :)

8.- and now a detailed description of your blog ;)
Paper Cut's is a review blog for Young Adult Fiction books. Anne and I love all kinds of books and have an intense passion for books, when together all we talk about is books! You can just read our reviews and hopefully my annoying chatter will brighten your day! Since my reviews are a little lengthy! :) And you can see Anne's bluntness/ to the pointness, that we all love!!

Thanks for allowing me to do this! Sorry if its a little long! If you read it all I will love you forever!!! :) >

Thanks For Being part of Blogger Lift! :)

Random and Booky.

Meet The Blogger:

I'm 14 years-old. I know Hindi, Urdu, English, and can read Arabic. I am learning Spanish. I am an Ahmadi Muslim. I love to read, listen to music and hanging out with friends.

The Interview :D!

1.-In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
Would it be wrong if I said reading? Because reading is basically my life. Other than that, I'm always listening to music. I love to text my bffl Cora, watch movies, go on goodreads and buy books. Though that's a rarity because my mom tells me to just go to the library. I love talking, I talk a lot, mainly it's rambling and no one listens. Lol.

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
Need a blog that's booky but random and fun. Random and Booky is where you need to be.

3. A Candy. A Pastry. A Restaurant.
Snickers. Chocolate Cake. Chili's.

4.-The 2012 Release you are most exited about?
The Hunger Games movie!!!!!!!!!!! Big fan! Love the trailers. Need to see it! It seems EPIC! ^^

5.- Tell us something Random :P
When I'm bored I search random things online. For instance: Did you know Suzanne Collins lives in CT. ((like me!)) =P

6.- Your favorite book of 2011?
Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan and The Lost Stories by John Flanagan. I can't pick between the three. =)

7.-and now the Holiday Question: if you could create a new Holiday that was Book Related, what would you call it and what would we do?
Bookarade! First off we get the day off. We'd all dress up as our favorite book characters and have floats for every awesome book! ^^

8.- and now a detailed description of your blog ;)
Random and Booky is a place where I like to review books and sometimes movies. I post my current favorite songs. I created 3 memes and I just started another one that's is kind of like a blogger lift. ((You started a trend Jude. lol)) It's random because sometimes I'll post random things on it. I like to show as much of my personality on my blog as possible, because in a way it's an extension of me. This is my motto about like I post at the end of most of my posts: Dream Live Discover. Mainly because that's what life is all about! Yeah that's basically it! =D

Thanks For Being part of Blogger Lift! :)

The Reader's Antidote.

Meet The Blogger:
My name is Nicole Mainardi. I am a college student with an English major, and an avid reader, mostly of young adult paranormal novels. I'm living in the Los Angeles area, though I've lived in Arizona, Michigan, and San Diego. I play soccer, but that's about the only exercise I can stand. The first book website I belonged to was Goodreads where you can find many more of my book reviews. Since then I've become a member of netGalley and Librarything. I am currently finished with a very rough draft of my first novel of 103,000 words, which is a YA paranormal romance.

The Interview :D!

1. In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do :)?
Well, I go to college full-time (not something I really like to do, but have to), spend time with my boyfriend, and play soccer when ever I can. But most of my time is monopolized by reading and writing, so there's very little I can fill the time with.

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
The sad thing is that I actually opened up Twitter and typed in the box :D Here it goes:  [In Between note: Lol xD]

Young adult book blog where I read and review YA novels, dish out swoon-worthy book news, recap author events, and feature author interviews

...140 exactly.

3. A Fruit. A Hobby. A Car.

Fruit: Driscoll's raspberries, specifically. No other brand does it for me. I'm very particular with my raspberries.

Hobby: Would it be repetitive if I said writing? Writing really is my hobby though. And so is reading. Something's not right here...

Car: The car I currently own is a Saturn Ion, which used to be my mom's. I would LOVE an Volvo XC60, but I'll likely get the Volvo C30 which is equally as awesome.

4. A book to-be release in 2012 that you are Super Exited about.
I'm sorry, you're expecting just one? One ain't gonna happen. But I'll compromise and give you two: Insurgent (Divergent #2) by Veronica Roth and City of Lost Souls (Mortal Instruments #5) by Cassandra Clare.

