#27 Navy
#508 Silver Moon
Ultrafine Transparent Glitter
#85 Crystal
Small Sticky Paper

My card today uses the "Pride" collection of papers from Authentique
The card is a pocket card that has openings for and a tag and anything else you might want to give. I made the card by first cutting a cat that when folded is 4 1/2 X 6 1/4
then I cut a second card the same size using an different pattern. I folded the front of the card in and the inside of the card back to form the pockets which the used adhesive to adhere to the card. I added the silver glittered stars to the front pocket.
The tag was done using the star stencil from Dreamweaver stencils and the double glitter technique . I used Ruby red for the stars and Navy for the flourishes and for the background I used Crystal glitter. Here is the finished project.
I hope everyone has a glittering and sparkling  4th of July!

Glitter Phone Case

Supply List:
Silicone phone case
Silicone adhesive
Art Glitter #85 Crystal Glitter
Art Glitter #319 Princess Glitter
Art Glitter #507 Black wing
Hard plastic scraper or squeegee for adhesive application
Stencil for the design- I created my own.

Begin by gathering your supplies.  I was able to purchase the Silicone adhesive at a local craft store.  The phone case was purchased online for about $2.

Use a scrapper to apply a very thin layer of silicone adhesive to the phone case.  While the adhesive is still wet cover with ART GLITTER CRYSTAL GLITTER.

Of course you could stop here, but I really wanted to add a simple design to the cover.  For those of you who follow my personal blog, you know that I have a Disney obsession and am planning a trip there later this month.  So, I decided to use a princess silhouette for my phone case.

Using a die cut machine I created this stencil of a princess.  If you are planning to make something similar be sure to keep the inside design as it will be used a little later.

Place the stencil on the phone case and use the scrapper to fill in the negative space with silicone adhesive.

Add ART GLITTER PRINCESS glitter to the case.

Allow to dry overnight before moving on.  When it is completely dry use a stiff paint brush to remove any excess glitter.

When the pink layer is dry, use the inside cut from the princess and a black marker to draw in the blackout areas.  Then use adhesive and black glitter to add dimension to the silhouette.  I also added more adhesive over the letters in my name to create a more bold look - leaving the pink in place as a shadow effect.

Thanks for stopping by to see my creations.

Calling All Cell Phones - For a Make Over

I always see those super cute sparkly cases for ipod, cell phones, e-readers, you name it, and I always want one, but I can never find it in the color I want, or the sparkle I want.

So I took matters into my own hands.

I recently got a new ipod (hand me down), and it came with a simple black rubber case on it.

I have been saving my Art Glitter Dazzlers Dance Floor for a special occasion. This was the perfect occasion.

Here is what the case started out looking like.

Here is the list of products used.

- Art Glitter D2 Dance Floor Funky Dazzlers
- Art Glitter Designer Dries Clear
- Ranger Inkssentials Glossy Accents
- paintbrush
- ipod case

I know that glitter and electronics may not be the best to mix together, so please be careful when doing any glitter and glue near electronics.

I first started by applying the Designer Dries Clear Adhesive to the back of my case. I started with an outline, and then ended up filling in the entire space I wanted to cover. I did use a thick coat, only because the funky dazzlers have some larger chunks of fun pieces like moons, slices, and circles, along with some fine glitter.

I then poured on the glitter. You can either shake off the excess or leave it until the case is dry.  If the glue is too thick it will run.

Once it was completely dry I took a dry paintbrush and brushed off excess glitter on the case that was not adhered to the Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.

I then took my Glossy Accents and covered the glitter and the rest of the case.

I let it dry overnight.

I flipped it over, and made a thin layer of adhesive around the front edge of the case. Sprinkle on glitter, let it dry, and added Glossy Accents again. (I used Glossy Accents to seal the glitter in with a super high gloss look)

When it was all dry, I popped in my ipod and have my own personal case!

You can use any color of glitter you want to use, and make it your own. The best thing about the color I chose is that it is SUPER holographic looking! Tons of colors bounce off of it from the light, and the shapes add a fun flair to it. You could also use some of the ultrafine opaque hologram colors, or microfine opaque. Even using and ultrafine opaque, or transparent colors would work too! The combinations are endless!

I hope you enjoyed this fun project that you could use to personalize almost anything you own.

Be sure to stop by my blog for more glittery fun!
