Para uma quarta-feira à noite, confesso-me agradavelmente surpreendido com o volume da massa humana que ontem rumou ao Incógnito. Para tal muito contribuiu, obviamente, um número considerável de amigos aos quais queria endereçar uma palavra de agradecimento. Let's celebrate the irony

Os Wombats são três putos de Liverpool que usam a música como meio de diversão. Nada de condenável. Sendo certo que não trazem nada de novo ao mundo, têm a seu favor uma característica que aprecio: um sentido de humor mordaz, como podem constatar mais abaixo.
Ontem à noite, no Incógnito, ao observar a reacção de efusiva de algumas pessoas aos primeiros acordes de um tema dos Joy Division, lembrei-me dos Wombats. Vá-se lá saber porquê...

Awesome Color @ Lounge, 04/06/2008

A sala do Lounge foi pequena para todos quantos quiseram presenciar in loco a descarga sónica dos Awesome Color (AC), esse fabuloso trio do catálogo da Ecstatic Peace.
Os que responderam à chamada foram surpreendidos por um concerto curto e directo, feito de uma mescla do rock primário dos Stooges (ou não fossem os AC provenientes do Michigan) com o psicadelismo dos 13th Floor Elevators, servida informalmente por putos nascidos após a explosão punk de 1977. Tudo, obviamente, com um volume ensurdecedor. Verdadeiramente impressionante, é o que eu vos digo.

Apesar do adiantado da hora, não poderia deixar de passar pelo Incógnito para saudar este camarada de armas no arranque simbólico de uma nova aventura na qual lhe desejo a melhor das sortes. A ocasião serviu também para trocar dois dedos de conversa com muita beautiful people. Um serão perfeito... O pior foi a manhã seguinte...

Começou calma esta minha segunda aventura ao comando dos pratos do Incógnito, já sem o nervosismo que típico de uma primeira vez. Obs.: O tema dos Joy Division passou a pedido de um dos presentes, como alternativa aos Bauhaus, que não podia nem pretendia passar. O mais engraçado é que fez questão de frisar que podia ser qualquer um, desde que não fosse o "Transmission" ou o "Love Will Tear Us Apart". Parece-me que esta forma que algumas pessoas têm de "apreciar" música, quase em exclusividade, dava um estudo interessante. Fica a sugestão para os estudantes de Sociologia...

Apesar do nervosismo inicial e das diversas "falhas técnicas" que lhe estão inerentes, saí da minha primeira aventura em "terreno Incógnito" com uma sensação de "dever cumprido". Eu gostei, espero que os presentes também.
