This is not a joke...
A boy actually stopped calling to ask me out because apparently, I have
WEIRD EYES.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Good. He wasn't man enough to handle the Coloboma. :)
I knew he wasn't the one for me even BEFORE I found this out.
We really just weren't compatible. Hope you enjoyed that laugh as much as I did. :)

GRATITUDE March 19, 2010
Today I am grateful for:
- This morning's drive to work. It was a little overcast, and I loved the way the sun broke through the clouds and I saw actual sunbeams! Reminds me how the light always breaks through the dark. :)
- Not every day, but some days I see a man riding a bike who looks like Santa Clause. Except he's wearing a helmet, pink jacket, tall socks, and has American Flags on the back of his bicycle. I can't help but smile when I see him!
- Yet ANOTHER trip to Yogurtland last night (Yes that makes 3X this week!) with two of my favorite girls - Candace and Stephanie.
- MARCH MADNESS! I have never filled out a bracket before but boy is it fun to follow! :)
- $7.50 salad/soup combos for lunch at Sauce.
- The fact that when I woke up today I was actually motivated to get to work and get cranking knowing that at the end of the day, its the WEEKEND! :)

GRATITUDE March 18, 2010
Today I am grateful for:
- The smell of grass, flowers and Spring - I love that the nights are getting warmer! I can handle 85 degrees ANY DAY! I love Arizona.
- Meeting a new friend from church to potentially move in with.
- Yogurtland - I LOVE FRO YO! I've already been 2X this week and I know the workers' names :)
- Waking up to beautiful sunshine in my room and not feeling mad that I have to get up. (This sometimes happens as I never sleep enough.)
- A little bit of vacation to look forward to: March 25-29: Columbus to see Ellen, Dan, Amelia and meet new baby Luke!
- Listening to good uplifting Christian music on Pandora
- Realizing that I do not know the future but feeling peace knowing that God does and will lead to me to where I need to be in life like He ALWAYS has.

GRATITUDE
For some reason, Monday was a hard day for me and I was feeling a little discouraged. Nothing bad happened, I think I just let myself focus on the negative instead of the positive. That night I read a great article in the Ensign about how expressing your gratitude can help you overcome those discouraging thoughts.
So here it is! I'm going to attempt to write 5 things I'm grateful for every day.
I know what you're thinking - "Ya right, Alisha write on her blog EVERY DAY?" I just got inspired by two of my co-workers, Katelin and Kristina who do this regularly.
Ok so maybe it won't happen, but I will definitely try. And I'm sure it will be the best thing I can do for myself.

- I am grateful for those moments when you realize Heavenly Father truly is looking out for you by the small moments of reassurance that you feel.
- I am grateful for my faith in God and in my Savior.
- I am grateful for my wonderful parents, 3 sisters who are my best friends, the best 2 older brothers a girl could ask for and great in-laws. Oh and did I mention I have the cutest nieces and nephews EVER? :)
- I am grateful that my sister Sarah lives in the same city as me and I get to hang out with her. She has always given me great guidance on school, career, and dating. I love you Sis!
- I am grateful that Max calls me Boss-Wisha and will cuddle with me while watching TV.
- I am grateful for the huge smile that I get from Issey when she sees me and when she gets mad if I put her down.
- I am grateful for wonderful friends at work, at church, from my almost 3 years in AZ, from college and from high school. They are truly a blessing to me from my Father in Heaven! "Thy friends do stand by thee, and they shall hail thee again with warm hearts and friendly hands." D&C 121:9; "Ye are they whom the Father hath given me, ye are my friends." D&C 84:63
- I am grateful to work for such a great company, and that I love what I do. It makes my days enjoyable even though it's work :)
- I am grateful for my wonderful ward and for all of the truly inspiration people that I get to meet. There are both awesome girls AND guys. I haven't found that in a while.
- I am grateful for a healthy body that enables me to do all the things that I want to do. I feel very blessed that Heavenly Father has allowed me to come to this Earth to prove my worthiness to return to Him. I am definitely imperfect and need His help, but that is my ultimate goal.