5. The best past of Blogging so far?
The people are amazing! The blogosphere is so nurturing and caring and they really want you to do well. Also, getting to know authors in the interviews I hold has been a blast, and the fact that people actually care and comment on things that come from the dark depths of my demented mind is so humbling.

6. THE book you are most thankful of getting in your hands and reading?

Another unfair question! There's so many! I'll compromise again and give you three, because I really can't answer this question without all of these: Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone, Twilight, and City of Bones. Harry Potter got me back into reading, Twilight made me realize I wanted to write in the YA paranormal romance genre, and City of Bones inspires me to write on a daily basis. You see why I couldn't choose? These books have basically shaped who I am as a writer/reader.

7. and the Holiday Question: if you could invent a Holiday Book-Related, what would you name it and what would we do?

I would call it Awesome Day, but that doesn't really tell you what it is. I think I would call it Lit for Kids Day instead. It sounds kind of lame, but basically I think schools all over the United States (the WORLD if we could make it happen) should give their children the whole day off to read a book of their choice (which the parents would record for the school), and then have the child donate that book to some organization so that a child that has no books can read. I don't know, it's in the works people.

8. and now a detailed description of your blog ;)
Oooh details! *cracks fingers* Here we go:

My book blog is a place where I'd like to think readers and fellow bloggers can go to get their reading fix (hence the name). I give honest reviews of only YA novels, and most are paranormal romances. I host giveaways as often as I can with my budget and participate in weekly memes and reading challenges. I also go to as many author events near me as I can, and always give recaps of these signings for my readers. I started my own meme called Building My Bookshelf, which you can find on the tabs below the header. I will be updating people on the blog with my journey towards being a YA author. I have an author interviews page, which has been one of the funnest parts of blogging because not only does it give you a reason to talk to your favorite authors, but it also gives your readers extra insight into the books and authors they love as well. I just try to make it fun, not only for my readers and followers, but for myself as well.

Thanks For Being part of Blogger Lift Nicole! and sorry for the unfair questions x)

Literary Exploration

Meet The Blogger:
Hi, I'm Anna and I'm addicted to reading :) It started back in third grade when I first read Harry Potter and became a freak about reading. I think I read the first two books in a week, which for a third grader is fast! I started this blog back in March, 2011 so I could keep up with my reviews, but mostly to follow other book bloggers! I'm officially as addicted to blogging as I am to reading and I'm loving all the great people I'm meeting :) Someday I hope to be an English teacher, but we'll see when that happens. I'm happy to talk about anything and everything book related!

The Interview :D!

1.-In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do :)?
I love sitting down and having TV marathons with friends. We'll watch an entire season of a show over the course of a couple days! I also really enjoy going to book signings in the area and meeting my favorite authors; I try to get to as many as I can when I'm not busy with work and school. Otherwise I'm pretty easy, I like to go out to eat, go to movies, just hang out and chill. A lot of my life revolves around reading, since I'm an English major, so I honestly don't do much else.

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
It's a YA blog that features reviews, interviews, giveaways, and all kinds of fun stuff! I post everyday so there's always something new!

3. A Plant. A Movie. A Candy.
Aloe Vera. The Last Unicorn. Peach Rings. [In Between Note: The Last Unicorn? aww, that's such a classic!]

4.-What's the Upcoming Release you are most exited about?
Oh gosh, that's a hard one! Seriously, I'm excited for almost every book coming out in 2012, but the closest one to now would be Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare in December. I am so freakin excited to read the next installment!! Have you read Clockwork Angel yet?! If you haven't I suggest you go out and buy it RIGHT NOW!!

5.-Best Part Of Blogging?
The people I've met! I've made so many awesome friends since I started blogging, and met a lot of authors who are really great! Blogging has also opened my mind up to reading books I normally wouldn't even consider, which is so awesome!

