a birthday wish

Hi there!!
Hope you are having a great day today!!!

WOW!!! Today is the last Tuesday of the month. This month flew by and so has the year so far.
I have an inspiration card to share with you for  Craft-Dee BowZ.

I saw a card on Pinterest that is similar to my design below, so it became my inspiration.

Let me share my card with you.

The only stamping on this card is the sentiment.
I wanted to keep this card kind of simple.
I left a bit of extra room at the bottom of the card for my bow to be placed.

Here are some measurements and other info

I used a pinked circle for the center opening of the panel
and used a striped DP placed diagonally for the circle background.
I added a slightly larger pinked circle border, I felt I needed to break up some of that white.
My candles are cut at 7/16" wide and I decided to use pastel colors.

I made the flames from a small egg-shaped punch.

I added a sentiment to a banner shape that I hand cut and added it right above the bow.

My bow - it's just a double stacked single looped bow. I think this is more of a fancy yet simple look. OK, is that a dichotomy description or what LOL.

Here is a close-up view of my bow.

I used some pink sheer ribbon and it was perfect for this cute card.

Everything is Better

Happy August!!
WOW August is here.....  school starts in some areas, summer is on the wane, Stampaway Convention is taking place in a few days in Cincinnati, ah yes, I can continue but you are here to see a card not to hear a list of what August brings. LOL

The 1st of the month brings a new challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ. The challenge theme is always Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.You have the whole month to get your project completed and uploaded on the monthly challenge page over at Craft-Dee BowZ. We'd all love to see your submission and you could be our next winner.

For a little inspiration, I've made a masculine card and decided to use a single loop bow. I felt that a single loop bow is a better type bow for a man card.

Let me share my card with you.

That bow is made using a sheer ribbon. One of the best ribbons to use to make a bow IMHO.

Craft-Dee BowZ has the best bow making tool. It assists you in making single and multi-loop ribbon bows. It can also assist you in making a Washi Tape bow, tassels, wire flowers. WOW what a great list of different options. Check out the various Craft-Dee BowZ videos

Trick or Treat

If you are here for the Sparkle N Sprinkle Reveal,

Welcome back!!!

Yesterday on my Craft-Dee BowZ post, I spotlighted a card in the Halloween theme and today I want to show you a cute little Trick or Treat bag I made for my post this month for Craft-Dee BowZ. The theme for October for the DT  posts is Anything But a Card.

I used a black gift bag that I picked up from Michael's and decorated it. I have a die that cuts out 3 different skylines and I decided that would be a fun bag front. Recently I received a spider web and added that to the scene. A vellum full moon adds to the early evening scene. I couldn't resist adding that spider by the web.

This is a darling bag and is perfect for the kids trick or treat bag. When I was a kid going out to beg for candy, we never decorated our bags. We used a shopping bag and we started at 6:00 p.m. and went door to door til 9:00 p.m. or so.That was way before all of the troubles and the restrictions that are now in place. We didn't have to worry about treats that people would give us. It was all good!!  Those were the days!!!

I digress..............OK here is my creation keeping with the theme this month at Craft-Dee BowZ

Craft-Dee BowZ Valentine's Blog Hop

Hi Everyone
Welcome to the first Craft-Dee BowZ Blog Hop. This months blog hop is featuring a Valentine theme. If you hopped here by way of Amber's Blog then you are in the right place!! Otherwise you might wish to start at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog to become eligible for the Craft-Dee BowZ prize of a tool and a spool of beautiful ribbon.

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner I thought I would make a card that might give you some inspiration if you still need to make that special card for the special someone in your life.

A side step card makes a cool card and is quite easy to make and assemble

Here is a close up of my bow
and using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool makes your bow making abilities easy.

I also made a darling little box that is perfect for a little sweet treat to accompany a card.

I used just a single loop bow using wired ribbon. It turned out to be a perfect choice for this box.

Here is a view more from the top looking down. It gives a better view of the bow.

Here is the box opened with the sweet treats spilling out

Thanks for taking the time to join us for the first blog hop. Please remember to comment here on my blog and then leave one last comment over at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog  to be eligible for the prize.  We are looking forward to your thoughts on our first blog hop.

The winner will be announced on Saturday at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog, so check back there to see if you are the winner.
