She's engaged.....we'll be having a summer wedding.

What a great year long project....

Check out this link. It a "skill builder" block of the month club and it's FREE!!! I'm so excited since it will teach me how to quilt as you go and have a finished quit at the end without the hassle of trying to fit a huge quilt into the machine to quilt.

Looking forward to the new year

We had a wonderful holiday celebration and now looking forward to the birth of the next grandchild. I have been sewing but much of it has been pattern testing for a quilt a long in 2013 so I can't reveal the pictures. It's the time of year I stamp calendars so I will be posting those pics soon.

My doll size quilt for the swap is finished

and I wish it was staying here. Maybe I will make one for myself. I have fallen in love with this one. My partner wants something bright and I think this fits the bill, front and back.

Here's my house for the House Block Party.

It's a cottage by the lake.

Picture heavy post!

I finished 99% of my Christmas sewing with just a few more small projects that need to be completed. My kids are all getting pillows with the exception of one of them. I also made a Christmas mug run for my swap partner and her son. I had so much fun using selvages to make the treee. Hope she likes it!

Quiet Book

Here is my granddaughter's Christmas gift... I still have one more quiet book to make for my youngest granddaughter.  So much fun!!!!

What a lovely Thanksgiving!

This is the first year in about 30 that we haven't BBQ'd a turkey. My son and daughter-in-law had Thanksgiving dinner at their house this year. It was wonderful to have almost all my kids together...just missing one that spent time with their in-laws. I finished up a couple sewing projects and stamped a lot of cards. My daughter wanted 50 cards to take back to Texas with her for Christmas. Since I had the stamps out I stamped another 40 cards for myself. I finished up a crocheted rag rug and a Quiet Book (will post pics soon). Lots accomplished and still more sewing to go for Christmas. Once I finish all my Christmas gifts (I'm making pillows for everyone this year), I'll post of pic of those too.

My Stash Bee November blocks.....I needed to make 2 self portraits, one of me and one of my dog. Definitely NOT the easiest thing I've ever made with fabric. It was quite a challenge. Here we are, Jan and Anya.
