Yay, pun in my title :D

As a horror fan, Friday the 13th was an awesome day and super cool night :D My lovely girlfriend, Tina and I went to the cinema to see Scream 4 on this devilish night with super goth make-up and fake blood dripping down our chins. It was great seeing people's reactions, I can't wait for the Adelaide Zombie Walk!

So anywho, I painted my nails for this event too. I will say before I share the photo that any fan of horror- wait, any fan of 90's movies go see Scream 4! It had the excellent element of the 90's tongue in cheek and cheese and had today's super gory styled killings too. It was really fun to watch, I totally recommend it. Now.. on to the point of this blog.. the nails!

The are really simply but all the posters for the film were so I thought I'd go with that... I splashed in a bit of red just so it wasn't too boring.
What I used: Sally Hansen in Black Out, nail art striper in white and a generic red that I got in a make-up pack.

Thanks for looking :D Have a great day!

I watched Spirited Away a few days ago and as always cooed and awed when the soot sprites appeared. They're so darn adorable! It's not the best photo for colour representation but the sun has been cheeky these last few days so please forgive me.

What I used: Mode Cosmetics in VIP, Mode Cosmetics in Pearl, Models Prefer in Minty Fresh, Models Prefer in Pink Tart, Sportsgirl in Lace, Eyeko Pastel Polish (blue), nail art stripers in white and pale yellow, Beautiful Nails BO14 (black)

I'm okay with how they turned out, I'm pretty sure I'll be trying Soot Sprites again so I think I'll try another technique with making them look fluffy.

Anywho, thanks for looking! Have an awesome day :)

Tonight I did some nails for my friend, Tina. She wanted acrylics but had no idea what kind of nail art she wanted to top it off with. So, I of course suggested The Mighty Boosh themed nails for her :) I'm pleased how they came out, they're really cute/rad.

What I used: Beautiful nails in Black, Hawley Nail Art in White.

Very simple but I love them. Thanks for looking!
Also, 47 followers for my blog!! Thanks guys! I should do a giveaway at 50! I'll have to think of what I can use as 'prizes'

My boyfriend, David, took me to the Tim Burton Exhibition as a surprise and of course it was incredibly inspiring. I mean, seeing all his artwork was amazing. The shapes he creates in his drawings and sculptures are intriguing and sometimes disturbing. Still buzzing from the inspiration days later I tried to use the famous Burton swirl in my design...it changed from where I thought I was going with it but I still love it nonetheless and got a lot of compliments! :)

Here's a better photo, you can see the details;

What I used: Sportsgirl Nail It in Strike A Posie, Ultra3 in Wild Berry, Inglot in 540 (the sparkle black/grey), Hawley Nail Art Pen and simple rhinestones.

I'm only just starting to use rhinestones and whatnot on myself (got some from ebay) and I'm loving it-- I want more!
Thanks for looking!

It's been a little while but I've been busy! School is coming to an end and I've had David over to visit so finding the time to post has been difficult. I have however been taking photos of my manis so I have a back log to share.

The next one I'm sharing started off as a Tim Burton styled black and white stripes, we know he loves them! Then a day or so later I added the bows just to give it a little something extra.

What I used: Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Platinum and Hawley Manicure Nail Art Pen/Brush in black. For the bows I used a white acrylic paint as a base. Then used Orly in Fairy Godmother and L.A. Colors Nail Deco in another red (can't remember the name!) for the outline. Topped with Out The Door!

One last thing, I've had a few disasters with my nails recently, they've kept breaking constantly and one even split down the middle, very painfully. Yesterday I put some acrylics on to keep them strong for now and make sure my nail grows back correctly. Anyways, in a few posts time you'll see a drastic change in my nails so this is why, and also a warning! lol

Yep, got bored of the pandas. I've been trying to figure out how to do a set of Star Wars nails for a while and I came up with this. Much like a knuckle tattoo, its the title of the Saga and Vader and Luke's light sabers :) I didn't think I'd pull this one off, "writing" with my left hand but I think it looks pretty good!

Here's a close up of the thumbs/light sabers.

What I used! Rimmel London 60 Seconds in Black Out. CoverGirl in White Night. I mixed Ultra3's Honolulu and Rimmel London's Sunshine for the yellow. NYC in Snazzle, some nameless red lol and Chi Chi in Jitterbug.

So, what you think?

Hello there, I'm back! I've been visiting my lovely boyfriend in Melbourne this past week so I haven't been doing anything too fancy with my nails. I did buy some polishes though! Two from Sportsgirl and another from Inglot. The poor bugger walked around with me in David Jones/Myer/Inglot scoping out polishes. I do love him so.

Anyway, so from Inglot I got myself their matte black which is freaking awesome! I want it in every colour or at least a top coat that will turn polish matte. That would be amazing. Black is a harsh colour and with my pale/pink coloring it tends to make my fingers look extra pink so I decided the best way to compliment my new polish would be with a little touch from Konad!

What I used: One-Two coats of Inglot's Matte Black 730. I used the Konad plate M19 for the "feature nail" and layered it, and M57 for the rest with NYC Color in Snazzle.

I really like this manicure however I'm not sure how long it will last since I can't use a top coat. We'll see!
