Some more Sunday MOrning blocks and the center block for a Free Form quilt swap I'll be participating in. Six other quilters to add to this block and after about 8 months I will have a quilt top back.

Lots of sewing today and a little stamping. I made several blocks for the "Sunday Morning Quilts" swap, a block for my Sew Blue Bee swap and stamped some cards for October.

I finished up a few blocks for a swap. I also just finished 2 commissioned rag quilts but forgot to take pictures :( They were made for someone at work so hopefully I'll be able to get a pic of both of them.

My oldest daughter just opened an Etsy shop. You can check it out at MotherLovesMe. She only has a few items in her shop now but I know she will be adding more. All her proceeds will go to pay for my granddaughter's music lessons. Way to go heidi!

I finished a couple projects for myself today. One of the projects, a quilted wall hanging using fabric inchies, was modeled after Bird Bits made by Annie on Flickr. I fell in love with the quilt she submitted for the Little Sew, Vote, Quilt swap. My wall hanging doesn't even come close to comparing to hers. This was my first attempt at raw edge applique and I can see I need to read up on it. I also used some hexagons and made myself a wall hanging that I call "hexie love". It is so cheerful on the wall in my sewing room.

I usually don't post cards I receive from others on my blog but this one is just too FABULOUS not to share. My swap pal, Joy, sent this too me. I just hope my picture does it justice! I also made a card to send out to my pal this week CASEd after one that someone posted on a blog that they saw posted to another blog that was a picture from the SU convention. I didn't have the stamps I needed but I had the punch and I made do. I love how it turned out and am thinking about using the idea for my stamp club project next week.

I've been doing a little sewing the past few days now that I've recouperated from moving my sewing/stamp room. After "living" in there for a week it just felt too cramped so I changed things around a little and now I feel like I have a ton of space and can be creative.

I just tested a paper pieced block for Kristy at Quiet Play

. It was fun testing and was fairly easy to do. I also finished and mailed my 2nd card to my swap partner.

Little Quilts

I belong to a Flickr group call Little Quilt, Sew, Vote, Swap group. We make doll size quilts and they are posted within the group and voted upon at the end of the round. We all make our choices but don't know which quilt we will receive until it arrives in the mail. I made 2 this swap round and now that the voting is complete and mine are in the mail on their way to a new home, I can post pictures here.

Finally got settled

and both my husband and I are feeling the pains from moving all this stuff! Even though I have a separate sewing and stamp area, the rooms are smaller than the one room I moved from. It will take some getting used to.

I just finished another sewing project for a swap. I am in a stamping swap this month so you'll be seeing more cards posted while I fit that into my love of sewing. I will also be posting some pictures of my new sewikng/crafting area. We had some water damage in my old stamp room and needed to move all the cabinets, etc so we could let the carpet dry out.
