with love

Hello, Hello, Hello,

Welcome back. It's the first Tuesday of the month and it's time for "Inspiration Tuesday" over at Craft-Dee BowZ

I thought I'd share a card I've made using a brand new die I purchased recently. I loved it when I bought it and I really love it since I've used it. I actually purchased 4 different dies and this is the 1st one I have used so far. Can't wait to use the others.

OK let me share my card with you

This die set is so versatile. Its called Love is in the Air. This set comes with 6 dies, 3 smaller flowers that match the flowers on the left side of the cutout. Nice, but the star of this set are the 3 other dies. They are interchangeable. You get just the right side of the heart, you get just the left side of the heart. And when you put these together, your cut out looks like what you are seeing on my card.  The 3rd heart piece is just a smooth heart half. I bought this at HSN on their craft day broadcast last month.

This is a crafter's Companion die, from their Create a Card series, Love is in the Air.
 Check it out here.

For the open background of the heart, I used an alcohol inked panel positioned behind that heart.
I then attached the panel onto a 6X6 silver card front.

I used a die to cut the sentiment, added some pearls to the flower centers on the heart and stamped and cut out a butterfly for additional interest.

I also added a fluffy bow. I made a triple loop bow and then stacked a double loop bow on top. It gave me the look I wanted.

My Bow

Here is a closer view of that luscious bow.

If you have a problem making bows, then may I suggest the Craft-Dee BowZ tool.
It is easy to use, portable, lightweight and enables you to make bows from 1" to 4 1/2"

You can order one direct from the Craft-Dee BowZ site.

It's the Fall Season

Hi Stampers,
I want to share a card that I think shows the colors of fall. I used one of the Flower Fairies Friends sets from Crafters' Companion. I used Lavender. She is beautiful however I wanted to use the beautiful fall colors, so I cut off the sprig of lavender that she usually holds in her hands and replaced it with a beautiful leaf. I used a combination of Copic Markers and Fresco Inks to color the fairy.

This card will be entered in the following:

Another Thank You card

Hi Stampers,
I have been asked to be the guest designer over at the Crafter's Companion blog for the month of August. (I was a guest designer back in May too.) This company has a great stamp selection and some wonderful tools as well. And make sure you look at their extensive fairy line. Check out their products here.
The card I have for you today is a Thank You card. And you know we all need these kind of cards from time to time.

These Fairies have really stolen my heart. I love them. I thought the Wild Cherry Blossom Fairy would look so cute along side a medallion from a paintable wallpaper panel. Since the medallion had a circle in it I added more circles using the rick rack circles.
What better way to say thank you than to have the Fairies deliver the message.

Guest Designer for Crafters Companion

Hi Everyone,
It's another rainy day here and the forcast is for rain all week.  Well you know what that means, time to craft and chase the rain away. (We hope.)

I just have to share this little bit of news with you all. I was chosen for the 1st guest designer spot for the month of May over at Crafters Companion. Isn't that exciting?!? They've posted a card I designed for Mother's Day using stamps from their company and there will be another card design that they will post later this month.

I used stamps from a set called Flower Fairies Zinnia stamp set. They also have other flower fairies sets and they are great too. Very detailed and very nice stamps. Check them out, I am sure you will find something that you will just love, like I did.

Well thats it for now, thanks for stopping by today,

Crafters Companion Challenge

Hi everyone,
Thought you'd like to see a card that I made for the challenge over at Crafter's Companion. I recently purchased some of their stamps and this fairy set ,which is so cute, was among the sets I bought. As soon as I got this stamp set I made this card but didn't know what I was going to do with it. Then I spied the challenge over at Crafters Companion. I added  the small yellow flowers to finish the card and decided this would work great for their challenge. Here is their criteria:
The challenge this month is to use your Crafter's Companion products and incorporate flowers into it. It's up to you how you want to include flowers. Your project can be a card, a layout, mini album, or altered item.

So here is my creation and what I used to create this card.
Stamp Set - Fairies Buttercup set from Crafter's Companion
Labels 10 - Spellbinders
Small shaped flowers - Lotus Punch from Just Imagine/Kreations
Ribbon - unknown (in my stash)
Markers - Copic
Cardstock-PopTones

Yellow makes me think of spring and I do believe its finally on its way. I hope I have inspired you today. That's it for now, hope you enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by,

It's Spring, finally......................

Are you ready for it???? Spring arrives tonight at 7:21 EDT. I think everyone is so ready for warm weather. So, in celebration of the arrival of Spring, I designed 2 cards for your viewing pleasure.

The first card has a flower from the new Zinnia set I just received recently from Crafter's Companion. The set is so cool. Love the flowers and the fairies that are in the set. You may want to check them out. The white sheet utilized  a crimper to get that interesting background.

Pink reminds me of spring. So I thought this card would be a great card to usher spring in. I used a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms in the Silhouette Blooms I set. (Sadly they are no longer in business.) I love this monochromatic look. The side borders were made using punch #304 from Just Imagine/Kreations. I added an embellishment that I made using embossed metal, covering a large piece similar to a domino that my friend Angie gave me. I added alcohol ink to the metal piece and I attached it with a ribbon. It really adds interest to the card.

Well that is all I have today. Have a great start to spring and thanks for stopping by,
