Smile

Hi there
Glad you see you.

Today is the beginning of a new month
and that means it's time for a new challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ.

I decided to use some flowers stamps from a new stamp set I recently picked up.
I wasn't sure how I was going to color everything and I finally decided to stamp on some Gelli Plate papers that I worked up and saved a while back.

Lets take a peek at the finished card

I had some green design papers so those were perfect for the leaves and the multi color papers were just what I wanted for the blooms. Then I decided to use more gelli plate papers for my layered panels bringing all the colors together.

Let me show you a closer pic of those flowers

I was really happy with the way the flowers turned out.

My bow is a 4 loop bow. I know - 4 loops, but I used Hug Snug, seam binding and since it is a thinner product a 4 loop bow is easy to make. The seam binding  started out as white  and I decided to dye it. Well I used Eggplant but it was too blue -ish so I rinsed it in the faucet. After patting it dry there was some blue left in the ribbon but I went ahead and sprayed it with Open Arms Amethyst and it matched that purple gelli plate panel. What a perfect mistake that turned out to be.
You know, the Crafty-Dee BowZ bow maker tool is what I use for all my bows. It is the best tool for all your bow making needs. Don't own one? Well click here to order one for yourself.

The designers have been busy with their inspiration projects and you can check them out here

    A Year Filled with Joy

    Hello Everyone,

Oh so glad to see you again!!

I don't know about you but I think I am ready for fall. Now I can't complain about our summer this year. It's been one of the mildest I can ever remember and believe me I have been around for a lot of them. LOL I know a lot of people have/are experiencing a really hot summer and I really feel for you.Looking forward, for my area, the Old Farmers Almanac is calling for a colder than normal winter with a lot of precip, and they used that 4 letter word, snow. The nerve of some people!!! Last winter was a pretty good one but I bet we get slammed this year. Time will tell.

I guess I am looking forward to fall, look at the card I just made. Leaves and some fall-ish colors

I love this new sentiment I just received and it's perfect for a birthday card, don't you think.
The sentiment is from Verses Rubber Stamps and they have a huge array of  "Verses" to choose from.
Click here to check them out.

I used some beautiful DP on two of  the leaves and on the other one I used a copper colored CS.

That background paper is from a batch of Gelli Plate papers I made and saved. You will see them from time to time on some of my work.

Well this week I have a few outside appointments so I will be busy with other "stuff" but that will give me time to clear my head and re-energize my muse.

    hello friend

    Hi Everyone
Glad you stopped in today. I had my monthly club meeting this past week and I want to share the card that I made for the challenge for our  January meeting. Just a little background - We usually have a challenge each month and we are given some type of product, usually an embellishment,or a stamp, and we are supposed to use it in a project of some kind.We are to use it, some how, in our creation. We generally get the challenge items one month and then bring in the finished project with the challenge items incorporated in it, the following month.

Well Denise gave each of us a magnet that looked like a badge. The magnet I chose had feathers on it. As luck would have it, I picked up a new die last weekend, and it was a feather. So, I was all set to make this card. I had a few other things hanging around so I added those items to the card too.

I used some corrugated paper from a box, and some black and yellow card stock. I also had a piece left over from playing around with my Gelli Plate, used that as the bottom panel you see on the card. Then there are the feathers and that round badge looking magnet. I used white card stock in making the feathers. I sponged ink onto the feathers shapes and then snipped them to look more realistic. I used stamps from Tim Holtz to make the "hello friend" sentiment.

The challenge next month is going to involve glitter shapes. I chose some swirly ones, so it will be interesting to see where my imagination leads me. There were other types of glitter shapes given out so we all have different things to work with.

In our club, usually someone volunteers to lead a tutorial for the project for that month. Denise suggested in place of her tutorial,  that we do a round robin of sorts for next month. Everyone will start their own card, with one thing on it, then we pass the cards around and as that happens each of us will add something to each of the cards. Hope that made sense. LOL We've never done that before so I will have to let you know how it turns out. Sounds interesting. Hmmmmm......

I am submitting this card in the following challenges:

    Thanks for stopping in today

                                                 See you soon

                                                                       Have a great weekend.

    Its Gelli Plate Time

    Hi Everyone,
Hope you have completed your Christmas shopping or at least you're nearing completion. I'm getting there.

It's Gelli Plate time. OK I can hear some of you saying "What....in the name of........ is she referring to".Are you familiar with a Gelli Plate? Yes, no?? Well I think it's the coolest product out right now. You can make your own background papers, or patterned paper for other projects as well. You use acrylic paints and stencils and a whole host of other items that can be used to incorporate shapes onto the print you are making. You might want to check out the video on the Gelli Arts home page here for a better explanation.

Let me show you a few of the papers I have made using my 8X10 plate.

This is the 2nd generation (or 2nd pull as it is referred to at times) of the design right above
I used foam stamps to get the designs onto the plate.

I took the paper from the top photo and used my Envelope Punch board and made the envelope and I since had a strip of left over, I attached it to the bottom of a card to make a note card.
The way to mail these busy envelopes is to attach a label to the front to write the address in.

    Here is the envelope

These designs can also make so pretty background papers. This card is using one of my papers I made as the background paper. I am sorry I didn't photograph the sheet before I cut it up. (Not thinking, duh... LOL)
I used ribbon in my stash to make my bow. And of course I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make this lacy looking bow.

Here is a closer view of the right side of the card

And here is the left side of the card.

I love making these and you can get some interesting backgrounds for sure.

Well I will let you all digest this for a while

I am going to enter my card in the following challenges:

Have a great week and I will be back soon. Thanks for stopping in.
