Celebrate

Hi Everyone
I am so glad you've stopped in today. I have a fun card to share with you. Today's theme over at the Art Impressions weekly challenge is a Circle Card. And on top of that, the postman delivered me some new Art Impressions stamps today, perfect timing!!! I knew what kind of a card I wanted to do and when I looked at the new stamps, I envisioned which stamps I thought would be perfect for that round card. I selected the Party Girls because of the balloons, it just fit with the round card theme.

Here is the card opened

The girlfriends are having a blast and I just added some more balloons to add to the party look. I added bakers twine to the balloon bottoms so they could hold on to the balloons. LOL.  The sentiment is sitting on a tag cut from the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Die. I actually extended the die to allow the sentiment to fit. Also, since there is a large area of white space, I added my squiggles to that white background using a glue pen and covered that with Sparkling Snow Glitter. That just adds to the party atmosphere. LOL

Friends are your umbrella

Hi Everyone

Whoa!!!!! It's February 2 and today is Groundhog day. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. So you know what that means, 6 more weeks of winter. So far the winter here hasn't been too bad. Lets hope the next 6 weeks are as mild as the last.In the meantime..................

The challenge this week over at Art Impressions, is an Easel card. I really love doing these types of cards. They are fun and they can be interesting to figure out how to display and to photograph.
This card was no exception. I got started on this card and I decided how I was going to fashion the easel then I decided on the cloudy background. Next, I decided I wanted the umbrella to be a 3-D umbrella, so I took care of that.

Here is the card closed

And the card is sitting opened

Here are 2 more shots that will give you a better look at the umbrella's dimension.

Hope you've enjoyed  this card. Go ahead and try an easel card, they are easy to do and look so cool sitting open.

Supplies used:
Colored Pencils
Gamsol
