Papertake Weekly Challenge "Frightful but delightful!"

This week over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog the theme is Halloween "Frightful but delightful!" and I have made a pyramid card (well it was a ready made pyramid from PaperMania...LOL). I have used Making Memories flocked web paper which was from last years range. The stamps are all by Doodlebug and have been coloured with ProMarkers using the following colours...

Warm Grey 4 (Bats)
Warm Grey 2 & 3/Silver metallic/Gold (Haunted House)
Warm Grey 1 (Ghost highlights)
Pastel Blue (Shadow)
Pumpkin (Pumpkins)

I have also added Doodlebug buttons to the front of the card (Moon & Pumpkin). Georgia liked this one so much, she said she wants to keep it for herself....she is always so sweet, loving my creations.

Tonight is Parent Consultation night at Georgia's school, so at 5.30pm we will be meeting with her teacher to see how she is getting on. I have a couple of concerns, but they are more to do with another child in her class (who until yesterday was her friend, but said friend has since told Georgia that she doesn't like her). Georgia is such a sensitive soul that she was upset, although I told her that she would probably have forgotten by today.....you know how kids are....

Stampin' Up and hAnglar & stAnglar

I went to my first Stampin' Up party on Thursday since the new catalogue came out and started to make a couple of items. I made the basics of the card above, although I cocked up and had to remove part of it due to a grammar mistake...I put First Happy Birthday, instead of Happy First Birthday...what a doughnut.... Anyway originally I used the light blue cardstock and jumbo roller with the circles/dots on with a Versamark inkpad....but had to swap it for a scrap of Bazzill I had in a darker blue. Anyway the base of the card if the cream (not sure of the SU colour) the dark brown is Choc Chip and I am not sure of the lighter brown...so I am pretty useless really. Over the weekend I added the hAnglar & stAnglar "Boy on the Bike" from the Winter Club Kit coloured with ProMarkers using the following colours...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Pastel Yellow/Gold (Hair)
Cornflower (Jeans & Neckerchief)
Blue Pearl/Sandstone (Top)
Blue Pearl (Cap)
Cocoa (Shoes)
Cinnamon/Ice Grey 1,2 & 3 (Bicycle)
I use my Nestabiities to cut the oval, and added a kite stamp by Magnolia cololoured using ProMarkers and the same colours as the main image, with added embroidery thread to make the strings of the kite. The sentiment was done using DoodleBug stamps and Stampendous stamps, and finally to finish it off a few buttons from my stash.

This next card was made using the offcut of the background paper I made at the party....the scrap of the part I cocked up on the previous card. Again I added a hAnglar & stAnglar image and coloured with my ProMarkers...colours as follows...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Pastel Yellow/Gold (Hair)
Sandstone (Banner)
Pastel Blue (Shadow)
Finished off with a pice of SU Choc Chip Taffeta...such a simple little card and at 3 x 3 inches...my DD loved it.

Stampin' Up and Tilda

Here is a picture of the project I made last night when I went to a friends Stampin' Up party. It was a lovely little project. Michelle, the SU demonstrator knew we were all crafters so didn't want to make anything too basic. This was a perfect project...not too difficult that you couldn't chat while making it...but not so simple that you didn't learn anything...so thanks Michelle. She also showed us how to make a really cute little box to hold a few pieces of candy...will have to have a go at it later.

I made this card using a Magnolia that arrived yesterday from Sweden. In the delivery I had lots of duplicates as I had been too impatient to wait....well at least they all went in a flash...and I managed to swap two of them for stamps that I didn't have already...so a bonus. Anyway, back to the card. I used Baking Tilda stamp, Autumn Leaves stamp for the ticket and Doodlebug Little Mini Simply Sweet alpha for "today is", Basic Grey "Phoebe" papers, DCWV scalloped cardstock, SU scalloped punch.
