Something else I made for myself...
I've been spoiling myself this week. I made a cover for my sewing machine and hope to make one for my embroidery machine too.

Ending 2010 projects and working on 2011
I promised by oldest son I would make him a really big and warm quilt. I used all the scraps I had left from the other quilts throughout the year and now he will have the quilt he wants. You can see my daughter's cat enjoying the quilt while I am trying to embroider on it.
I also made my first chubby book pages for a new project my small swap group is beginning this year. Our theme for the year is Friendship and January's specific theme to get us going is black/white.

Here is a pic of my husband's current project. I think the horse will get it's head and mane this weekend, then he will work on the rockers. We are going to a leather shop this afternoon to see about getting a saddle and reins made for it. This horsie still needs a name....suggestions welcome. I think this body section already weighs about 60 lbs. It is made from oak.

I finished up the signs for my kids and myself to use so I can document their AWESOME year as a gift of a Shutterfly digital scrapbook next Christmas. See my November 26th post about this project.

Case'd card
I saw a really easy Christmas card on another blog and made my own version. She said it was quick and it was very quick!
Check this out....
I noticed a doll quilt that someone in one of my Flickr groups made so I emailed her and asked if she made them to sell outside of the flickr group. Yep she did. So I ordered one and left it up to her creativity. This is AWESOME and I can't wait to actually get it on my wall. It's in the mail and one the way. If you're interested in contacting her just click on the picture.
Still playing with my new machine

I'll be sewing this weekend
I have 3 quilts finished and two more to make before Christmas. Rather than stand in line at Joann's to get the $1.29/yard flannel, I ordered it from them online but it just arrived. I will be cutting and sewing this weekend to get those quilts made. Here's a quiet book I made for my granddaughter using a kit a friend gave me. This kit had a lot more tiny pieces that the Halloween book I made last year but it went together quickly and I know she'll enjoy it.

Some new projects
I have been working on a few gifts for friends. I saw an idea on another blog using the owl punch and making a calendar and this is my modified version. I used a magnet on the inside of the calendar and a washer on the back of each month so they can be changed throughout the year. I made a few more Christmas cards, a birthday card for my son-in-law and a bigger button jar for my granddaughter.

I came down with a terrible cold and haven't been able to post pictures that have been sitting in my camera. I am finally feeling better and hope to get back to crafting. Here are a few projects that were recently finished. The crocheted afghan is the final product from the Bernat Mystery Crochet-A-Long.
