Sounds of the sea inspiration by Bettina

Good morning, Happy Tuesday!

Bettina here, and it is my turn to host the inspiration on  the Artbymiran Blog.

Today I'm sharing Sounds of the sea from the Whimsy stamps store

I decided to go with a summer themed card for my  inspiration this time. Sounds of the sea is coloured with my promarkers. I added a some lovely lace from Live and Love crafts and some DP from stash. Cheesecloth and sea shells added to get the sea feel.

Whimsy Stamps November 2014 Release Blog Hop - Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Whimsy Stamps ...
  November 2014 Release

I am thrilled to join Whimsy Stamps as a guest designer this week to help showcase their November release! Over the next 3 days, myself and the team will reveal 19 *BRAND NEW* red rubber stamps/stamp sets and 4 *BRAND NEW* coordinating die/die sets. They will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers on Wednesday.
Whimsy is thrilled to welcome Olivia Marmara, Lizzy Smith, Mi Ran and Crissy Armstrong as Guest Designers for this release. Today we are excited to show you the brand new Art by Mi Ran, Wee Stamps and Time For Tea Designs stamps being released this month. For a full reveal of these stamps, hop on over to the Whimsy blog!  For today's project, I inked up ..... Art by Mi Ran new stamp - All Tied Up. 

My wonderful mother-in-law is quilter. She really loves quilting. The image is very much for her and all the quilters but she is just like me lol I am really bad with sewing and measuring. lol

I colored her with my color pencils and I drew all the stitch lines with my 0.4mm fine liner pens.

I wanted to use a quilt pattern for the card but when I searched the patters OMG they look so hard to me lol so I made up my own. I cut the two kind of pattern papers 1.5 x 1.5 cm square than I cut them diagonal. I wanted to show them all the pieces individually, so I used the same color ink pad for the papers edge. I glued all the little pieces on the card stock.

   

Hard to see on the photo but I cut off little bit under the button, so try to make a button hole.

I always save leftover piece of card stock and pattern paper no mater the size. I recycled papers for this card except the base.

This card is very different than my usual. No flowers and no bling lol I kept the card simple and try to showing up image and the pattern background I created. Hope you like my new card.
