Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Deco Divas – Love is in the Air Blog Hop!  If you hopped here by way of the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog , then you are in the right place.  Otherwise, you might like starting from the beginning at the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog to become eligible for the four great prizes.

To view all our specials for the month, including some fabulous glitters, embossing powders and other SNS products, just click here - monthly specials.

Important things first!

One lucky person will win the Grand Prize - a Stamp Set of the winner's choice mounted on cling cushion. As you visit each artist's blog, there is the possibility of winning one of THREE more prizes! It's a secret though. No one knows who "those three secret artists" are except for Brenda...so be sure to leave a comment on EACH blog to be eligible (including the SNS blog).Winners will be announced Saturday, Jan 21st between noon and 3PM - Mountain Standard Time over on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog.

Each of the Sparkle Team Designers will be sharing their thoughts on how their cards fit into the romance theme.I know I speak for each of the designers when I say "We hope you enjoy viewing our cards as much as we did in creating them."

I used stampette set 453 Happy Heart on my first card. As soon as I looked at this new set, I thought of valentine cards from when I was a kid. You may remember them, they were so cute and whimsical.  So I decided to make an easel card to try to carry on that look.

Here is this darling stamp set I used.

This turned out easy to make. So if you haven't tried an easel card yet, don't shy away from them. They are not hard to make. Click here for the detailed instructions.

I'd like to share with you a 2nd project which is a card and an envelope combination. I used a petal card to use as an envelope.

The picture above, is of the petal card closed with doilies attached to the petals and a belly band was added to keep the envelope closed.

In keeping with the love/Valentine theme here is the special card that is inside the envelope. This is an odd card in that it is hinged on the bottom instead of on the top or the side. Don't you just love things that are a little different.

I used 2 stamps from stampette set 454 and I also used 2 different punches in designing this card.

Here is a view of the petal card that I am using for the envelope and the card resting in the envelope with the belly band in front. You can click here for detailed instructions.

Don't forget, to become eligible to win a Grand Prize, please leave a comment on EACH blog, and follow the directions on the last blog. Winners of the mini prizes are selected when they leave a comment on the mystery designer's blog AND answer the final question at the SNS Home Blog.

I want to thank you for stopping in today to check out my card creation. Now it's time to hop on over to   Julie Zippel's blog to see what she has designed.

Oh, don't forget to leave a comment.

Aren't these little guys cute. They are in the Tiny Tots collections over at Art Impressions. This particular stamp is called Valentot Love T4004.Cute, cute cute. I used Love Background - T2357 on those hearts and added a doily cut from pink card stock.A little glitter in the letters and adding a bow and the card is ready for giving.

Have a great day and stop back tomorrow for the 1st Art Impressions weekly challenge for this new year.
