MINIATURE PURSES, SHOES, PERFUME BOTTLES, COSMETIC & JEWELRY - Streets of Paris Event

The Streets of Paris project event continues with fashion accessories.  In this video tutorial, I’ll cover transforming cheesy miniature purses and shoes into something that looks elegant and expensive.  For even more purse options I've created a NEW Mini Purses collage sheet and digital image set of purses and complimentary embellishments.

I’ll show you how I made perfume bottles from beads and I’ll also cover premade bottle options.  You won’t believe how easy it is to make powder boxes and compacts.  And lastly, I’ll cover making all kinds of jewelry and the methods I used to display them.

You'll be seeing all of these accessories again (plus hats and dresses) when I cover constructing the Maison de la Mode (The House of Fashion).
PURSES
Mixed Set of Doll Purses
The hidden beauty of the plastic purses is the detail embossed on the plastic.  By using paint and dimensional embellishments to accents the details, it’s easy to transform the purses into something that looks elegant and expensive.
Using my new Mini Purse Collage Sheet or Corresponding Digital Image Set you can make 3D paper & fabric purses.
SHOES
Mixed Set of Doll Shoes
Using the same method I used for the purses, I transformed plastic shoes into fashionable footwear.

PERFUME BOTTLES

By combining beads and metal bits, it’s easy to make all kinds of lovely perfume bottles.  I've used my Mini Perfume Bottle Collage Sheet to add labels to many of the bottles.

For those less adventurous, pre-made bottles are an option.

JEWELRY

I’ve used rhinestones, various chains, jump rings and head pins to create rings, bracelets, and necklaces.

To display some of the jewelry, I've made display boxes out of polymer clay.

COSMETICS
I thought a fun thing to add to the fashion shop would be some cosmetics and to that end, I’ve created a NEW Mini Cosmetic Labels collage sheet.

I’ve used the sheet for the lids of the powder boxes and compacts.

NEW COLLAGE SHEETS & IMAGE SET

This sheet contains 21 unique vintage powder box labels and compacts with two or more different sized versions of each.  Also, there are four vintage cosmetic themed posters.

This sheet contains ten easy to fold and assemble purses along with images like beaded appliques and jeweled bits that can be used as accents.  The purses come in three unique patterns.  The pattern is printed lightly on the purse in a coordinating color to make it easy to score and fold.
This image set contains all of the easy to fold and assemble purses, beaded appliques and jeweled bits found on the Mini Purses collage sheet plus four additional purses.  The purses come in three unique patterns.  Use dimensional or the included paper embellishments as accents.  The pattern is printed lightly on the purse in a coordinating color to make it easy to score and fold.  Also included are three unique patterns that can be printed and glued onto decorative paper or thin fabric to make even more purses.

BOUTIQUE EXQUISITE with VIDEO TUTORIAL and NEW COLLAGE SHEETS and DIGITAL IMAGE SET

Have you ever wanted to own a sweet little shabby chic boutique filled will lovely goodies?  Now you can!  In my boutique, I’ve created all kinds of furniture, from a chipboard kit, matchboxes, a plant stand, glass & paper, hat boxes, dollhouse furniture, and a folding screen.  I’ve filled the pieces with hats made from bottle caps, perfume bottles, purses, jewelry, and other bits and bobs.
I’ve also created a simple structure using a few pieces of foam core board and two pieces of basal wood to showcase the boutique.  Paper images and beautiful lace add architecture to the shop.
What’s more, I have made a video tutorial showing you how to create all of the pieces and the shop structure.  With a project like this, it is easy to pick and choose what you want to tackle.  You could just make a piece or two or create your own shop.
I think my favorite piece is the glass cabinet.  It's made using an image from the Boutique Exquisite collage sheet, a piece of chipboard in the back, glass slides, and box feet that serve as brackets.  You won’t believe how simple it is to make and what a wow factor it gives your shop.  I put many of the prettiest things on the glass shelves; the mantle clock, jardinière, and the mask.
By using a box top, fabric and box feet you can construct an ottoman.  A chipboard tray filled with goodies and a bottle cap hat completes the piece.
By using laser-cut tags, some chipboard, and hinges, you can create a beautiful folding screen.
I can never get enough of matchbox chests.  I used two different-sized mini matchboxes to make the two chests below.
The paper mache round boxes, coupled with candlestick holders, make great tables.
The cabinet below is made from a chipboard kit, making it easy to assemble and fun to decorate.
The piece below is an unfinished dollhouse counter which I stained with Distress Stain.  And check out the cute little cash register!  The mirror stand is made from a hand mirror and a piece of filigree.
This lovely plant stand makes a perfect place to display hats, purses, and perfume.
All the 3D hats in the boutique are from bottle caps.

NEW COLLAGE SHEETS
To go along with the project, I have six new collage sheets and 1 new digital image set.
This sheet contains elegant furniture and architecture to adorn your boutique or shop of any theme.
This sheet is loaded will all sorts of beautiful hats, gloves and purses.

This sheet includes 29 pairs of vintage shoes.

MINIATURE PERFUME LABELS
This sheet contains lovely labels in three different sizes to adorn small and mini perfume bottles or to use in a decoupage project.

This sheet contains 15 dress-form tops with various colors and patterns.  You’ll find a free-stand image that you can use to go with the dress forms at the bottom of this post.

These drawer fronts fit the smallest Diamond brand matchbox, measuring 1 3/8” x 7/16” x 2/16”.
These drawer fronts fit the narrow matchboxes carried by Alpha Stamps that measure 2 1/4” x 15/16” x 5/16”.

This digital kit includes all of the images on the collage sheet and some unique to the kit.  There are 29 images in total.  In addition to the images on the collage sheet, there is another cabinet and couch with drapes.  There is another sign, final, and knob, and two sizes of the three unique knobs.

VIDEO TUTORIAL
Below are detailed pictures of each of the pieces.  At the end of the post are the free images available for your personal use.
