Presidents Day

We took Cole to his first LA Kings game. Alex stayed home with Uncle Ryan.
We had a dinner at El Cholo.  The waiter kept bringing Wyatt regular Coke on accident so Al ended up with 3 Cokes at once.
The food was yummy and the company was great. We love the Dannels family and hope they don't move after Dental school.

It was our friend Ryan's birthday and we were lucky enough to celebrate with him in a suite at the Kings game.  We were laughing at this picture because Al is standing so far away from me...lol
Free Kings Beanies, yeah!!
On Saturday morning I went to the Rose Bowl with Ashlee and Cole.  When I got home I found Al and Alex like this.  I was dying because Alex never falls asleep.  He's been waking up around 5 or 6am and turning his light on and just hanging out until I go get him at 7, funny kid.
Saturday we took a trip to Long Beach to check out some guns, Al's new obsession.
On our way home we stopped at El Porto Beach.  It was Cole's first time in the sand and he loved it as you can see below.  I was dying when I took these pictures, so funny.
Could he be any cuter.  Babies are the best.

I'm scared to death to take Alex and Cole to the beach by myself this summer.  Al distracted Alex with the sand for about 40 minutes until he wanted to play in the water.  After 20 minutes in the water we had to leave. He needs a swim lessons and a wetsuit.  It was the perfect February beach day.
Cole had a blowout at the beach. Thank goodness I packed extra diapers.
That night we took Ryan to dinner of his choice at Outback Steakhouse.  The cheese fries with bacon bits, 2000 calories!!

Snacks at church with Alex.
Sunday night dinner was one of Alex's favorites, pasta with red sauce.  Al said he's going to serve a mission in Italy because all he wants to eat is pizza and pasta.  It amazes me how much he will eat when it's something he loves.  Too bad that doesn't include vegetables.
It was a fun weekend.  Thanks for coming to visit Ryan even if it was just for Frisbee Golf :)

Valentines Day 2013

I need to remember to buy Cole and Alex matching shirts next year.  We are lacking in the red shirt department.  I love Cole's belly in this picture
My brother Ryan was visiting us from Utah.  I took advantage of him and took him to all the places I never go with kids.  Our first stop was Ikea.  We had lunch in the cafe and I will never eat there again, so sick. I would rather eat one of their hot dogs downstairs.
Ryan watched the boys for us so we could go out to dinner for Valentines Day, bonus!!
Love that Al, he's kind of a big deal.
We didn't have dinner reservations until 8:30pm and had 30 minutes to kill so why not stop at Target!!  Al thought it would be funny to pick out clothes for me and play Dress Your Valentine?
I posted this picture on Instagram and some people thought I was serious about this outfit. So hot, right?
Our dinner was long and late.  We were both yawning by the time we got seated at 9pm which is usually my bedtime.  We didn't get our food until 10pm and we were both over it...lol   How old and boring are we?  We will stick to our 6pm kid dinner time.
The restaurant we had dinner at was Cafe Beaujolais.  The French food was delicious and hopefully next time we will get to enjoy it more.  Happy Happy Valentines Day Al.

Pre V Day Fun

Cute little Cole in his red for Valentines Day.  The shirt is barely wide enough for him and it's the first time he wore it :(
Alex hasn't been taking his naps everyday which makes me very nervous since he ended his 2 naps a day right at 11 months.  Please Please take naps for 1 more year Alex.  I found him on top of his dresser with the light on the other day.  Luckily I outsmarted him and turn on the lamp by hand now.
Jenny had the cutest Valentines party at her house.  Coloring, Treats, Tattoos, a special Valentine Madagascar movie.  The kids were in heaven.
Not an easy task to hold two children.  I have sympathy for moms with twins.
All 14 kids lined up watching the movie.
Alex getting a tattoo
The classic Alex face, squint the eyes
Sushi date with Dad and the boys.  Alex refuses to sit in a highchair or booster and usually just stands when we go out.
My little Lover Cole
To end the night we had a glow stick bath party.  Alex was loving it and didn't want to get out.  I put one around Cole's neck for a good laugh.

Busy Days

A couple weeks ago Al was out of town for work.  We had to get creative with our time.  Typical morning which are very busy. They start with feeding Cole and Alex, putting Cole down for his nap, laundry, cleaning, trying to shower.  The list goes on.
Trying to teach Alex to smile for the camera
Alex just learned how to take pictures with my phone.  Sometimes it comes in handy because it will occupy him for a bit but later my battery will be dead and I have hundreds of pictures I have to delete.
He doesn't really eat a lot of veggies (corn doesn't count) so he drinks green smoothies with me and loves them.
How I miss nap time with just Alex because I would usually nap with him.  I'm still trying to get Cole to nap in his crib, but right now it's only for about 45 minutes to an hour.  However if I put him on our bed and sit next to him he will sleep for 3 hours.  I don't get it.
Al's parents were kind enough to bring Alex's jeep and kitchen all the way from Utah.  He's in heaven.
Cole sat in the Bumbo for the first time and loved it.
The roundest rolliest baby around.
Funny Face
We met some friends at Jump N Jammin.
We found out it was National Pancake Day and decided we should go to IHOP with the rest of Los Angeles.
Cheers to Pancakes
Alex giving his friend Saige a hug, so sweet.
