Butterflies

Hello everyone and welcome to September

I thought I'd stop in and get the month started with my card
for the Craft-Dee BowZ September challenge.
September  means it's getting really, really close to the official start of fall
and it also means it's time to start another monthly challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ.

This month's sponsor is Fred She Said

The prize offered by Fred She Said is
$10.00 gift certificate
Hope you can come and play - and you might be a winner.

I love butterflies (and who doesn't) and since we are wrapping up summer, I decided to use a swallowtail butterfly image on my card. To me, they are the last vestiges of summer.

Fred She Said has the prettiest butterfly image. So here is the card I came up with

This card was so fun to put together. Love the colors that I used on that butterfly.

My Bow was so easy to make since I used the Craft-Dee BowZ tool.
I just used some yellow satin ribbon and made a triple loop bow.
Easy peasy

If you are bow challenged and need an easy to use tool,
the Craft-Dee BowZ tool fits the bill, so

With Love

Hey!! Happy New Year!!! How are you today!!

Welcome back. I am so amazed that today is the first day of 2019. Last year flew by didn't it!!! Since it's the start of the first challenge of 2019  over at Craft-Dee BowZ, I'd like to share my DT project for the January 2019 Challenge.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Fred She Said

and I decided to use the Hearts and Roses digi set

I thought the Roses and Heart image would look nice on a lattice background.
I used silver card stock for my lattice.

I colored the image and fussy cut it out and attached it over the lattice die cut. I attached the lattice on a red CS panel and that panel is attached to the card front.

I added pink glitter to the roses and red glitter to the heart shape.
Glitter always add a fun glitz to anything!!

The sentiment is from the set.

A Christmas Rose

Hello everyone

Christmas is right around the corner, isn't it?? Hope you have all your cards made out and mailed. I still have a few to mail.  I will be doing that Monday.

Here is a card that I made for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends challenge. Hope you like it.

I used the Christmas Rose image from Fred She Said.

I used a pink color - I know, not the traditional Christmas colors we are used to seeing. I like thinking outside the box now and then.
I colored the rose a pink shade and used green for the greenery. Those red berries are a great addition to this pretty image. When I started assembling the card, I printed the image on cream CS and colored it and decided to use an oval die. I then accented the oval shape with a gold oval that just peeks out on the right side. On the left side of the oval, I added punched and die cut greenery. To balance the gold from the right side of the oval, I added a few gold sprigs in the greenery. Next, I used some red rhinestones and some gold outline sticker dots to finish this card

Here is a peek of the inside of the card

Toad-ly Awesome

Hello Everyone

The next challenge has started over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

The sponsor is Fred She Said

My darling image is from Fred She Said and is the perfect boy card.

Well, summer is in full swing here in my area and as a kid, I remember going to the creek to play during summer vacation. There were tadpoles and crawdads and fish, a few snakes and just all kinds of other critters. But I remember the bullfrogs down by the lake. At night you could hear them croak really loudly. LOL. And could they jump!!!

All the kids in the neighborhood would go to the creek and the lake and play and the boys would always be trying to catch a frog. And then they would chase us girls and we would scream and run. LOL

So as soon as I saw Nolan and the Bullfrog, I remembered those days of my youth.

I found some paper with lilypads on it and thought it would be a perfect fit for my card with  Nolan and his bullfrog.

What little boy wouldn't love getting this card?

Hope you are having a fun summer.

I am submitting my card in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping in today. I hope my card gave you some inspiration.

I will be back soon with more inspiration.

Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone,

Hey!! Welcome back!!!
It's time for another challenge over at Crafty Creations Challenges. This challenge will end on April 24, so you have plenty of time to get creative and enter your project.
The sponsor for this challenge is Fred She Said and the winner will receive a $10.00 gift certificate.

I seem to like/use flower/images and in keeping with my tendency (LOL)

I am using Doodled Floral Corner

This is a great digi and I just love it. Perfect for so many different occasions.
I chose to make this one a birthday card.

In making this card I printed two of the designs. I used the square design and I sized it at 5".
On the first print, I colored the design flowers and leaves and then fussy cut the design out. One the second print, I colored just the flowers and fussy cut just those flowers. Next, I shaped the flowers using a paper shaper (used the large ball). I just wanted to give the flowers some dimension. Then I attached the cut flowers over the same size flowers on the square design.

Here is a view that shows those flowers and what they look like after I added the shaped flowers.

Even though this is spring, I chose a black background panel to mount the design onto.
(Hope this doesn't look too much like Halloween,
based on the orange flowers and that black background.)
These flowers just remind me of spring.

Next, I chose a light green panel to place under the black panel and the main card is an orange tone to go with the colors in the flowers.

I used a Happy Birthday die (cheap die) and used a beautiful gold heavyweight paper
to cut that sentiment.

This was a fun card to make and I hope it has given you some ideas.

Don't forget, the latest challenge has started over at Crafty Creations.
I hope you will enter a project.
The theme is always Anything Goes.
