Fabulous Folds!! What a great theme for our first blog hop for 2013.

I am so excited to show you my project for this hop. Since the theme is Fabulous Folds, my project definitely takes advantage of that theme.With folds in mind, I decided to make a Book Card. This project has a lot of folds, so it fits perfectly in with this theme. Accordion folds become the frame of the book  From a side view it looks like pages of a book don't you think This looks so difficult but is really quite easy.Once the frame is made everything else falls right into place. This is such a fun project to do and the images that I used are digital images from Sparkle N Sprinkle.They have a great array of "digi's" and I love having the flexibility of changing the size etc of the image when you use a "digi". And digital images are really reasonably priced, for those of us on a tight budget.

Happy Birthday Linda

Hi Everyone
Just a quick post to share with you a card that I made yesterday to give to one of my dearest friends, Linda.

Her birthday was Saturday and in her honor I made one of these cool book cards. She  really liked this.She was so surprised when I gave her the card.

Here is the card closed. I used designer paper and added a spine cover to the book and had it come over onto the front of the card/book cover. I  had embossed it and then used white ink to show off the embossed design.

This is a shot of the card open to the inside. I love the way this side has a recessed area, it enables you to showcase a few things in this spot.

I just used some spare flowers I had in my stash and I had the this rosette but since it was round it needed to be smaller to fit better, so I just cut it in half to fit it inside the opening. I used a Hero Arts  happy birthday stamp and it fit perfectly on the Spellbinders Banner.
