Cute Card Thursday...a little late...

Last week over on Cute Card Thursday our challenge theme was "Charmed", we wanted to see your cards/projects featuring a charm...

So here was mine...

So I used a Gorjuss Girl stamp coloured with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all from the Gorjuss line and I used a sentiment from Craftwork Cards, an a quote stamp by Inkadinkado and embellished with buttons, bow and charm from the Gorjuss line too.

Cute Card Thursday - Blues and Hues!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Blog our theme is Blues and Hues...we want to see your creation using blue (or hues of blue) as the main colour...

The papers are all First Edition Neroli layered with some random blue Bazzill from my stash. I embellished with a Inkindinkado Quote stamp, I made the tag using a stamps and a tag punch, a CraftTime paper flower and some blue bling.

I made this one last week for my Niece Hannah's 13th Birthday. I coloured the image to look like her and Georgia. As before the image is by Saturated Canary and is called Best Friends Selfie which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all My Minds Eyes Find Your Wings & Fly, Up & Away layered with some random cardstock from my stash. I have embellished with a doily, and some washi tape, a Penny Black sentiment and I made the banner from twine and washi tape and added some Tim Holtz letters. I finished off by adding an old Heidi Swapp bling frame around the image.

Been doing some more colouring this week...so hopefully more cards soon.

The Birthday Girl...

We had a birthday in the Sears household this week...Georgia turned 12 on Friday....So here is the card I made her...

The papers are all by First Edition from the Neroli 6x6 paper pad and layered with some cardstock from my stash...usually Bazzill. I have embellished with a doily some old Heidi Swapp bling (the circle), AC Thickers, Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers and a Hero Arts sentiment stamp.

Georgia was really pleased with the card (coloured to look like her and her cousin Hannah)...she even took a photo and added it to InstaGram for her friends to see....

PostPals...

So on Friday I talked here about Post Pals...sending cards to sick kids. Well here is a card I made for one of them...

I just adore this image by Krista @ Saturated Canary, it's called Best Friends Selfie...and it's totally my fave image at the moment....I love how versatile it is...kids, teens, adults....everyone loves a Selfie!

So I have used Copics and coloured the image in the young lady at Post Pals favourite colours...Lime, Pink and any shade of blue.

I have embellished with a doily, some bling, Tim Holtz chit chat stickers and a couple of stamps (hello & smile).

This weekend I just need to write a lovely note to go inside for the young lady, and mail with yesterdays card that is for her younger brother.

Cute Card Thursday - Handmade Embellishments!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is Handmade Embellishments. As I was making a boy card I kept them pretty simple...

I made this card to send to a sick child via Post Pals...I found out about Post Pals via a Facebook Group called Jellypark Post Pals. The images are drawn by Claire Keay and once you have used an image to make a card for one of the kids, she will send you the next stamp (there are five in total). It's such a worthy cause and a lovely way to brighten up a sick childs day.

So back to the card details. As I said the image is by Jellypark and I have coloured it with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all My Minds Eye Six by Six Away We Go and I have layered them with some Bazzill Kraft Cardstock. For the handmade embellishment part of the challenge I created the metal bling with a hole punch and some mirror cardstock and also added stars made with a Nestabilities die and a handcut arrow. The sentiment is from a Pink Paislee set.

Dropped off the face of the Earth...

I am not sure if I was missed....but I am back after a nasty cough that just wouldn't go...turned into a bit of an infection...anyway I am finally back to almost 100%...probably about 90% health..

So I thought I would share only the third card I have made since the end of January...

The papers are all American Craft Hip Hip Hooray layered with some random red cardstock. I embellished making some bunting from washi tape and twine, and added an AC Flair badge "Hi", and a Inkadinkado Quote sentiment stamp.

I did make a couple of Baby cards while I was away so will show you those over the next couple of days..

I hope to be back more regularly from now on...but Sea Cadets are back boating for the Summer...so life tends to get a little hectic.

It's Been a While...

So I am finally back, Blogging took a back seat to life in general...and of course Christmas.

So a late Happy New Year to you all, I hope 2014 brings you everything you wish for.

This week our theme is So Sweet. The main image if my card is a Stamping Bella Uptown Girl called Bianca Loves her Big Cake. I have coloured it with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all American Crafts Dear Lizzy "Lucky Charm" and I have layered them with Bazzill cardstock in kraft and pink (don't know the shade of pink though...) I have embellished with a sentiment stamp my Inkadinkado, added a doily and a cupcake paperclip. For the cake frosting I added some puffy paint and the filling is Stickles.

To make the card sparkle a little more I added some AC glitter glue to the star and used a Sakura clear glitter gel pen to the straw.

Saturated Canary Challenge...Alter It!!

This week over on the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog we have a new Alter It Challenge. The title is pretty self explanatory...but just in case...we want you to Alter something...

I am pretty please with the results and Georgia is over the moon...she has claimed it as her own...

Saturated Canary by Little Darling Stamps

Here is a card made with one of the new Saturated Canary images called Cherry on Top available as a stamp by Little Darling Rubber Stamps. I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all Best Creations Sixteen Candles layered with some Bazzill Cardstock. I have cut around the edge of the cupcake on one of the papers to slide the stamped image under it. The sentiment is an Inkadinkado Quote Stamp  and I have added some SU seam binding, a couple of heart pins and a tab using an SU punch.

Saturated Canary - Colouring Technique Challenge

This week over on the Saturated Canary Challenge our theme is Colouring Technique Challenge....either dotted background, cloudy sky or faint lines colouring.....I chose faint lines colouring.

For my card I have used the Ava (a former freebie image now available in the shop for just $2 - bargain!). To print the faint line version I opened the image in PS Elements and changed the opacity of the image from 100% to 34% (try different percentages until you are happy). I then coloured her with Copics using the following colours...

Stamping Bella - Uptown Girls

Here is a card I made using another of the Stamping Bella Uptown Girls, this one is called Opal the Optimist and I have stamped her using Memento Ink in Summer Sky onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock and coloured with Copics using the following colours...

I have kept this card very simple just using three small scraps of paper and a small scrap of cardstock. The papers are all by Echo Park Birthday Girl Mini Theme Kit. The banner was cut from one of the pieces of paper in the collection and I added a couple of sentiment stamps the main one being by Inkadinkado from their quote stamp range, and the fabulous one is be Hero Arts. I also created a cocktail glass out of bling to finish off.

My Dad's 70th Birthday Card...

Not the best photo in the world...but then it was taken on the back seat of the car as we pulled up at my Dad's house on Saturday morning...

The Beer Monster has also had googly eyes added...trust me my Dad had eyes just like those when his birthday party was over on Saturday...
