Paper Flowers for Pals and Stampin' Royalty

This week at the Pals Paper Arts, they have a great challenge which is all about Spring Flowers and the Stampin' Royalty also has a Spring theme!  These are some of the daffodils that are in our front yard! Hooray, Spring is here!

I wanted to try to make my own paper daffodils and had some fun!  I used Jaydee's awesome sketch at the Paper Players!  My flowers were created using the Fun Flowers Die and the Boho Blossoms Punch.  I used Daffodil Delight Paper of course!

This card is so bright and cheery in real life!  I think this will be the card I do with my Stamper's 6 Club this month!  I used the new Designer Paper called "Paisley Petals" and the sentiment from "Because I Care" is stamped inside one of the new "Four Frames" images.  The Paper and the Four Frames stamp set is available to purchase this month and hostesses can earn them for free!  So exciting!

Here is another picture of our overgrown but vibrant garden!  If you have any questions about my paper flowers, please let me know!

 Thanks for stopping by!

Stamping 411 and Pals Paper Arts

The Stamping 411 team and the Pals Paper Arts team both have a terrific challenge happening this week!  First I looked at the 411 sketch and thought, wow!  I need to try this.  So I went to work, sketching it out and trying to create a card to fit the cool design.  I inked up my new Four Frames stamp set again and also used some of my new Designer Paper called Paisley Petals.  I actually took my colour combo from the new designer paper.

The colours I chose are Cajun Craze, Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz.  Not a usual colour choice for me but one that I am really happy with! This sketch really pushed me out of my comfort zone and I am not sure if I am sold on what I created, but that is probably because it is something different that my usual style.

Over at Pals Paper Arts, they are challenging us to use Punches!  Punches are my favourite tools, and I used a few on this card.

I used:
The Decorative Label Punch
The Itty Bitty Punch Pack
The Bird Punch
The Scallop Edge Border Punch

Thank you for stopping by!  I appreciate your comments so much!  I hope you enjoyed my creation and get the chance to get crafty yourself today!!!

Paper Players Challenge #41 ~ Recycling Theme

Hooray!!  It is Sunday!!!  Today we have a brand new Theme Challenge at the Paper Players!  LeAnne is our hostess this week and she is challenging us to Recycle!  Yikes!  I really had to put my thinking cap on for this challenge.

I looked all over my house for something to recycle or repurpose...and then I found it...an old notebook in a bin downstairs in my craft room. The outside of it was all beat up but the paper inside was still good.

I quickly decided to use the "Sweet Stitches" designer paper from the Occasions Mini.  I've had this paper for weeks now and have never used it!!  Well I picked out this pretty, feminine paper from the pack and went to work!  I also played with a new stamp set called "Four Frames".  This set is not in any book yet!  It is a promotion for this month!!!  I will be chatting more about the promotion in coming posts!  I inked up the new stamp in Rose Red and stamped it on Vanilla Paper.  Then I punched out the image with the "Decorative Label Punch" which goes with this new stamp set!!  I also added a Iittle flower and a glimmer brad, to make it extra special because I decided I will use it for a sketch book...that is why I called it "Happiness". I love sketching card ideas!!!

I wish you could see the book in real life...the photo does not do it justice, I just could not get a good shot of it today!  I hope you like my project and join us this week at the Paper Players.  The design team has come up with some amazing projects!  I also hope you get a chance to check them out by visiting the Paper Players Challenge Blog and of course, you can check out the project of our April Guest Designer Jen from I Create.

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know!  I would love to hear from you!  Enjoy your Sunday!  You know, I really think this would be a darling project for my class to do.  We could make little books for Mother's Day!  I am so happy we are doing this Recycling Challenge, it was fun to make something different!!
