Almost Christmas?

Another quilt given to us from Lottie, my husband's grandma. I like to pull this quilt out during Christmas time and lay it on the back of our couch. Even though it has blue fabric in it I still think it speaks Christmas to me.

One more sneak peek with a vintage button on it.

I wouldn't have guessed it had blue fabrics in it when I saw the first photo. It does look like something to use at Christmas time.

Vintage quilts make me want to know more about them. There is something so lovely about age on a quilt.

So awesome! I don't have ONE old quilt. Doesn't seem as though anyone in my family quilted. Which is so hard to believe. Love this quilt. Yes, very Christmasy. ;o)

Another lovely to be sure!

How do you display them when they're not in use, Carrie?

I think this sneak peek is going to do me in...gorgeous fabric, lace and a vintage button. Sigh.

Wow, Carrie. It's amazing how prolific your husband's grandmother was - especially since she did everything by hand! Thanks for showing them.

I agree, that is very definitely a Christmassy quilt. It looks quite large; it must have taken quite a while to make. You are lucky to have such wonderful family heirlooms to treasure.

The fabric, lace and button on this sneak peek are gorgeous. I just love floral fabrics!!!
