24/7 Daylight Crash Course #2: Go to Bed, Goddammit!

When the sun shines at night it's hard to leave the sofa and brush those teeth. Almost impossible.

Last night I stayed up. And up. And up. Which is not so handy when my baby wakes up at 5 am. (on the other hand - I'm not the one who gets up since I work outside the home these days, lol!)

Creativity and energy rise when there is so much light. You just go on and on. Then you feel burned out - an American woman living here once said to me.

What you should do is find your bed in a reasonable time. I try to convince my daughters the same thing, but we tend to stay awake all of us no matter what.

It's like our bodies working against  us: The mind wants to sleep. The body refuses.

Have a great weekend!

24/7 Daylight Crash Course #1: Love The Sun

Maybe because we don't have it for months. Or because we have it for months at a time: We let the sun in uncensored.

We have blinds in the bedrooms. But in the livingroom and kitchen faced towards west? Nope.

Do we have dinner and the sun shines in our faces ( we should get sunglasses), and we go through everyone's day like there's no elephant in the room? Yes.

The grown ups disagree on this matter: I want some kind of shading. He thinks that when you don't have sun for months, you should't keep it outside when it finally arrives. What can I do.

So 24/7 daylight Crash Course Lesson 1: Love the sun. And get blinds.

Yesterday we sang together against the terrorist who took our children.
