Peace Love and Joy

Hi There,

Thanks for leaving all your comments last week on my posts that showcased the Diemond Dies.I really appreciate your comments.
Make sure to visit Craft-Dee BowZ all month to check out what the designers are up to. They all have really cool ideas to share with you.

Are you getting tired of Christmas cards?? Me neither!! I love all the great stamps and dies and embossing folders that are out on the market to make gorgeous cards for the holiday season.

Today I decided to use some corrugated box remnants on my card. This lead to a shabby chic look.(Love it)
Two die cut designs and some white paint, a little glitter and a punched strip and circle or two and basically the card is finished.

Shabby chic is a favorite style of mine, although I don't make as many cards in that style as I should.

If you like shabby chic, use some corrugated box panels. That will give you a awesome look.

Thanks for stopping by Hope you have a wonderful week.

The Glittered Ornament

Welcome Back!!!

Yesterday over at Stamping Buddies in Cincinnati, Ohio, I taught a class showing how to make a glittered ornament. The ornament is stunning and really makes a statement. Easy to make, just takes a little time. Perfect for a handmade gift for someone special or this will look gorgeous on your tree.

Let me show off the end result.

I used lots of glitter and the poinsettia topper on this ornament is made using the poinsettia stap from the lovely stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Holiday Foliage - Set 475.  The glitter colors are Shell Pink G1022 and Parisian Mist G1037 (one of  my favorite greens in the Sparkle n Sprinkle glitter line)

I love the look of the poinsettias that come out during the holiday season in the pinks and other colors other than the traditional reds, so that's why I decided to use a few non traditional colors when making this ornament.

I will be repeating this class over at Simply Said Rubber Stamps  on Sat. Nov. 9 @1:30. If you live in the greater Cincinnati area and want to take the class please contact Simply Said @ 513-833-3852 to reserve a seat.

This class includes how to make a box, to store or gift the ornament. Easy to make, too!!

Boy, I just checked my calendar and Thanksgiving will be here a month from tomorrow. It's late this year (Nov. 28) and that means that Christmas will be 3 1/2 weeks after Thanksgiving, this year. It's going to be a short buying season if you start after Thanksgiving. I have things already bought so I best start to wrap and that chore will be done.

November will be a busy month for me, I have classes or events every Sat. in November. So  I will be busy getting those ready. December I have one event and then I will be taking off the rest of the month. But I will be getting ready to start out the new year with new classes.

I will be back soon with some class samples and a few other things that I will be making.

Thanks for stopping in

Another Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Hi Everyone,

On my last post, I believe I mentioned that the Sparkle N Sprinkle Designers project for December was scrapbook layouts. My last post showed the cute whimsical layout I made using my cats as the subject. This layout utilized pic's of friends on Christmas Eve. I went to Robin's house for Christmas Eve, as I do every year, and she always decorates to the hilt! Her home is always in perfect order. Her trees are always perfectly decorated and I thought that would be my inspiration for this layout, the guests at her party. I took a few pictures of Robin and some of the others at her Christmas Eve get together and that got me started.

In planning this layout,  I picked out a beautiful gold/yellow scrapbook page and decided to make a fir tree stamping a pine sprig to resemble a pine tree.Next I used holly dies to add a border on the right edge. Then  came the poinsettias and the punched border. Lastly I added pictures and letters that I glittered.

Click here for complete directions and a product list.

This was a fun project and I will be doing more layouts, I'm sure.

I am submitting this in the following challenges:
