I'm working on my April "to-do" craft list. I finished some cards for a note card swap, my April "winged things" paper dolls and a card for the April CCC challenge which I can't post until after the recipient has received.

Such a productive crafting day!

After making Easter cards, I decided to crochet and made this sock monkey hat for my granddaughter using the instructions I found here. I love the world of blogging and the sharing. The hat is sitting on top my paper towel holder to take a pic so it looks a little pointy on top.

Here's a couple more Easter cards. I had fun figuring out how to make the pull up card and used a card that my friend Kelly sent me as a sample. I had a few inchies left over from a swap this month and they were the catalyst for the pink card.
I made one Easter card for my granddaughter. Today I am going to sit down and make cards for the kids. Not even sure what idea I'll use but it will come to me once I sit down and think about it. I also saw a crochet pattern on another blog for these little owlets. They were fun to make but I need to look for some different types of eyes before I make more.

I had someone ask me how I store my Copic markers...here is a picture of my markers and refill storage. The marker storage is from Studio 3 Solutions and the refill storage is from Oozak. The refill unit holds the refills and markers. It used to be reasonably priced at Oozak but the cost has skyrocketed. I do have one of the units and will sell for $50 (I think they are selling for $120 on Oozak now). The unit can stand either horizontal or vertical. Just email me is you're interested in it. (It's been SOLD)

One more coffee cup

...and this one is made the way the template shows. I didn't have the Just Rite coffee stamp set but had another coffee set that worked.

The winner of the blog candy from my Operation Write Home blog hop post is JenMarie.

Another template card

I found another digital template that I fell in love with at The Cutting Cafe...a coffee cup. I made a couple cards today using the template and they went together quickly. I also put some ink to a few new Stampin Up stamps.

Operation Write Home Spring Bloghop and CANDY

Welcome to my ArtFriendzy and Operation Write Home's blog hop. My card is made using a bird template from Paper Trey Ink. My card says "A Little Birdie Told Me".... (inside)"you're the best". Head on over to the beginning of the blog hop here. You won't want to miss any of the awesome Sring cards being sent to the soldiers.

I am the Mom of an Army soldier and I love making cards for Operation Write Home. These cards are given to military units overseas so soldiers have a selection of cards they can use to write home to their family and friends. Operation Write Home sends cards to hero contacts deployed abroad. They're a self-selected group; they've either signed up their unit to receive cards, or a loved one or supporter has done so on their behalf!

Typically a contact signs up on behalf of their unit, sharing the cards with those around them. Often the cards end up at a chapel, coffeehouse, or MWR (Morale, Wellness, and Rec center) where warriors gather for relaxation. Other times they're distributed in living quarters, or in any other circumstances they find themselves!

If you're interested in learning more about Operation Write Home, just click on the link.

Leave a comment and you'll be entered in a drawing for some blog candy. The little bird stamp shown here.

I made a "green" card today for a swap with a stamp set I found in the $1 bin at Michaels.

I received my first monthly card kit from Krazy Kreations in the mail yesterday and had a chance to make some cards last night. The kit contained a Hero Arts clear stamp set, papers and an idea sheet. I only used one idea from the sheet, then got out my box of leftovers and used the great papers in the kit to make several more cards and a spinner card for my friend Roc. I sure love having my little Singer sewing machine on the stamp table.

I found a new way to display my paper doll swaps

I saw on someone's blog where they made a magnetic note board using flat flashing from the roofing section of Lowe's. I was looking for a way to display paper dolls from a swap I'm in this year and decided to check out the flashing. The sheets are 8 x 12 and $1 each. I cover the flashing with paper using sticky strip then used my cropodile and punched holes in them, joined them with ribbon and hung three sheets on the wall. I probably should have used paper with more white in it since I was hanging it on a red wall...I guess I can still do that if I want to untie those ribbons? A great way to display my paper dolls. I think I will go back to Lowe's and get a couple more sheets and make some of the magnetic note boards too.

It's a month of green...

Here are some pics of cards I've made and the picture of the finished sweater. The sweater has a fold down neck finish which I didn't care for at all. If I make that pattern again, I will make a single layer ribbed binding.

A flock of birds

I made a small flock of birds last night using a template from Paper Trey Ink.
