G is for Girl

Welcome to my cold and rainy spot of the world!! LOL

Seems like everyone's weather is crazy. Flooding, snow, rain and lots of it.
Hope your weather is better than mine.

I look at it this way, as the days go by, we are getting so close to spring. Next month!! And it isn't coming fast enough (IMHO).

OK enough about the weather.

Let's check out the next challenge over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

Craft-Dee BowZ - Just For You

Hello and welcome to February,

I have 2 posts for you today, please scroll down for the Crafty Creations Challenge post.

Since it's the beginning of February, Craft-Dee BowZ has a new monthly challenge that has started,

Let me share my card with you.

This cute little rabbit is from A Day For Daisies,
the sponsor for the CDB challenge this month

When I was looking at the image for this card I went over to A Day For Daisies, looking at more of their images and I found flowers that looked like the flowers that this cute bunny is holding. Since they were a match (in my eyes) I went ahead and purchased that image. What a perfect match.

I added three of those flowers as a border and  it really added to the card design.

The bow is a two layered single loop bow. I love the look of that bow style. It takes up less space than a pouffy bow and it is the perfect bow style for this card.

The Craft-Dee BowZ tool is the perfect bow maker.

Order yours here.

LET ME SHARE WITH YOU THE SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Challenge 40

Hi there,
It's time for Challenge #40  at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.
As always the theme is Anything Goes.

Let me share my project with you.

The sponsors for the challenge are

and

I am using the image Freehand Butterfly 1  from A Day For Daisies.
This butterfly choice comes with 2 images -
With this purchase you will receive two Digital Stamps of a lovely butterfly;
one image is impressed with music notes and one without.
I used the one without.

I decided to print the image out onto designer paper and
I also decided to copy a dictionary page out onto card stock
and then printed another butterfly image out onto that dictionary CS.

Since the butterfly is a really open image it lends itself to mixed media of sorts. I decided that some stencil designs would be a perfect addition to the butterflies and to the background of the card, too. White paint worked well on the pink butterfly and alcohol markers was a perfect choice for the circles on the black & white butterfly.

Over the weekend I bought a new Tim Holtz Sizzix  Alterations die set. It is called Mixed Media #3. and I used the letters in the alphabet portion to add the sentiment.

The font on this alphabet set is really interesting and
some letters are quite different and are a little hard to decipher.

I love this sentiment - "Hope is never lost."
