Sinopse  

Ilya Muromets é o grande herói nacional russo, celebrado em canções épicas tradicionais. Mas este personagem tem muitos pontos em comum com outros heróis de toda a Eurásia, como o grego Hércules, o irlandês Cuchulainn ou o indiano Arjuna. 

O objetivo deste ensaio é comparar quinze heróis que podem, a priori, parecer todos diferentes, mas que no final são muito semelhantes. Quais são essas semelhanças e por que isso acontece?.

Filho da Tempestade convida-nos a descobrir mitologias até então pouco conhecidas do grande público, da Irlanda à Coreia, passando pelo Irão e pela Ásia Central.
