Happy Valentine's Day

 Welcome back!!!

Hope you are doing well!! Still cold here in the Ohio Valley region, but at least it was sunny today.

Time for another Valentine card. I used scraps in making this card. And we all know we have plenty of scraps.(At least I sure do!!)

This is another easy peasy card.
Lots of layers and great use of designer paper scraps.
I used circle dies, a heart punch and just hand cut the rest of the layers.
Stamped the sentiment on the circle and the card is done.

This card is a 5X7

Well that's it for now.
Hope this inspires you

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping in today. I will be back soon

Stay safe and warm and be well.

Another Valentine Card

 Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to keep warm hope you are keeping warm and staying safe. The rain/ice/snow storm is over here in my area. Thank the Lord for small favors. LOL. I ventured out this afternoon, I just walked to my mailbox. Not as much snow that I thought. we got. That's a good thing. Spring will be here in 44 days, but who's counting!!

I am back today with another Valentine Card. Yep another inspiration card, LOL.

This is a 6X6 square card and it turned out so nice. Everything is from my stash. I'm sure you have things in your stash that would work for you to make a card similar to this. A couple of dies  - Memory Box (Cherish Border), an an old Sizzix envelope die,  a few punches and a stamp and you've got a card.

I am submitting this card in the following challenges:

Hope this card gives you inspiration for a Valentine's Day card you might still need to make.

This card is available at The Black Goose - waiting just for you.

I will be back soon with a couple more Valentine Day cards.

Valentine's Day is coming

 Hello all,

The weather here has been really wintery lately. So I have been busy making some Valentine cards. You know it's getting to be that time, making a card or two for that special someone, whether it's an adult or a child. I think it's always nice to send and receive a Valentine card.

Here is something a little different and yet easy to make. I love the design of this card. I call it a Corner Pop Up Card

Here is the card closed

Upon opening the card, this heart pops up. What a cute surprise.
There is space on the inside for the sender to write their own note.

I used some stamps, dies and punches already in my stash to make this card.

I sell some of my cards at The Black Goose, in Union Ky. They sell some antiques, and unique gifts for all different occasions. They have so many great items, you can't see it all in one visit, trust me!!.

They also have a coffee bar with great coffee and teas and sweets. If you live in the area or will be driving thru, you might want to stop by, you will not be sorry.

Back to my card----- This card is already at The Black Goose, just waiting for someone to purchase it for the upcoming card sending, sweets giving day. Valentine's Day will be here before we know it.

I am submitting my card in the following challenges:

Well, that's all for today, I will be back with a few more Valentine cards to inspire you to make some of your own.

Thanks for stopping in. Stay safe and warm

Craft-Dee BowZ February Blog Hop

Hi Everyone

Thanks for stopping by today, if you arrived here from Robin's blog, then you are in the right spot. If not then you may want to start at the Craft-Dee BowZ  blog to be eligible for the prize that will be awarded. Leaving comments along the way on each designers blog will make you eligible for the blog hop prize of a Craft-Dee BowZ tool.

Let me share my card with you.
This card was so fun to make. Let me briefly explain how I designed the card:

I started with a white 5"X7"  panel. Then I used a heart die to cut the first heart on the bottom left portion of the panel. I placed the heart die for the second cut going off the edge of the panel on the right side. I left enough of the shape so that there would be no problem knowing it was a heart. Next I used a glue pen and outlined the hearts and covered with red glitter.

Now I made my triple loop fluffy bow and positioned it in the center of the space between the two hearts. I taped the bow tails on the back side of the panel. I cut another 5"X7" panel, using DP.and attached it under the white panel with dimensional foam.

I added a red strip of DP on top of a slightly larger pink strip. Attached the strip to the panel and added white punched hearts and pink flat backed pearls to the strip. I added red punched hearts across the top, a red framed sentiment with pearl accent and a section of a red rosette with a pearl in the center, to the panel to finish it. The last thing I did was to attach the panel to a 5"X7" card front.

