Back To School

Hello everyone.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day holiday and weekend. Now that that holiday has past it's time for fall to come into out lives. Back to school, cooler days and crisp evenings, sweaters, apples and oh so much more, these are the things that remind me of fall.

This month the sponsor over at Craft-Dee BowZ is Robyn's Fetish

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is proud to sponsor this months challenge
at Craft-Dee BowZ. Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations,
was created and is owned by Robyn Weinrib.
Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers,
designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion. Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps And More
is happy to award 3 digital stamps of the winner’s choice
to the winner of this months challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.

Well I think school has started back everywhere,
and with that in mind I decided to make a card
with a back to school theme.

I saw the image with that apple and the worm reading his book (Apple With Smart Worm),
and decided that image would be cute on a Back to School card.

Here is a closer view of this cute Smart Worm

I added a beautiful double loop bow using a gorgeous lime green
with a white hounds tooth check design.
This is a wired ribbon and those are my favorite types of ribbon
because they hold their shape..
I thought it made a great accent to the smart worm.

To make this bow I use my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. The tool is easy to use and is easy to store and small enough to take with me if I go to a crop or even a friends house.
You can order one here
Oh BTW, I use my CDB tool on all my bows.

    April Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge

    Hello Everyone,

WOW another month has flown by. And since its the 1st of the month that means it's time for a new challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ.

Let me share with you my inspiration card
and if you go to the Craft-Dee BowZ blog
you will see the other designers inspiration cards as well.

Since we are experiencing some great spring weather here in my area, I got out a flower stamp from Rubbernecker. The dilemma I had when making my card was what color to use on the flowers. Well I will be the first to tell you I am not a huge lover of orange, but that's the color I went with.
    Go figure. LOL

This card is an A-7 card (5"X7"). I didn't want to make a square card and the stamped image is kind of large, so I went with that size.

The stamp set I chose is a 2 step set and only has 3 blooms on it. I wanted the look of a bouquet, so I stamped the image again on the left side and then on the right side of the first stamp.

See those six sided yellow/orange pieces I added to the card, I used a punch on some orange and yellow paint sample chips.I punched them out layered them offset and I popped those up.

I outlined the blossoms with orange glitter and added gold glitter to the centers.

Next I wanted the illusion of the ribbon tied around the bouquet, so I cut a slit on the right and left sides of the stems and drew my ribbon thru the slits and added a double loop bow.

Let me show you a closer view of the bow.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make that bow.
I chose to make a double loop bow. I think it's the perfect size for this image.
The Craft-Dee BowZ tool is so versatile, I can make a bow from 1" to 4 1/2" Perfect sizes for cards gifts and whatever else you want to add a bow to.

The tool takes up so little room, stores easy and the bows are spectacular!!

    Everything Matters

    Hello Everyone.
Are you getting used to seeing, saying and writing 2015. I am sure I will mess up this month at some point. LOL

Well we are thru with Christmas and now the next big card giving day is Valentines Day. The Craft-Dee BowZ design team will be posting Valentine projects all this month. Since it's the first Tuesday of the month, it's my turn to post. So let me start off the month with my card.

In looking at the "stuff" I haven't used in a long time, I got a few ideas to incorporate in my card.I decided to use my ribbon punch that I haven't used in eons.I also decided to score a diamond pattern on the white panel and on the heart. (Haven't done that in eons, either). In threading my ribbon thru the punched openings, I folded the ribbon in half, since the ribbon was wider than the openings.

Here is a closer view of my bow. It's a double loop bow and my Craft-Dee BowZ tool made it so easy to make the bow.

Have you submitted a project to the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge this month?? The theme is always "Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow". Easy-peasy.

Just a reminder - we will be having our bi-monthly blog hop, and it starts Feb. 5 @ 10:00 p.m. et. Please mark your calendars and join us for more inspiration.

    Birthday Blessings

    Hi Everyone
Its time for my regular monthly Craft-Dee BowZ post. Did you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend??? I sure did. Now it's time to get back in the swing of things, back to work, back to the normal routine.

Normally I am not a big fan of orange, but my tastes must be changing 'cause in the last two posts I used orange. And here I go again today with more orange. LOL  That's OK, I guess I am in ushering the fall season, with my choice of orange colors on these cards lately.

I had some Tri Shutter cards cut and ready to finish and I decided to use one of those for my card today.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make the bow for this card. And you know, I always say this, that tool is easy to use and it lets me make fabulous bows every time. I opted for a double loop bow for this card. I really didn't want the bow to over power the side of the card. Did you notice that I layered the green ribbon down the center of that wide yellow ribbon. What a great effect.

I used one of my blank tri shutter cards to decorate.I added stamped images and gorgeous designer paper to really make that card come to life.
This first pic shows the card closed.

These tri-shutter cards are so fun to decorate, because there are so many areas to work with.

I love the fact that they will stand on their own and show themselves off. LOL

The pic below is a view from the right looking to the left
The sentiment is positioned in the center.

I added 3 flowers to the right side of the card.

That butterfly is the perfect addition to the front area.

Craft-Dee BowZ has their monthly challenge going on right now. Hope you enter, you could be the next winner of the bow maker. Click here and go to the Monthly Challenge  tab at the top of their blog to check out the challenge blog and all the details.

Check out CreativeEssences, my Etsy store, for blank tri shutter cards, as well as a few other blank card designs that are not always easy to cut with a craft knife.
(Let me help you make your card making a little easier.)

Hope you have a great week, see you soon,
