It is that time of year, between holidays of gratefulness and giving, I'm feeling blessed for all that I have with my family and friends. And I'm feeling I have something to give.
As you all know, I closed my classroom site this year. Even though I spent untold hours developing all those classes, here I sit with all that good stuff lingering on my computer.
Some of my "cloth side of me" friends are discovering Inktense Pencils and trying them out for the first time. While following their progress, I kept thinking about how they might enjoy my Inktense Faces of Fabric class which as you know I pulled from the Tree Castle Apron class. I thought at the very least, they might pick up a useful tip or two. So I decided to share.
But then I thought, "heck, they might enjoy the whole big class, apron and all".
Therefore; I'm here today to tell you that I will be posting all the Tree Castle Apron class at my blog, The Cloth Side of Me. My season gift to you. It is free to anyone.
Today I posted a preview of the who, what, where, and when about this at The Cloth Side of Me. Pop over and see.
Note: the videos will only be viewable at that blog and they are not downloadable.

ANNOUNCEMENT
All Norah'S Art, my Ning classroom network will be closing July 31, 2015.
Before that happens, I want to offer all of my current online classes at a huge discount starting now!
All classes are discounted at least 50 percent. You can access class information by clicking on the page buttons above or by visiting my classroom network: All Norah'S Art.
*************************************
I have made a huge decision about my Ning classroom network.
You may or may not know that Ning has and is changing their ways.
I have had plenty notice of this and plenty of time to consider what I wanted to do.
However, the decision has been very hard to make.
Big decisions are always hard for me and I typically swing back and forth from to-do or not-to-do.
Even though I have had many great ideas for new workshop offerings, I just haven't had the energy or I should say passion to go forth with them.
I have finally realized that this decision hanging over my head is stifling my energy.
So, once and for all, I made the decision to give up my Ning network at my annual renewal day of July 31, 2015.
I decided to go out with a bang!
A bang of offering all the classes for the next several months for a huge discount.
You will find all of the class descriptions and paypal buttons on the Main page of All Norah'S Art, as well as, here on my blog pages.
You can click on the class buttons in the top page heading or by clicking on the picture icon of each class in the right sidebar.

Audio about Signatures
While changing all the paypal buttons and making sure the classrooms were in order, I came across a bit of audio that I added at the end of one of my favorite classes, Faces In Collage.
I'm sharing this snip of audio today with you because it is something that I feel really strong about.
(hopefully, the audio embed works)
If you are reading in a reader, you may need to click over to the blog to see and play the audio.

Important change announcement
I will be brief with this important information.
As you may or may not know, Ning, the site where I host my online classes, has announced
changes.
In addition to various formatting changes, they announced a new pricing structure based on number of members. The formatting changes give me some concern as to the way I present my classes; however, I am more concerned about the new cost to me as the creator of allnorahsart.ning.
First, let me say, I love my class site and I am not moving from Ning. I am committed to staying at least one more year to see how it all works out.
I'm sharing this for the following reasons:
To let you know
- all classes are still available and will be for at least one more year.
- I have purged all members who were not enrolled in a class.
- the home page is invisible and not accessible unless you are enrolled in a class.
- if you are interested in a class, click on the tab at the top or the class icon in the right sidebar of my blog for class information and paypal button.
Online CLASSES
I look forward to new students, so if you have been holding back because of the Ning changes, know that nothing is changing for me for at least one year.

Student Showcase
Just in case you were thinking that my Tree Castle Apron class is just about making an apron, Think Again!
I simply had to share this student's first piece with you this morning because I'm blown away.
Here is what she said when she posted this in the class Gallery:
This painting is a technique that I demonstrate using Inktense watercolor pencils on muslin. It's not all about making a beautiful apron. The class includes nearly 2 hours of face painting instruction.
I'm just one proud teacher this morning. As soon as I do my morning walk, I will continue with more MorningART videos.

Hi Sharon , I was stuck in my studio today keeping my dogs out of trouble with the telephone man! He was here for several hours??? Darn the bad luck ...so I just had to play art with you! LOL This is somewhere between # two and # three face videos when I lost internet and just went on playing by myself and the dogs!Stephani first signed up for "Faces in Technicolor" at the end of last September. Then in October she signed up for "Faces: All Norah'S". She had never painted faces before.

New Class Face Painting Example
Yes Good Friday Morning!!!!
I am beside myself with excitement because it is Friday and tomorrow is Saturday and the next day is Sunday! (weekend)
Here's why. Last night probably about 9:30 while in the chair zone with some nonsense on the screen, a little snag of inspiration popped right up and out. My first thought was, "I have to sketch this before I forget." Second thought, "on what?" Then, I remembered the new supply of 12 X 12 canvases that I ordered at the beginning of the year. I jumped up and fetched one along with a piece of charcoal all the time thinking how proud I was of myself for listening to the whisper. That is what it is, you know. Inspiration is a whisper.
This morning I bounced out of bed way early because she was waiting. Love my early morning art time with that kind of excitement and a sketch waiting.
I thought about doing a "Morning Art" video but I was too anxious to start painting. I plan on getting back to those morning videos now that I have conquered my new camera and editing.
So, top on my weekend list is to paint and paint and paint my new canvas. Sorry, I can't show you until I finish cause I didn't take any progression photos.
I did take progression
photos of this
"Queen of her Tree Castle"
on the left which is
an example of the
face painting that
I'm teaching in my
new class,
Tree Castle Apron
a mixed media face
painting and collage

Did you notice that

new class right up
