My latest project...

FOR SALE...Did you see my earlier post (December 27th) how I stacked my ribbon on a dowel using a wire shelf? Well, that got me thinking and here is what I came up with. I've only made 6 and am keeping 3 for myself but will have some more in a few days. The ribbon towers with the faces are $12 each and the ones with the colored tops are $10. The face/ball lifts on the top to add more ribbon spools. The ribbon towers will hold approximately 30 spools of ribbon depending on the thickness of the spool AND the best part is that you can store all that ribbon in a space of 6". I'm willing to ship them for the actual shipping cost but I would need to ship the base and dowel unattached. If you're interested, email me at StampQn@Gmail.com I have the following tops left - yellow (1), purple (3), red (4), and faces (3).

It isn't the New Year yet but I am beginning to get organized

I was at Joann's this morning and spent some of my gift card $$. I bought a thread rack to get all my spools organized. Then I started cleaning up on my craft table and decided to organize my buttons in some jars I've been carrying in my car truck for almost a year! Those are all sorted and on the shelf which mean the ribbon had to come down. I used a wire rack and some dowels to make myself 3 ribbon towers for all the spools I have. It works great! The spools spin on the dowel so I can just pull off what I need and cut it to size.

Some Christmas pics

My calendars arrived from Impress, so the calendars are finished and ready to mail. We had a fun time decorating our tree with our granddaughter and spending Christmas morning with the family.

...back to knitting

I finished my granddaughter's quilt along with some pillow cases, pillows, dust ruffle and a doll quilt. (The quilt colors are bright and sparkly but the light for picture taking isn't quite right :()It is in a box and ready to be wrapped. I can't wait to see her excitement Christmas morning as her room turns into a room fit for a princess. I also finished a few calendars for gifts but am waiting for my calendars to arrive. The only place I could find them was at Impress but they ship quickly so I'll be able to finish the calendars just in time to tuck in to some Christmas gifts. Now it's back to knitting. There is nothing like a nice warm yarn project on your lap when it's cold.

My "black Friday" was spent at home sewing

I really don't like the Black Friday crowds so I spent the day working on my Granddaughter's castle quilt. The top is pieced and the next step is getting it all pinned together and ready to quilt. I also finished my sweater and my Granddaughter's. I'll post a picture of mine when I wear it to church tomorrow.

I love winter crafting

I've been busy sewing, knitting, crocheting and stamping. I made a few cards for a November swap, a birthday card, a mug rug for my swap partner, and made two sweaters for my granddaughter. The varigated sweater is crocheted and the purple one is knit. I also had an order for 4 mugs rugs and a crocheted afghan I just finished. I love my hobbies! especially when they can produce income!

I have had an AWESOME mail week

I have received some terrific mail this week from Flickr swaps I am in. I received a set of coffee mug coasters from Celine in the UK, house potholders from Jessica in Australia and a pumpkin mug rug through the ScrappyMugRug swap. My friend Barbara also brought me the cutest little guy made from an ear of corn and I have it set up on my kitchen island. It feels so "Fall" in my kitchen.

I've used almost 700 hexis in my projects

All those hexis that I had made have almost all been used. I made my Flickr partner a table runner and I made lots of potholders and mug rugs. I still have a bag of hexi flowers that will go into my quilt but it just got too warm working on it in the summer. That will be a great winter project.

I also mailed off my FriendsLinkedbyInk swap pal's second card, which is a cat theme.

I have been spending a lot of time working on some stitched swap projects. I did get a few Halloween "cards?" made and my FriendsLinkedByInk swap partner's first card made and mailed.

More swaps finished

...I haven't started on Halloween cards yet and I have several birthday cards and gifts to make in October. I just finished up all of the current swaps I have as of today but I know there is a table runner that is coming up soon. I made potholders for a secret partner that had to be in a house shape. I named the potholders "Lady of the House" and "Full House". I have been making good use of all those hexis I made. I also made the last birthday card I need for the Wendy Vecchi birthday club.
