Miniature Peddler's Cart - Christmas Treats - VIDEO TUTORIAL

For those of you into miniatures, how about a peddler’s cart filled with tasty holiday treats. I decorated the cart with gingerbread chipboard trim, a wreath, holly leaf images, gingerbread images, hanging lights, candy canes, and two tin soldiers.

Many of the cookies are made from polymer clay and cookie-cutter cabochons which I’ll cover in the video tutorial. 

There are chocolates (decorated with slices of polymer clay canes) and lollypops made from beads.  

I used various pre-made candy canes, cakes, and gingerbread house beads.  The large wrapped trees are paper images, and the wrapped gingerbread men are buttons (from my stash) decorated with slices of a polymer clay cane.

I jazzed up the sides with candy canes and gingerbread images, and on the side with the pull, I hung candy canes.

This piece will make a great addition to my Streets of Paris shops when I decorate them for Christmas.

You might recognize the Peddler’s Cart kit as it is the same one I used for the Streets of Paris Artist cart.

CAFE du CHAT NOIR - The Black Cat Cafe - Streets of Paris Event

The Café du Chat Noir is now open and offers the finest in dining experiences.  

After a day of shopping, stop by the café, sit down, rest your feet, and enjoy all the restaurant has to offer.  

You’ll find a sandwich board with the daily specials on the corner.

Take a peek in the window to see the fine imported cheeses, wine, and premium seafood dishes.

This restaurant is a place where black cats are always welcome.  If you look closely, one of the regulars is sitting on a barstool.

The café houses an extensive wine selection.

You can choose an umbrella-covered table outside and enjoy the beautiful weather or step inside for more elegant dining.

Enjoy a tray of cheeses, sausage, crackers, and bread with a side of grapes and cherries.

Perhaps you would enjoy spaghetti and meatballs with a baguette and red wine.   

The café offers a selection of hand-tossed salads and sandwiches for more casual dining.

If you are after sweets, try the tea tray with delectables from the Chocolatier or an ice cream sundae.

Order a designer cocktail from the resident mixologist.

MINIATURE CHOCOLATES, PASTRIES, TARTS, CAKES and CANDY - Streets of Paris Event

The Streets of Paris project event continues with miniature sweets.  I've spent a good deal of time looking at pictures of Paris chocolate and pastry shops to inspire the sweets I've created.

I have three video tutorials for you, not one, not two, covering chocolates, pastries, tarts, cakes, and more.  Each video is jam-packed with examples, demonstrations, tools, tips & tricks.   

In the Chocolate tutorial, I’ll demonstrate how to make chocolates from beads and polymer clay, plus cover lovely ways to display the chocolates.  What's more, I'll use easy-to-cut clay canes to jazz up the chocolates.

I’ll introduce you to helpful tools such as an extruder and pushrod clay cutters.  I’ll even show you to make a pushrod cutter out of a straw and a wooden dowel.

In the Pastry & Tarts video, I’ll show you how to make all kinds of sweet treats out of polymer clay.  I’ll use silicone molds and metal clay cutters to make the process easier.

I'll show you an easy way to add glaze to your creations. 

I’ll demonstrate an easy way to make clay roses & fruit plus techniques for making clay look like baked dough.

I’ll cover all kinds of cakes in the Cake video, from simple to elegant.  I’ll show you how to make molds of frequently used components, which is a time saver. 

I’ll showcase pre-made resin treats that you can intermix with polymer clay treats.

I’ll cover techniques such as making bows, cross-cutting cake designs, creating realistic cake texture, and making nuts.

In short, there are almost 2 hours of video cram packed with all kinds of demonstrations and ideas.