6.-Now the Holiday Question: if you could invent a Holiday Book Related, what would you call it and what would we do?
Ohhhh hmmm... probably Read and Eat Day. I love to eat... and I love to read.. soo I feel like this makes sense. It would be like a sort of readathon/Thanksgiving combo holiday. We would invite all our friends over and cook lots of yummy food and sit around and eat and read and trade books. Can we work on making this an official holiday?  [In Between Note: I Totally Support This Idea]

7.- and now a detailed description of your blog ;)
Again, it's a YA book blog where I participate in weekly memes, reading challenges (as of 2012!!!), host giveaways, write reviews, and just discuss my love for YA books! I'm 21, so I don't have a lot of friends who read YA anymore, so my blog is my personal discussion board! I'm working on getting some author interviews and guest posts set up, but I'm still pretty new to everything so LOOK OUT FOR MORE AWESOME!!

I LOVED your answers Anna! Thanks for being part of Blogger Lift :D!

I go by Jess, I'm 20, I like to read and write.

Lets know more about this Blogger :)

1. In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
A. I tend to watch a lot of TV, and when I'm not doing that, I'm in classes (not really something I enjoy doing, but I have to for a few more months).

2. Convince me to join your blog twitter style.  140 Characters or less. GO!
A. I read then I review, I participate in fun memes, giveaways are in the works, and I'll eventually get super exciting! Come check it out!

3. A Pet. A Holiday. A TV Show.
A. Guinea Pig. Christmas. Desperate Housewives.

4. If you could invent a holiday that was book related, what would you call it and what would we do on the special day?
A. I'd call it: Bookworm Bash & it would always fall on a Friday during one of the Spring semesters of school.  We'd all get off school/work to read for an entire day, whether it be alone, or in groups (like having a bookish party with friends for discussions, readings, etc). TVs would be turned off, & Internet would be limited for the day. :) (Now I'm thinking I might implement this myself and take a day off work next semester sometime to read for the whole day).

5. I'm guessing you like to read books at midnight? ^^
A. Yes! I usually start reading around 11 or 12 at night and continue until 1 or 2 AM, sometimes later.  Reading puts me to sleep, so I like to read every night before bed.  Sometimes I'll read in the afternoon, but with my classes and homework to do, I hardly have time to read during the day.

6. If you were Bookworm-Clause and you could deliver one book to all the world, what book would you give?
A. I would give everyone "I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You" by Ally Carter (author of the Heist Society series).  It's the first book in her Gallagher Girls series and is one of my favorites.  I've never seen much hype about this series, but since her release of Heist Society and Uncommon Criminals, I see less people that know this series exist.  I am anxiously awaiting the 5th book, and have read books 1-4 twice through (at least).

7. And now you get to give us a detailed description of your blog ;)
A. My detailed description isn't much longer than the Twitter one (I've never actually come up with a blog description).  I read books, almost strictly YA, then I review them.  The blog started out as a way to keep track of books I have read, and my thoughts on them.  Now I'm working on a couple future giveaways (probably in January), and networking with fellow bloggers.  I'm still fairly new to this blogging thing, but I've made a few great blogging friends through Twitter networking, and I have a great "Big Sis" in blogging who's helping me with anything I have questions on.  I participate in a few weekly memes because they're fun, but I don't keep myself on a schedule with them, it's more whenever I feel like posting them is when they go up.  I hope to make the blog better in design, and content, as I grow as a blogger, and I hope that all my readers will stick around to watch the blog grow. :)

Thanks so much for this interview, it was tons of fun!

Thank you so much for being part of Blogger Lift Jess! :))

I am an avid reader! I love to read and write. I love music and movies. I love to go to the art museum :)

Lets know more about this Blogger:

1.- In Between Writing and Reading What do you like to do? I love to go to the local Art Museum and park. I enjoy walking around the art museum and seeing all the new paintings and displays they place every week. My dream is to one day go to New York and visit The MOMA. I live an hour away from Boston and I go to their museum a lot.

2.- Convince me to join your blog Twitter Style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
My blog has a lot of different things to it and I am currently updating it. I have contests and descriptions of indie authors and books. I love to support the under dog. I read all sorts of genre in YA books and do reviews. Reading is the window to the soul. Everytime you read a book you are getting a vacation to another time, place, and people :)

3.- A Fruit. A Vegetable. A Game.
Cherries.Corn.Monopoly.Cherry Coke

4.- Which are your Book Addictions?
YA books!