Here is a close-up of my triple loop bow

I am the last of the designers in the blog hop. Please stop back at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog to leave one last comment to be eligible for the prize of the Craft-Dee BowZ tool. (you must leave a comment on all the designers blogs and one on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog as well, for eligibility.)

It's a secret though. Each of the Sparkle Team Designers will be sharing their thoughts on how their cards fit into the romance theme.I know I speak for each of the designers when I say "We hope you enjoy viewing our cards as much as we did in creating them."

I used stampette set 453 Happy Heart on my first card. As soon as I looked at this new set, I thought of valentine cards from when I was a kid. You may remember them, they were so cute and whimsical.  So I decided to make an easel card to try to carry on that look.

Here is this darling stamp set I used.

Card Closed

Inside of card

  Easel car opened

This turned out easy to make. So if you haven't tried an easel card yet, don't shy away from them. They are not hard to make. Click here for the detailed instructions.

I'd like to share with you a 2nd project which is a card and an envelope combination. I used a petal card to use as an envelope.

The picture above, is of the petal card closed with doilies attached to the petals and a belly band was added to keep the envelope closed.

In keeping with the love/Valentine theme here is the special card that is inside the envelope. This is an odd card in that it is hinged on the bottom instead of on the top or the side. Don't you just love things that are a little different.

I used 2 stamps from stampette set 454 and I also used 2 different punches in designing this card.

Here is a view of the petal card that I am using for the envelope and the card resting in the envelope with the belly band in front. You can click here for detailed instructions.

Don't forget, to become eligible to win a Grand Prize, please leave a comment on EACH blog, and follow the directions on the last blog. Winners of the mini prizes are selected when they leave a comment on the mystery designer's blog AND answer the final question at the SNS Home Blog.

I want to thank you for stopping in today to check out my card creation. Now it's time to hop on over to   Julie Zippel's blog to see what she has designed.

Oh, don't forget to leave a comment.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Hello everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. Today is Valentine's Day. What a great day. Chocolates, a great dinner at your favorite place, a diamond, jewelry, wine, champagne, and the list can go on and on. Here is a nice little Valentine's Day card. The only stamping on this card is the verse. The background is made using a Tim Holtz embossing folder. The heart is from a store bought card someone gave me, so, I thought I would reuse the heart on my own card. The punch is EK Success and the ribbon is May Arts. Glitter is Sparkle N Sprinkle and is Aztec Gold(G1006). I love their glitter. It is so great.

Well, have a great day and here's to you on this Valentine's Day.

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon,

Valentine Inspiration

Hi Everyone!!

Hope everyone is staying warm and maybe you're digging out by now if you got hit with a lot of snow. My area lucked out, so to speak, ice but no snow to speak of. Most of the ice has melted off the streets in my area so they are drivable and now it's just COLD.

I have a great new design that I used, for a vintage Valentine Card that will warm your heart. Vintage cards make great Valentine cards and this one definitely has a twist, so to speak. This card is also designed for a challenge at Crazy for Challenges C4C72. There is a quite a lot of glitter on this design but it is so hard to photograph it, you may not see it.

This card is so unique that I felt you might like a few different angles to view this from.

Items used:
Heart shaped doilies front and inside of card, large square (on inside), round doily
Spellbinders Dies: Nested Hearts front, Oval on the inside.
The red heart on the inside is a Sizzix die (introduced a few years ago).
All cardstock -PopTones (my favorite)
Glitter -Fire Engine Red  SparkleNSprinkle
Embellishments -Rhinestones swirls
Coloring - Airbrushed with Copic Markers
Inks - Distress Ink Antique Linen, Old Paper, Walnut Stain
Stamp - Stampabilities (That Look)

Less than 2 weeks til Valentines Day. Plenty of time to get your Valentines finished. Stay warm and safe.

That's it for tonite, thanks for stopping by, see you soon,
