2 More Days and Counting

I'm soooo excited to see Twilight on Friday and I know Albert secretly is too. He has been trying to play it off, but he always asks me questions about Vampires and Werwolves or the latest one who did Bella pick. We would try to attend the midnight showing on Thursday, but that is way past our bedtime these days. Did I mention movies are $10.50 here?? After all this money I put into the penny slots and this is the way Vegas repays me. Unbelivable

Who Am I Sir

We decided at the last minute to go to U game in San Diego. We drove Friday night and ended up staying at my Uncle Johns house. We got to see all their kids including their cute new baby Cassidy Scarlett. I didnt get a picture of them while we were there, so I stole this picture off Christines blog. They are the cutest family.

We made it to San Diego Saturday morning and met up with our friends at the Tractor Room for breakfast. Here is a picture of Ross and his famous pose.

The breakfast was amazing. The pancake could have fed a small country. We now know why Americans are obese.

After eating ourselves to death we went to La Jolla shores beach. It was soooo nice to be in 80 degree weather in the middle of November. We saw a sand sculpter making some weird creation and then we watched a wedding on the beach in our swimsuits. Life doesnt get much better then that.

Our beach time went fast along with our tans. I think the lady that took the above picture was blinded from our white bodies. I tried to tell Al I was sick and needed to stay at the beach for fresh ocean air. He was on to me and made me put on my game face. Thank goodness I love Football.

The game was great. We got to hang out with all our friends and sing the Utah songs. It brought back so many fun memories of going to the games with my college friends.

Word must have gotten out that I was going to be there. I found all these pictures from the paparazzi.

The Utes killed San Diego and won by a measely 49 points. Its on with BYU. They are going down. Who am I Sir...A UTAH MAN AM I. GO UTES!!

ABRA CA DABRA

This past weekend Albert and I decided to act like tourists on the strip and take pictures of random stuff. I havent been to the M&M factory since 2001 and Ive been telling Al how amazing it is to see all the beautiful M&M colors you dont normally see in a regular bag. It would have been really cool to buy a bag of them, but at $12 a pound I was over it.

After the dissappointment at the M&M factory we continued our way down the strip where we found all sorts of exciting things. Day and night are pretty much the same on the strip, however at night its so much clearer when the signs are all lit up.
This picture is a little blurry, but I think you get the idea

If you are a suscriber to my blog you will remember when I talked about staying away from the guys with lots of 6&9s on their shirts. Al must have not read that blog entry.

Al also saw a 7-11 right on the strip and thought his entrepreneur friend Brian should purchase it. We'd like to give a shout out to Brian in Texas. This pic is for you One Eye.

Saturday was another exciting day when we went to the Red Rock casino. Al dissappeared to the sports book and I sat down at a penny slot machine where I won $7. For those of you that think slots never pay out are wrong. Hard work and dedication pays off. Next weekend Im going to double that.

My favorite event of the week was the Steve Wyrick magic show at Planet Hollywood with our new friends Bonnie and Jarom.

The show was awesome. Magician Wyrick made a helicopter, motorcycle, and airplane appear. Al wanted to impress me more then Steve, so he showed me this trick. ABRA CA DABRA

I was sooooo impressed. How amazing is a bunny appearing in a hat. My husband is the coolest!! Maybe if your lucky he will show you too:)

Life is Good

I've recently been trying to develop my homemaking skills. We got invited to a young couple dessert party and I knew this was a chance to let myself shine. I wanted to impress our new potential friends and I knew there was only one person to call about this important event. The young and beautiful Stacy Moss!!
If you dont know Stacy she is the Queen of Desserts and has all the right recipes. She is so hard to get a hold of these days, but she was kind enough to take time out of her busy single lifestyle and email me 3 wonderful recipes. I decided to make the trifle which also gave me a reason to buy a trifle dish. Thanks Albert, your such a good husband. The trifle turned out perfect thanks to Stacys baking tips. In case you were wondering...yes that is chocolate shavings on top of the trifle.
Everyone commented on my beautiful layered dessert and now we have new friends. Thanks Stacy!! I miss you and Brinkley:(

Last but not least we got to see LA REVE . It's one of the newer water shows at my favorite hotel The Wynn. It was amazing. Even better I had dreams all night that I was performing in the red shoe part. I am going to see if they are hiring.
If you come to Vegas soon make sure visting us and La Reve is on your to do list.

Halloween with the Camerons

This week was full of fun Halloween suprises!! We were the traditional family and carved our pumpkins that we spent countless minutes picking out. This year I decided to carve a white pumpkin. Those of you reading this blog will probably be jealous because you haven't ever thought about carving a white pumpkin. It was amazing and I might just convert to white pumpkin carving.

Let me tell you how amazing AL is at pumpkin carving. He might be in the wrong profession. I always try to pick out hard patterns for him to carve and he never misses anything. His pumpkin is of course the skull...see below

Pumpkin carving is so much fun and since Al wont let me have a puppy yet, Blanco(name of my white pumpkin) will be until he gets soggy. Hooray for "white" pumpkin carving.
We shall now discuss costume shopping in Vegas....its crazy. There are costume stores everywhere. We went to pick up a wig for Al and there was a line from here to Reno to get in the store. After we got his $20 wig we found the same one at Smiths for $5. The big night finally arrived and it was time to put on our costumes and go back in time. Keep reading and you will understand what I mean by back in time......

The real estate agents I am working for invited us to go to dinner at and then my favorite...CLUB PURE. We ate at a restaurant in Caesars Palce named Bradley Ogden's that has all organic food. Al thinks the word organic is bad, but he seemed to enjoy the steak because there wasn't a trace of it on his plate after dinner.

We saw some crazy costumes. You may or may not be suprised at what you see below and remember we are in Vegas.

Hopefully you are still reading after those pictures. Club Pure was packed and definaely a place to people watch. My favorite part which is outside that overlooks the strip was playing amazing house music. The DJ did a remix to Thriller and then Michael Jackson showed up!! It wasnt really MJ, but it looked just like him. For those of you that want an exciting Halloween like we had better book their tickets for next year. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
