Getting Ready For Fall

Hello Everyone
Welcome to the start of a new month.
Gosh, we are halfway done with summer. The time is a'flying, isn't it!!!

has started and the theme is Anything Goes
The sponsor for August is
The winner will receive 3 digital images

I decided to work up a fall card.
(I think I'm tired of the hot dry weather we've been having lately)

This card is a really simple design
and the image I used just screams fall.
I used the Pumpkin with Vines image

I just love pumpkins.
And of course they are definitely a reminder of fall.

I think black goes so well with orange so, I got out some black wide, sheer, wired edge ribbon.
Since my card is a 5X7 size, the bow I made is a little larger.
This bow is just a double loop bow. And that ribbon has a hint of glitter on it.
Here is a closer view of this luscious bow.

Fluffy bows are so pretty in person and also look great on a package or a gift bag.
The Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool makes a great bow every time and it's so easy to use.

Have a Bountiful Season

Hello Everyone

Well did you get a lot of Trick or Treaters?? I sure did!! Did you turn your clocks back 1 hour??

Can you believe it, we just crossed right into November. The last 2 months will fly by.

Since its the 1st of another month, its time for the new challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ. That means you have the whole month to get a project made and entered in the challenge. As always the theme is Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.

Let me share my inspiration card with you today. (All of the CDB designers make an inspiration piece to share with you all. The CDB post on the first of each month shows all of the DT inspiration projects.)

Here is a closer view of my bow, made with the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.

The striped ribbon is just 2 loops staggered one on top of the other. The center bow however is a triple loop bow, made with the Craft-Dee BowZ tool and I just attached it to the center of the staggered loops.

Since we are in the fall season, I added the silk leaves as added interest and added texture.

Just think, this little tool made that bow on my card. And it makes bow making so easy.
You can order your very own here

Life is Beautiful

Hi Everyone
Glad to see you've stopped in today!!! Hope everyone had a nice Halloween and lots of Trick R Treaters. I had a fair amount of kids even though it was rainy off and on. At least it wasn't too cold for them.

The next holiday, arriving before we know it, is Thanksgiving. Oh and I can smell a turkey baking right now!!. Mmmmmm!!!

OK, back to the real world for right now. LOL

I want to share a card that I just finished. I used some card stock in my new favorite color, orange. LOL (Seems that I have used quite a lot of orange in my October posts.)

I was looking thru my stamps to see what jumped out at me and the set from Cornish Heritage Farms spoke to me. There are so many stamps in this set it was hard to choose something. But I finally decided to use the medallion image.

I used brown CS and embossed the medallion image with Cayenne Star EP. It has glitter added in the EP powder and it really makes the image glisten. I thought the rosettes made a nice addition to the medallion

I also used some of paper flowers from Prima and I added rhinestones to the centers. The rhinestones were not the right color,(They were a topaz color) so I used a Spectrum Noir alcohol marker to change the color from a yellowish to this reddish orange. They are a perfect match now. The sentiment is also from the CHF set.

The bow..... well I used the Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make this fluffy bow. I use my Craft-Dee BowZ tool for virtually all my bows. Easy to use to get those fabulous looking bows every time. Click here to order one for yourself.

The rich chocolaty brown ribbon, used for this bow, is a fav of mine. The bow is a multi-loop bow and I wrapped the ribbon three times around the pegs to make this fluffy bow. This ribbon has lightly wired edges and that is my favorite type of ribbon. It makes fluffing the loops easy and if you are going to send this to someone, the ribbon can easily be re-fluffed.(hmm, .... is that a word LOL)

I added a beaded hat pin that I made and that finishes the card.

Products used:
Card stock and paper: Orange CS, Brown CS, White CS, DP
Stamps - Cornish Heritage Farms - Ornamental Beauty LL-6018
Dies: Spellbinders Circle - S4-116, Sizzix Paper Rosette
Prima - Paper Flowers
Rhinestones
Spectrum Noir- Alcohol marker  CR10
Corsage pin and beads and pearls to make the hat pin

Well, that's it for now. I have a huge project waiting in the wings and it has to get done for a craft show coming up very soon and I have 2 classes this weekend so I have a few things on my plate. LOL

I am also entering my card in the following wonderful challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping in today. Have a great week and I will be back soon,

New Releases from Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and I am excited to let you know that Sparkle N Sprinkle has just released some new stamp sets and they are all fabulous!!! Today I am sharing 3 cards with you.

The first set I want to show you  is really perfect for this, the harvest time of the year. Three great images and 5 verses that will fit your fall/thanksgiving needs.

set 474 Fall Harvest

I used 3 different dies to highlight the beautiful cornucopia and the verse.
BTW, don't be afraid to use a portion of a die cut, to accent a portion of your card.

OK, let's move on to the Christmas holiday for the next new set.
I really fell in love with this set. Of course, Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year, so, maybe I am a little prejudiced.

set 475 Holiday Foliage

The 1st card I made uses the poinsettia and this design is perfect to layer up, like a medallion image. That open leafy looking border on the right side is from a punch that will make a flower if you curl it up. I thought it looked great as a border and compliments the leaves on the poinsettia.

Next up is card #2 using more stamps from the Holiday Foliage set.
The Pine Cone Swag image makes a great wreath, doesn't it??!!
I am sure this set will become a favorite of yours, like it has mine.

I am sure you will come up with some amazing cards using the stamps in these new sets.
