Anyone for Anya? - Spring Fever!

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog our theme is "Spring Fever!", we want to see your spring inspired cards.

For my card I have used one of the Creepy Cakes digi images from The Greeting Farm which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - R20/R21/R22/YG00/YG01/YG03/YG05/Y21
The papers are all October Afternoon "Farm Fresh" which have been layered with some Bazzill cardstock. I have kept the embellies to a minimum on this one just using some Daffodils from Wild Orchid Crafts available HERE and some butterflies punched with my Martha Stewart Punch and finally I used the SU Mothers Day stamp again. The reason for the simple embellies is that I am taking this card to the Crematorium to leave with a plant for my Mum...and I know they will throw the card away, at least this way all the items on the card are recyclable.

I didn't expect to have to make more Mothers Day cards this weekend....but David took my box of cards to work....and sold all my Mothers Day cards....LOL

Be sure to check out the Anyone for Anya? blog to see the rest of the beautiful cards by the DT.

Just Magnolia - Week 46 Bev's Sketch

This week over on the Just Magnolia Challenge blog there is a fab sketch provided by Bev, and on the Daring Cardmakers Challenge blog there is a theme of "Daffodils"....so far this year these are the only daffodils I have seen....not a single one in bloom here...or in the shops for that matter.

For my card I have used Ladybug Tilda and she has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - Y21/R20/R21/R22
The papers are all October Afternoon "Farm Fresh" layered with some DCWV cardstock which I have distress the edge of. I have embellished with some gorgeous Daffodils from Wild Orchid Crafts, available HERE, a heart pin from Creative Treasures, available HERE, a red ribbon bow from Crafty Fairy and some butterflies punched with my Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is one from Stampin' Up that I have punched put using my SU scalloped oval punch.

Be sure to check both the challenge blogs to see the gorgeous DT creations.

SJ's Little Musings...Mothers Day Musing!

Yesterday SJ kindly gave us a second freebie image that she had just drawn that morning. The DT didn't get a chance to make anything with it in advance seeing as SJ hadn't even drawn it yet...LOL. So yesterday afternoon and evening I printed and coloured the image and these are the results.

I coloured the image with my Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair (Child) - E50/E51/E53
Hair (Mum) - E25/E27
Clothing (Child) - YG03/Y38/R46/R14/BG32/BG34
Clothing (Mum) - B93/B95/B97/R20/R21/R22/BG32/BG34
The papers I used are all My Minds Eye Quite Contrary "Jack & Jill" and you can get them HERE from Dies to Die For. I have as always embellished.....I cannot resist...no clean and simple for me LOL...Tim Holtz "Adage" tickets, Making Memories mini alpha's, heart pins available HERE from Creative Treasures, Cherry Blossoms Roses and lace available from Wild Orchid Crafts, I also threaded some Anita's satin ribbon in teal through the lace and added a Craft Fairy ribbon bow to the pin.

I have teamed SJ's Little Musing available to download for free HERE, with the sketch over on Friday Sketchers. Be sure to hop on over and check out the sketch and the DT cards.

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 6 "Mother's Day"

The challenge over on The Sugar Bowl is to make a card or other craft project suitable for a Mother. I have chosen to make a Mother's Day card. For my card I have used one of the new Gorjuss Girls. She has been coloured with Distress Inks using the following colours...

Tattered Rose (Skin)
Walnut Stain (Hair)
Faded Jeans (Dress & Boots)
Antique Linen/Walnut Stain (Envelope & Tights)
The papers are Basic Grey "Granola", I have also added some 99p ribbon from HobbyCraft, Prima Blossoms attahced with a brad and spacer and a heart pin. The sentiment has been created using a Stampin' Up stamp and a diecut from Craftwork Cards.

Below is a picture of the decorated inside, which I have done using the scraps.

Thanks for Gayle and the DT for the challenge....all the cards/projects were stunning again.

My first delivery of birthday cards has arrived and it was so lovely opening them. Never before have I received so many beautiful hand crafted cards...so far I have had cards from Monika (a cute bookmark in a pocket), Marlene, Lynn and Jayne. They are all so beautiful, I cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings. My Spring Club Kit also arrived from Magnolia this morning, and now they are cut up ready to ink....
