4th of July

I don't know how many times I can say it but I loooove the 4th of July, along with the rest of America! :)

On the 3rd of July we went to Maddie & Jordan's for a BBQ and to watch the Riverton Parade.

Our 4th was super low key.  In the morning we took advantage of the day off of work by going running (me), cleaning (me again), and Al rode his bike from our house to my parents.  I met him there and we swam, BBQ'd, ate popsicles, and hung out on the front lawn - it couldn't have been more perfect!

Random iPhone Dump

Seeing as how January and February are the most boring and depressing months of the year, we didn't have much going on. But here are some of the random snapshots from my phone!

Meeting my newest nephew, Spencer Bagley Iverson! Love him and can't wait to meet him next week!

Can't forgot about older brother Joshy - I just want to squish him!
Soo grateful for FaceTime!

Humungo icicle on our house

Jack loves Gramps and always want to copy him!

Dinner at Pop on Over Cafe with The Bagley's!

Craft night with the girls! Thanks Court for the fun night!

Went a little overboard with the Super Bowl treats!

My cousin Allison is getting married in March so my Grandma, mom and aunts threw her such a fun shower at The Lion House

I love Valentines decor this year for some reason, I went a little overboard as the month went one!
One night me and my friend, Megan, decided to randomly make these from Pinterest! They took for.ev.er but turned out really cute!

For Valentines we went to Takashi, City Creek and the Jazz game a few nights before, and then the night of we went to our FAV - Pizzeria Limone and got a Red Box, the perfect night if you ask me! I also came home to a deep cleaned house and flowers thanks to Al, he obviously knows the way to my OCD heart! :)

Jack turned 2!!
I can't believe how big he is getting.
I love him sooo much and his party was so fun. He just face-planted his cake for each bite, it was so funny.  And he loved the guitar that me and Al gave him! He loved blowing out his candles so we lit them up a few times for him to blow out!

At Sunday dinner Sawyer wanted Al to teach him all about Star Wars, it was so cute listening to Sawyer get so excited about all the characters names!

New Years Eve Skiing

Let's preface this by saying that I hadn't gone skiing since elementary, no joke. But Meg, Jon, Katie and my dad had gone skiing a few weeks prior but I couldn't go because of work and I felt a little left out! :) So we decided to go skiing on New Years Eve! I was a little nervous since I had no clue what to do, but I couldn't wait. I rented my stuff, borrowed my dad's old ski clothes and we headed up to Brighton.

This was a total accidental pic I found on my phone at the end of the day! Looking nervously out the window on our way up!

Waaa! So cold/nervous/excited! I HATE chair lifts, they freak me out, I can't look down.

It was a FREEZING (like literally 5 degrees) day - but so clear and beautiful.

The first run was hilarious, Jon took us on a more advanced run and Meg and I basically sat on our bums and scooted our way down! :) But after that we were okay and had a blast - I am not good by any means, but I could at least make it down the hill in one piece, while having fun and not crying the whole way down!

It was such a fun day and it made me want to go again so I can actually maybe become a decent skier one day?!

After freezing to death on the slopes we went to my parents and stayed in jammies all night warming our numb toes by the fire, roasting hot dogs and mallows, and playing Bingo with the fam with amazing prizes from my parents!

I dare to say that this year might have been my favorite New Years Eve yet! Here's to a great 2013!

Christmas!

Christmas Eve was so fun this year - I had to work until about 2pm and then went straight to The Hogan's for an amazing dinner, games and gifts.

Later that night we went up to my parents for games by the fire!

When we got home we stayed up all night watching The Santa Clause by the tree, our favorite movie to watch on Christmas Eve!

Christmas morning we slept in then headed up to my parents to open presents and stockings there, then we went over to Grandma Lou's for her annual brunch. I look forward to this all year long - there is SO MUCH FOOD and it is all soo good! :) And I love that the entire extended family comes.

Just a small handful of all the girl cousins

After Grandma Lou's we went down to The Hogan's for even more food, games, and playing with all our Christmas toys!

I don't know who is more excited about the light-sabers - Al or Sawyer?!

I am slightly obsessed with the Christmas season, I literally watch at least 20 Christmas movies over the month, try to do as many Christmas activities as possible, etc, so I am always so sad for it to end. Can't wait for next year!

Decembering

I looove December! Fun activities all month long!

Our December activities started the day after Thanksgiving when we went with my dad to pick out a tree for their house. I love real trees - it is so fun to pick them out, smell the fresh, pine, etc. I don't think I could ever do a fake tree.

All loaded up!

Al and my dad doing the hard working of stringing the lights!

Another FAVORITE tradition, that started last year, is our Cousin's Christmas Night. We get together with all the girls, Whit teaches us some yoga in a dark room to relax us before the holidays, we have delicious food, and exchange our favorite things by candle light - it is such a fun night!

One night, Al and I went down to the Shops at Riverwoods - it is so much fun at Christmastime! Lights, Santa, a huge tree, Waffle Love, live music!

Aunt Polly's "Christmas Eve" (or night before Christmas Eve!) truly is my favorite party of the year and I look forward to it all year long! Her house is so cozy and warm, the food is amazing, we play games, laugh and stay all night!

Playing The Name Game

The Cool Name Game Group

I got together with my DG friends for dinner at Settabello and a white elephant exchange at Court's, it was so fun having everyone in town and getting together with the whole group, love you girls!
