WOYWW 163

Another wet and windy Wednesday is upon us (okay, so it's pretty early in the am and I'm assuming that's how the weather's gonna be when I get up but, let's face it, based on recent experience the odds are in my favour!) and it's time to brighten up your day by taking a spin around crafty desks the world over!

Not much to share on my desk I am afraid. I have actually just finished up a card but seeing as it's a DT one, I can't really share it with you just yet. Darn.

So instead, to add a bit of interest to this week's photo, I've dumped on my desk a few pretty new craft purchases for you to nosey at:

A bunch of U-Mount, to mount more of my ever-increasing stack of Sweet Pea Stamps. A set of Andy Skinner stamps, a funky new Sizzix stamp and emboss set, and another Sizzix die, and a few random packs of embellies.

I do also have something else to share with you this week, although it's not something tangible that can sit on my desk. Instead, it's some exciting news. I've actually known for a while but things were a bit too crazy busy last week for me to get chance to blog about it so I thought I'd do it today instead...

I've been invited to join the Design Team at the One Stitch at a Time challenge blog. :D

I looooove Stitchy Bear digi stamps (you may have seen me wittering on about them previously on this blog) and am thrilled to bits to join such a friendly, creative team - and to get to play even more with these fab images! So expect to see plenty more of Stitchy Bear's images cropping up on my blog.

That's it from me. My bed beckons and it's a busy day tomorrow as I've a good friend and her two little ones coming to stay for a couple of days... so there's gonna be 4 kids aged 3 and under in the house! Eeep! :)

Sooo cute!

I've picked up some really cute new toys to play with recently...

My Stampin' Up! order arrived this week and I am already in love with this awesome pennant builder punch:

I had to have a quick play with it and I literally grabbed the nearest two pieces of scrap paper on my desk and punched em and just look how fab it looks! Expect to see a lot more bunting on my cards/pages in the near future!

And thanks to this thread over at UKS, I've ended up making a special trip into Leeds today to visit the Muji store and pick up some of these adorable little items which are just perfect for altering!!

This is the Paris City in a Box set:

And I also picked up the London and New York ones:

And then there's the pen organisers... I got New York:

And Paris and Tokyo:

That's what I went there intending to buy... I also somehow managed to come away with a couple of kraft notebooks, this cute 3D postcard (I'm going to alter the butterfly and then use the card it comes in as a stencil to make more of the same! :D):

And this cute little set of "build a face" stamps which I think will be great fun for art journal pages. :)

Now all I need is a few more hours in the day so I can have time to play with all my new goodies!

GNPE Goodies!!

I went to the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza in Harrogate yesterday. I did a fabulous workshop with Art From The Heart (more on that later), watched some great demos (incl. Barbara Gray at Clarity Stamps who was lots of fun) and shopped my little heart out! :D There were sooooo many lovely goodies available on so many different stalls and I came home with a whole heap of yummy new stash!!

Umm. I had to stand on a chair to be able to fit all this lot into shot!

Here's what I got:
Some Tim Holtz stamps...

...some more stamps...

...and even more stamps!!... and some mini-canvases and some paper flowers.

Some glue and DST, a Tim Holtz die, some embossing powders, foil flakes, pearl brads and card candy.
Why is it that I never knew that Cosmic Shimmer also do embossing powders?!! Lush! :D

Some A3 paper (for making envelopes) and some pearlised A4 card.

Some Distress Ink pads and a sparkly Versamark pad.

Lots and lots of pretty bottles! :) Oh and some jump-rings for my CJ project...

There are Adirondack Colour Washes, Distress Reinkers and some Alcohol Ink...

...and there's a whole bunch of the yummy Dylusions ink sprays (a couple of them micas)
that we used in the AFTH workshop.

Some sticky-backed canvas, some templates, and some ribbons.

Lots and lots of srcummy Tim Holtz Idea-ology goodies!

Oooh and yet more Tim Holtz Idea-ology stuff!

Some Nestabilities sets.
The Nesties were 4 for £50! Talk about bargainous! :)

My only problem now is where on earth to put all this stuff! I'm definitely going to have to reorganise my clear stamp storage as it was already pretty much at capacity!

Can't to get in my craft room and start having a proper play with all this stuff. :)

Oooh it's like Christmas!

Today has been stash heaven!!

I've placed a few orders over the past few days and, through random chance, they've *all* been delivered today! I've had UPS, FedEx, Parcelforce and good old Royal Mail bringing me goodies today!

I got four different parcels today!

I got my order of U-Mount, so I've finally been able to mount the rest of my Sweet Pea stamps tonight! :)

I got my Melting Pot and beeswax so, when I get chance, I can finally have a go at the gorgeous beeswax technique featured in February's Craft Stamper magazine:

I got my order of various texture gels so I can have a go at the stunning masterboard idea also in this month's Craft Stamper mag, and have a play with some other ideas too:

And finally, I got my stonking great Stampin' Up! order (including a bunch of freebie stamps) which I just cannot *wait* to have a play with!

I spent a happy evening tonight unpacking all of these goodies - all I need now is the TIME to closet myself away in my craft room and play with all my new toys and try all these new techniques! :)

Hee! New stamp...

I happened to come across this stamp whilst browsing in Hobbycraft today and I just HAD to have it!

This is SO getting used for a birthday card for my mum in January (it's so totally her sense of humour!).... :D :D :D

I love the vintage picture and style of it... combined with the humorous tagline. :D