5.- and from an expert, what book should we all be addicted to?
I have two series right now by the same author Shelly Crane, Collide and Significance series.
Collide quote: "It's ok, Merrick. I get it. I'm sorry, I just...I just can't handle it when people are upset with me and I can't fix it somehow. I'll stay out of your way, ok."
As I hopped down from the counter and turned to leave he grabbed my wrist and my skin immediately began to tingle.
"You're so blind," he breathed shaking his head."
― Shelly CraneCollide
Significance quote: "You don't love people for what they can give you. You don't love them because of what they do for you or how good you make them look. Love is blind, love does not boast, love is not vain."
― Shelly CraneSignificance

6.- Your Favorite Quote
"I could have kissed you months ago, but it wouldn't have meant anything. I wished for you to see me. And want me. So.did you mean it?"
"Yes," I said, and some unnamed tension inside me eased. "I see you, Tod."
― Rachel VincentIf I Die

7.- the reasons you Love to Blog ;)
I have to say I have had my blog a few years and never started it. Then I started writing reviews for Jess on her blog sheknownasjess.blogspot.com and I saw why she loved her blog and I wanted to spread the word of good books and give advice on different books. I also like to write poetry and short stories so I have decided I am going to showcase more of that on my blog. I have met so many wonderful people blogging that we exchange books and share contests and support one another.

The Fairytale Nerd

The Fairytale NerdBlog: The Fairytale Nerd
Blogger: JoAnne
Tags: Review. Reads. Books. Fairytales. Nerds

I'm JoAnne.

Reading
YOUNG ADULT BOOKS
is my obsession!
I love Persian food. I am addicted to Okinawa Milk Tea. I am not sporty, but I do yoga. I can't dance. I can't sing, but I love the band Snow Patrol. I can listen to them all day to the detriment of my boyfriend's ears. I can survive without television. Believe me, I can. I'd much rather read.

Lets know more about this Cute Blog:

1.- In Between Writing and Reading what do you like to do?
Studying for the bar exam? I'll be taking it next year. But then again, you asked what I "like" to do. I definitely do not like studying, so my answer would be yoga. And probably eating. I watch The Vampire Diaries (hating Stefan right now by the way), The Secret Circle, and Revenge. I used to paint, but I don't have the time for it. I'd rather use that time to read.

2.- Convince me to join your blog Twitter Style. 140 Characters or less. GO!
The Fairytale Nerd. Where the sweetest and hottest nerdy fantasies come to life. Haha!

3.- A Fairytale. A Prince. A Disney Movie.
Thumbelina. Prince Ash. Lion King.
[In Between Note: Thumbelina: awwwww a classic!]

4.- if you could meet any author who would it be and why?
Julie Kagawa. I love her books so much! I adore Meghan and Ash and Puck and Grim. I'd also like to meet Victor Hugo. I'd tell him that there was a time in my life when I was obsessed with his book Les Miserables, and couldn't stop singing "On My Own."

5.- Why the title 'The Fairytale Nerd'
Reality sucks. And books let me live another life, one that would always have a happy ending. A fairytale ending. That, and I consider myself a nerd. I always have a book (school or non school) with me.

6.- And if a nerd where to ask you for a good book recommendation what would you recommend?
Hmmm... My answer would depend on the nerd's purpose. For school purposes, I would recommend A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I'd like to call it a classic paranormal. Plus, it has a good message for the reader. For leisure, I'd suggest The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa. For a more mature audience, I would suggest The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan.

7.- Something exiting going on in your Blog right now :D
I'm having an event on my blog right now. It's called 31 Days of Fairy. Fae books will be given away. There are interviews and guests for the whole month of October! :D

From October 1st to 31st, we will be celebrating all things fae!

Most (not all) of the book recaps and weekly memes will be about fae books. I have also invited authors of fae (or similar) books to do author interviews and guest posts! And of course, a celebration involves contests and giveaways! eBooks! Swag! Paperbacks!

Go to The Fairytale Nerd to know more!
