Girly

Time for a new challenge at One Stitch at a Time and this week it's Girly.

I used Delicious Doodle's Astrology  Scorpio digi stamp which I coloured with my Promarkers:

I teamed it with patterned papers, some gemstone flourishes and a large layered flower cut with Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die.

Vintage Heart

This week at Sweet Pea Stamps it's our Featured Artist Week and this month the DT are featuring the gorgeous artwork of one of the newest additions to the roster of Sweet Pea artists, Charity Dauenhauer. I chose to work with this beautiful stamp called Vintage Heart:

I love the mix of steampunk, fantasy and romance in this image - just perfect for a Valentine's card, actually. ;) I coloured the image with a mixture of Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils and carefully cut around it.

I decorated my card with papers in warm tones (and continuing the heart/romance theme ;D) and textured gold mirri card. I added some delicate vintage lace and layered the image over it using foam tape.

I love the warm glow that this textured mirri card gives when the light hits it.

This stamp is available in red rubber or digi format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store.

Use a Digi

Time for a new challenge at One Stitch at a Time and this week it's "Use a Digi". To enter the challenge you need to use a digi element somewhere on your creation - that could be a digi stamp, digi papers, even a computer-generated sentiment.

For my card I used this fabulously cute and sassy "Anna Mae Party Bunny Girl" digi stamp by Scrapper's Delight.

Isn't she fab? I love her cute and manga style. I coloured her with my Promarkers and gave her some quirky pink hair. :)

I seem to be on a bit of a pink and blue craze in my cards lately and this one is no exception. I used some pretty patterned papers and a die-cut frame (cut from sparkly pink card) and embossed a panel of card to fit inside the frame.

I finished things off with some little dots of Perlen Pen.

You don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to enter the OSAAT challenges but if you do you'll be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Entries not using a Stitchy Bear product will be entered into the draw to win a $3 gift voucher for the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.

With Love

Valentine's Day will soon be upon us and the challenge theme at One Stitch at a Time this week is naturally all about love... :) To enter our challenge, make a project using the theme "With Love" - you can interpret that however you like.

For my card this week I used this pretty digi stamp by My Heart Pieces called Beautiful Nature:

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and used a white gel pen to add highlights:

I cut the image out using my favourite decorative oval die and kept my card fairly simple with some patterned papers in toning colours and a length of decorative canvas ribbon.

Nothern Nightfall

For my Sweet Pea Stamps creation this week I am using an image from one of my all-time favourite Sweet Pea artists - Ching Chou Kuik. I just love her beautiful, stylised women and the fabulous detail in her drawings. Her work has a real sense of mystery, and often melancholy, to it.

This digi stamp is one I hadn't worked with before, called Northern Nightfall:

I coloured this image with my Promarkers in soft pastel colours. I just love the little unicorn in this image. :)

I mixed pale blue cardstock with pastel pink shabby chic-style paper for my card and added decoration with a length of lacy ribbon, some die-cut leafy flourishes and lots of pretty little flowers.

You can find this gorgeous image in red rubber or digi format in the Sweet Pea Stamps store.

Anything Goes

We're giving you free rein this week at One Stitch at a Time with our ever-popular Anything Goes challenge. It does exactly what it says on the tin - make anything you like, no limits! :)

For my card I've used this cute Boo Boo Bee digi stamp by Stitchy Stamps.

I coloured the image using my Promarkers:

And I kept my card fairly simple with some sparkly yellow paper and some honeycomb embossing on my cardstock panels.

You don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to enter the OSAAT challenge but if you do you'll be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Entries without a Stitchy Bear product will be entered into a draw to win a $3 git voucher for the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.

Amelia

Helena Reis is one of the newer additions to the fabulous range of artists whose stamps you can buy from Sweet Pea Stamps and I love her cute yet quirky style. This week I chose to work with one of her recent releases, this adorable stamp called Amelia:

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and added a couple of highlights here and there with a white gel pen. The oval frame of the image makes it perfect to cut out ready for use on a card.

I decorated my card with patterned papers in pretty pastel colours and added some lengths of ribbon and lace and some die-cut leafy flourishes:

To finish I dotted a border with a pearl white Perlen Pen.

All of Helena's lovely stamps are available in red rubber or digi format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store.

White + 1

This week's challenge at One Stitch at a Time is one to hopefully make you get creative and think outside the box... the theme is White + 1. So on your project you can use only white and one other colour (and also skin colour - that's allowed). It's harder than you might think! :)

For my card I was using this cute and sassy MeowMe digistamp by BBKakes:

I coloured in the image with my Promarkers using only skin tones and shades of orange and then carefully cut her out:

I trimmed a panel of white card to fit my card blank and die-cut a decorative aperture in the centre before embossing the entire panel (the pattern reminded me of tiger stripes) and blending a little Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink around the edges.

I attached the panel to my card front and added some die-cut leafy flourishes and attached my cut-out image over the aperture using foam tape. To finish I dotted some Perlen Pen around the aperture.

You don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to enter our challenge but if you do, you'll have a chance to win our main prize for this week. Entries not using a Stitchy Bear product will be entered into the draw to win a $3 gift voucher for the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.

Use a Digi

Time for another challenge at One Stitch at a Time and this week we are asking you to Use a Digi. That could be a digi stamp, digi papers, even a computer-printed sentiment. Or heck, your entire creation could be a digi one, if you want! :)

For my card this week I've used this sweet Fairy GunGun digistamp by My Heart Pieces:

I coloured this pretty little fairy using my Promarkers...

...and teamed her with some gorgeous floral papers and die-cuts that came free with a crafting magazine:

The challenge runs for a week and, as ever, you don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to enter but those who do will be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Entries without a Stitchy Bear product will have the chance to win a $3 gift voucher to the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.

Whoops!

Things have been kerrr-azy busy here lately and consequently I am running a teensy bit late with this post - whoops!

Anyhoo, after our epic 4 week long challenge over the holidays, One Stitch At A Time is back with a new challenge for the new year and the theme is - Starting New. :)

For my card I used Ike's Art's fabulous New Fairy digi stamp:

I coloured her in with my Promarkers and carefully cut her out:

I teamed her with some lovely seasonal Graphic45 paper (a freebie with a magazine) and layered her over a large blossom (I liked the idea of the fairy sitting on a flower) along with a piece of chiffony ribbon. For a final touch I and added some lovely shimmer and sparkle to her wings with some Stickles:

We are back to our weekly challenge schedule now so you have until Saturday evening (UK time) to submit your entry. Don't forget, you don't need to use a Stitchy Bear product to win but if you do you'll be in with a chance of winning our main prize. Rebecca Sinz's Wither

It's Variations Week once again at Sweet Pea Stamps, where all the Design Team get to create with the same image. This month we are using Rebecca Sinz's gorgeous Wither:

I love Rebecca's gothic women and this pretty stamp is no exception. I coloured her with my Promarkers and cut her out using a decorative oval frame:

I used some vintage style papers for my card and finished things off with some delicate flowers...

....and some Perlen Pen flourishes:

This stamp is available in red rubber or digi format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store.
