baby kate
Last week we had a shower for Danielle and her baby girl Katherine. We were getting nervous the few days before the shower because she was having really bad contractions but luckily she didn't have Kate until Sunday! I wish I had my camera at the hospital because Kate is so cute--she got here a few weeks early but is healthy and doing great. Congrats Ty & Dan!!

new years eve
I am one who has always thought that New Year's Eve is completely overrated. From someone who values sleep more than anything Id rather go to bed at 10pm then stay up until midnight just to say Happy New Year! But since Ive been married I have had the funnest New Years Eve's ever. I think its because you dont have to try hard to get all dolled-up and go to the coolest party in town...it is just low key and relaxing. This year was just that.
We first went over to my parents for a hot dog roast and games with my family....we had so much fun playing our favorite game, The Name Game, that our cousins taught us--it might even be a made up game??---but anyways its so fun and we always laugh so hard, and we also played Celebrity--thanks for teaching this to us Kim, we love it!
Then we went and met up with some of our Daybreak friends at the Willowcreek Country Club for a night of bowling on some awesome lanes! I havent been bowling there since I was little and it looked the exact same--straight from the 60's. We had to keep our own score and all. But we had so much fun and the time flew! Thanks for planning it Katie, we have to make it an annual tradition!

1st Annual Hogan Weenie Roast
The Sunday after Christmas Alan's family decided to have a weenie roast for Sunday dinner! Al's sister Malarie gave Al's dad a fire pit for Christmas and everyone was too excited to wait until the summer to use it. It really was so fun! We got in our snow clothes and roasted hot dogs, marshmallow's and drank hot chocolate around the fire.
Then of course we had to play in the snow! We teamed up guys against girls and had 15 minutes to build a fort for a snowball fight.
